I hope they have their eyes on a few potential portal LTs in case Goosby does go pro. Of all the dumb things to do, leaving Arch's blindside exposed would be near the top of the list. Better have some options on speed dial in case they're needed.

What portal LTs? Not easy to find. Arch should send of that sweet, sweet NIL to Goosby

With regards to Baugh, has it been mentioned that Texas just hired Jabbar Juluke as RB coach, formerly Florida's RB coach?

Joined 2/4/20, this is your 23rd post. Before the 2026 thread and then this post you hadn't posted since 2021. Your primary concern before now was the Eyes of Texas "controversy."

Then this completely tone deaf post.

Oh goodie. Can't wait for the meltdowns next year:

It was Williams' ninth drop this season, which is tied for third-most in FBS behind 12 by Ashlock and San Jose State's Danny Scudero.

I'm sure Scudero has at least double the targets as Williams though.

Dude would get murdered in the SEC

Murdered is a stretch - that guy can play. Is he worth what he'll ask for, though?

You're right, hyperbole is fun though. I remember how he handled that shot he took from Hill and he does much of his work in the middle of the field, IIRC.

I'm not sure how my post is "tone deaf."  Everyone would cream their panties if Baugh entered the portal and committed to Texas.  I found it relevant that Texas hired his  position coach at Florida from this past season, since this is the transfer thread and no one had mentioned it thus far.  As far as my posting frequency and history, who gives a shit. If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out.

My post was in jest because we already have Wingo (who some would moronically be OK if he left). Imagine another, regardless of the number of targets? "Double your pleasure, double your fun."

If I'm remembering correctly Scudero had at least one, if not more, pretty easy and key drops against Texas.

Did I say we did? Or merely an interesting point if Baugh was to enter the portal? Y'all are softer than Huckleberry after he watched me fuck his mom

It's alright, dude, I don't get it either. I've wandered in like Donny.

Went back and looked at highlights of that SJSU game. Scudero doesn't show up much until the second half when we were rotating a ton of folks in on the defensive side. That is in contrast to the best white wide receiver on the field that day, a man who deserves respect and awe when you say his name: Motherfuckin' Parker Livingstone.

As a bonus, that was Baxter's best game of the year by far.

There are at least 40 guys I like to see back. Excluding graduates and early NFL entries, 40 seems right unless we're just totally writing off the notion of development and improvement across the board.

This is the number and what it should always be- 40 or so you want coming back.
roster management should be- going forward:

Every year- Elite tackle, WR, Edge, CB, RB, Safety

Every other year- Elite QB, TE, Guard, LB

thats paying top dollar for 8 guys every year. The other 16 should be 3/low star development types that you hope to hit like 3 or 4 and tell the other 12 to fuck off.
then, from the portal you should expect to need 3 elite day1/2 NFL talents to fill in where you busted and 7-10 rotational guys around the quality of the Purdue DT, or Spence from Arkansas.

this should be a roster of 45 or 50 guys ready to play at all times with 10 -15 draft picks per cycle. That seems doable for 30M-40M a year on roster spend which is what I’d expect our number to be going forward.
this absolutely works if you enforce a development curve and don’t fuck around with sentimentality. I like telling Baxter and Moore to GTFO as a sign of that happening.
We are in MLB territory now with windows, stars and scrubs and you hope you develop the “scrubs” enough to take 16 cracks at it a year and have them fill out 3-5 productive roster spots.
