True or false:  we’d be undefeated and ahead in this game if we had started Matthew Caldwell all year.  It’s unknowable, but I suspect the answer is true.

100% true

I look at it this way: Sark and the defense allowed Arch a half to get settled into his first OU game.  The score is 6-3.
Fucking no way we can't win this 28-10.

I will bet 1 billion dollars we won’t win 28-10

Caldwell isn’t playing. So call plays that might work. You can Hope all you want but Caldwell won’t be playing

You're being hypocritical here. You don't want to call plays that should result in TDs because Arch isn't the best at them and we don't have time for learning. But you also don't want to play the experienced QB that could execute those plays because presumably you want Arch to learn as our future at QB. I don't understand this perspective. I personally think Arch can learn to do this. And if we want to get better ever, we have to give him opportunities to do so. Calling more plays to utilize his feet (which we should do), doesn't mean not calling plays like that.

I am convinced Sark doesn’t actually watch the offensive play during the game is thinking of what to call next. He has no feel for a D as the game progresses whatsoever.

Which is why we need a real goddamn OC

Think it’s 90% offensive line and playcalling

I just can't agree on the play calling. Everyone loves to bag on play calling when more often than not, the execution wasn't there. That's not to say Sark hasn't made some shit play calls, but I think majority of the time it's failure of players to execute.

Arch isn't as far along in seeing the field and the game slowing down as we'd like. He has left a LOT of meat on the bone, but the trash OL is a large part of that too. A young QB will see ghosts on plays when the pressure isn't there, if it usually is. I wish Sark had allowed him more live snaps last season and to throw passes, not just use his legs. But he didn't want the controversy AND we often didn't have the kind of leads where we'd be comfortable enough to let him play. Shades of Mack Brown and Garret Gilbert.

Ill watch of course but this is over.  You can’t have a HC that stupid in a game this close and a QB w injured throwing hand.  Both teams maybe top 15ish.  OU isn’t top 10 and UT is most definitely top 25.
Can’t get my hopes up with an imbecile coach.

I want to fight everyone involved in this Daisy dollop commercial.

What, you don't like sour cream on your mac-n-cheese?

Next thing you know they'll be a Daisy Sour Cream Bowl and the winning coach will get it dumped on him.

I’m saying Sark won’t be playing Caldwell. So stop calling plays that the QB that you are going to play can’t execute. I want to win TODAY.

We’d be ahead in this game if Arch could execute a simple slant.  How then is the coach and OL the biggest problem?  Our QB isn’t very good.  He’s just an athlete playing QB.  It’s the biggest problem.

Very true.  His field vision is poor, his processing speed is slow.  Will it be better next year?  Possibly with more experience but far from certain
