I might be in the minority but I don't really care if we lose Endries.  He's a poor blocker and a solid receiver.  Nothing about his skill set seems irreplaceable by what we currently have on the roster.

he also had one catch for 50 yards.  other than that hes been a nil drain all year.

To give Endries some credit, it felt like he was the primary victim of Arch throwing passes at open receivers' feet in the first half of the year.

Endries was open a ton underneath. Could have been highly productive.

The church itself is not going to do that. But there are plenty of rich Mormons that like football and like it as an advertisement for the church. Kind of like Notre Dame and Irish Catholic identity but a bit more officially organized.

I once knew the number two guy in Scientology. I’ve got a pretty cynical view of church money.

I automatically assumed there were/are misappropriation of funds all the time through murky channels.

But it get that those who don’t believe those types of things happen might think some of that money couldn’t make its way to famous athletes, people who might represent their religion well, and give those involved with the church a chance to hobnob with famous people. Ya, I’m sure that would never happen.

Yep, he was just straight up not looked at until Arch got more comfortable/Sark tweaked things.

Treat it as an early spring scrimmage.  Nothing to get upset about.  It's meaningless.

it goes into the record books as a win or a loss, so in actuality it does mean something.

i want to pass fucking notre dame in all time wins.  this would do it

Would you rather have the most wins in ncaa history or the most titles in ncaa history?

And/or the OL could hold up for longer than 0.5 seconds

...both. Obviously. There's not much difference between playing to win and playing the players who will be important next year in this game with the opt-outs.

Is sark going to keep fucking around and not go after anyone in the portal? It’s crazy all these players have entered and he hasn’t offered a single fucking one of them. Go figure….he’s probably thinking of his exit strategy for 30 days after cheezit bowl

As a staff we seem to lock up our priority guys in the portal fairly fast in past years. I'm confident there are a few conversations being had.

Now, the bullshit that Flood has created ... tamper whatever, fix it. Ideally, we replace Flood and grab 2-3 starting quality OL.

WR we recruited 3 or so 4/5* guys a year ago. They can't all be bad? If so, coaching issues.

RB - yep we need at least one. The Florida guy seems great for this. If we don't fix Flood's debacle at OL, this won't matter.

I want us to compete and play well on offense. Arch needs to look good because there’s no excuse there. Defense we are just going to have to understand it’s like a spring game there.

It does help we are playing a 1980s offense. I am hoping Barnes has a big game.

Ian Boyd thinks with the loss of Lafau, Michigan is guaranteed to win the bowl game becuz UT is too inexperienced with remaining LBs on the roster. So I guess he's expecting for Michigan to run all over UT.

I'm with you on this. It's a pride thing and being a true Blue Blood. A free month to train our guys for next year is huge. Titles mentioned above - well, shit if we could just catch OU, I'd be happy. Alabama - won't happen in my lifetime.

Not funny. Kirby already owns Sark. Hell, GT gave them better games than we did in 3 damn tries. We are already GA/Kirby's bitch. And I live in Atlanta with a sister and brother in law that went to GA. Rest of my family went to Alabama. It's terrible.

FCB

Florida running back Jadan Baugh, who rushed for 1,170 yards (5.3 ypc) and eight touchdowns as a sophomore for the Gators this past season, is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2, agent sources tell Horns247.

Look for Texas to be a player in the Baugh sweepstakes.

Georgia already has both Chauncey Bowens and that bruising back they had for short yardage. They have Nate Frazier as well, unless he’s draft eligible.
That would be a very expensive room for them.

This could be promising. Wisner is really good but is a scatback type. Baugh would give Cooper a free year to develop. And on Wisner, that young man has shown tremendous heart and he owns aggy -/respect.

Wisner is like a significantly slower Emmitt Smith.

He’s really a power back in a 5-9/200lb body, but he has way WAY more wiggle than people expect and generally GREAT vision.

he owns aggy AND blOU.

SOURCE OFF!

Nakos: Florida working to keep RB Jadan Baugh out of the transfer portal

Quote

Earlier this week, On3 reported that Florida was in active contract negotiations to retain star running back Jadan Baugh. That remains the case, with the Gators and new head coach Jon Sumrall making clear to Baugh that they want him to be a key piece of the 2026 roster.
Sources tell On3 that communication remains open between Baugh and Florida. Sumrall is expected to meet in person with Baugh at some point next week following this Saturday’s first-round College Football Playoff game at Ole Miss. Sources have described the situation as “50-50” if Baugh enters the portal or stays in Gainesville, but Florida is also willing to do what it takes to retain the talented back.
Former Florida running backs coach Jabbar Juluke recently joined Steve Sarkisian’s Texas staff. He was Baugh’s lead recruiter at Florida and developed him over the last two seasons. If Baugh were to enter the portal, the Longhorns would be considered a major player to land Baugh due to that relationship.

Supposedly Ohio St is trying to get him so that's probably the one to be worried about if he enters. Although they already have Bo Jackson so doesn't really make sense
