Wow, I truly didn't see Heuple on the hot seat averaging 9 wins a season since he got to Knoxville. They were hovering just above .500 for 15 year prior to his arrival. That one really suprises me, and he peaked at 11 wins which was their best record in 20+ years. I guess the wind is blowing that direction this year. That or losing to the newcomers in OU really chapped some hides in Knoxville. Well, that and consistently losing to Georgia and Alabama.

Lots of Bama gear running around in Tennessee..

Traylor to Auburn?

Nah this shit isn’t gonna happen.

"AAC Burner"?

Looks like a parody account, based on his posts. At least it's mildly amusing.

Have you happened to pay attention to surlyhorns.com throughout this season? Not so hard to image such a situation.

Heupel at Tennessee is the James Franklin of Matt Rhules.

That would be a good match for him and VT imo

I agree and will die on this hill: Franklin is in the top tier of coaches actually available to hire and is better than several hot names.

To your point, VaTech or Maryland will be a good fit for him. Now it comes down to who can afford to pay him more?

Probably UMD?

Maryland is a P5 job, sort of. No clue what they are thinking jumping in this cycle.

Lower-tier P4 teams have to be thinking they'll take a retread if they're jumping in this year. I don't see any other logic. And there will be plenty available.

It's a fake (though they still might do it, their fans at the game were very sick of him)

With all the chatter on sitting HCs, they could go for an up and coming coordinator.

Looks like the UMD news was bad info (and the Terps would be foolish to jump into this). So Tech looks more likely and I think he’ll do very well there.

Jeff Traylor is known as a "program builder"?  He's only been a head coach at one college program.

Kent State already made their hire.

Michigan State is approaching on the clock status. Dave Doeren might have just saved his job in Raleigh.

If Michigan State pulls the plug on their coach, does he just go back to his alma mater, where he never should have left in the first place?
