-1/3rd of this starting lineup is not occupied by a SEC caliber player.

You don’t like me calling you out then fail to respond when I do.  Yet this lineup did enough to win 22 games.

Farmer, Gasparino, and Flores?

Then I’ll ask you was Ace Reese destroying the Big 12 last year?  So he was a middle of the road player at Houston.  Did he just became talented in one year?

How did Mitchell Daly go from the worst hitter in the Big 12 to 5-hole hitter on co-conference champion and CWS participant?

Granted the Aggies faltered but Ben Royo went from sub-.200 to starting in the SEC.

The vaunted Vandy Dores lost too.  Georgia too.  Kentucky I think has a 5 hole hitter at sub-.250.  Single digit homers.  Just absolutely odd these teams have so many guys riding pine that are better than our 9.

Production and ability are two different things.  Oh and by the way, these guys couldn’t hit the non-SEC staff last night.

Other than the flores/gaspo hitting mystery, i have zero clue why people think our pitching rotation ISNT 2 starters and a buncha jags?

It’s not 2 starters and a bunch of jags. It’s 2 starters, 2 relievers, and a bunch of jags

Bench Jalin, move A Rod to short, Mendoza to 2nd, and Farmer/Jonah in left and DH the other one. I think Will’s defense is enough to keep him in the game. Jalin is a complete liability in all facets.

Do you think they are willingly playing Rodriguez over Mendoza at second base? Mendoza physically can’t play the field and Rodriguez isn’t a good defensive second or third baseman so not sure why we believe he will magically be a better SS while also playing with pretty much one hand.

Nothing signals panic to your locker room like benching the guy who has played every inning at SS this year in an elimination game.

Grubbs and Ruger have fallen out of the circle of trust. Hell, Harrison was always sus.

Volantis and a bunch of JAGs.

What does bunting Flores signal?

I’m not sure the point you are trying to make. At the current moment, 1/3rd of this lineup would struggle mightily to start for any SEC team outside of Missouri or South Carolina. That doesn’t mean they couldn’t improve or get better next year. I’m speaking to the state of things currently as of June 1st.

This team found ways the last 3 months and I am glad they won 22 SEC games. But we all acknowledged during the season we were winning despite some pretty large holes in various places.

Yeah, unfortunately this Texas team simply lacks elite infielders.

He’d still probably make an attempt at the pitch at his eyes so bunting probably doesn’t help. Remember when Flores was clutch as fuck the 1st half of the season? Put on that highlight reel for him and hype him up.

Every team has some (relative) holes.  Name the team that starts 9/9 "SEC caliber" players.

Ironic then that he was their valedictorian and class president

I don’t understand how Jaylin and Will become so hapless at bat.  Jaylin batting problems have spilled over to his defense and doesn’t look like same player anymore.   Hope the guys can rebound to earlier season form and win three in a row.

It might be a good idea to give Jaylin the day off.   I saw last night he’s batting .243 which I know translates a tad differently than an MLB average of .243 because of less games being played.   Being in a critical part of the order with that batting average is no bueno.   Here’s hoping he break out of it today.

Of course it’s all relative. LSU has one regular who hit lower than .236 in SEC play.

We have 4, and 3 of them are multi-year starters.

This is correct. Spencer was our only legit starting pitcher. Harrison and Ruger have performed admirably, but they’re not Omaha caliber starters.

If Texas somehow wins both today does Jonah have to pitch Monday? They have him listed as OF/P. Could be interesting

He'd probably circle the mound, mean mugging the dugout and barking at the batter, then launch one over the backstop.

Or whatever the pitching equivalent is of what he did at the plate in his last two ABs.

I feel like we can win the regional but we sure made it very hard on ourselves. If only we did the simple things right after taking the 6-1 lead, we wouldn't find ourselves in this precarious situation.

Every arm should be available today except for Harrison. Harrison should be able to throw a couple of innings worth of pitches tomorrow if we get there.

The season could end today. Volantis is available for a whole lot longer than just an inning. It was 35 relatively low stress pitches and he has been stretched out.

hopefully, two elimination games today

all hands on deck ...

The decision to bunt Flores was also an atrocious coaching decision. I know he is in a bad spot but you have 2 sac bunts as a team all season and the guy hitting behind Flores is in just as bad of a funk as he is. If it was the bottom of the 9th to try to win the game, maybe I get it. But sac bunting to try to tie the game in the 6th inning?

Schloss has made a lot of good moves this year but that was really, really bad.

official launch date to be announced sometime this summer .

unfortunately, doesn't look like it will be available at the start of college football season

About fucking time.   The only reason I have tv streaming services is for espn. Soon no more sling, yttv or the likes.  Finally

Looking at the roster we have an infielder named Carson Luna. Can he lay down a bunt or hit a ground ball to the right side?

No…
