I kinda wish this waited until after the season, so recruiting, current players and team dynamics wouldn’t suffer. Why is it important to blow everything up right now? I get he’s fucking up but it will be everybody having a hand in this if everything has to blow up now, because it absolutely doesn’t have to. This season is still very salvageable.

We weren't going to be anything but ass with this O-line.  That doesn't get fixed immediately.  We suffered a huge talent dropoff.  Blame that on Sark, sure, but it doesn't correlate to missing junior days or having a baby.

No no, Sark missing junior day is why Arch Knoblauch has been dirting throws to wide open dudes. And why Wingo can't catch it on the rare occasion that it hits him in the hands.

Again, how is the season wasted 8 games in, when we are 6-2 and SEC title game and CFP appearance are still readily achievable?  You babies are acting like we are 3-5 and already eliminated from the SEC CCG and playoffs.

The histrionics are pretty tiresome.  Especially because 80% of the "this season is ruined and Sark should be fired" will have a different tune if we beat Vandy.

Yep. And we’ve won two sec games.  Those aren’t given.  Those are earned!

What exactly did we have a hand in? Sark has FAFO’d the entire offseason since January. The recruits knew he wasn’t there on Junior day. He did nothing to address the oline woes in the offseason. He established an NFL practice type model that has failed everywheee it’s been employed in college. He’s capable of calling an offense Arch can flourish in but only does so when it’s “break glass in case of emergency” type deal. He plays his dudes while other Badasses sit on the bench. Forget the personal shit. Dude’s on the field product that he is solely responsible for sucks. I doubt recruits care about Loreal or whatever else. They want to do well and earn a big NFL contract. Ewers dropped to the 7th round of the draft. Sark is responsible for all of this. Recruits see that. They don’t care if Sark’s personal life is messy.

Why do we even need a junior day and if we do why does sark have to be there?   Everyone needs a vacation

The only thing we know is that Sark took an extended vacation after the play-offs and missed Junior Day (claiming the flu), and that we have a shitty offensive line.

hey fuck your momma. And your reading comprehension skills. I have already explained I have a good friend I’ve known for over a decade that has known Loreal long before Sark left his wife for Loreal. that’s where I got my stuff. But honestly that personal shit is no excuse for him screwing off the entire offseason.

None of the personal gossip excuses what’s happening on the field with his offense, his dudes and his playcalls.  Most of you take what is said about sark too personally. Like he’s your personal god. You want to shoot the messenger as though  that will change anything,

Don’t like it ask Sark why he missed Junior day and didn’t address the oline issues in the offseason and went to a NFL bullshit practice model and ditched the spring game. Touché. To be fair I’m just dreading the other shoe dropping—another loss. I want us to win. Period. Sark is 2-8 against top ten teams. Vandy is now ranked in the top ten. Vandy is a big test but Georgia will be an even bigger one. The whole thread will tilt towards my crazy lameass side if we don’t accomplish the playoffs. Something he has already made more difficult for us to accomplish due to FAFO offseason. For now I’m just an easy target. Winning against bottom feeders who both collapsed in OT against us is not sustainable. But nonetheless I will continue to hope and pray we win out and make the playoffs.

Beating me up won’t change a damned thing.

I think our chances of making the playoffs are essentially zero.  We all see what's happening on the field.  Football is weird, though.  A&M flipped the script in one year.

I will say this:  losing 23 key players to the NFL over 2 years is not easy to overcome.  Ohio State has done a better job for sure, but you can see that programs like UGA and LSU and (especially) Clemson are struggling.  Clemson has a boob for a head coach, but UGA and (until Saturday) LSU have/had coaches that are totally capable of leveraging NIL and the portal.  But, things happen.  I think we're suffering a similar fate.  I have no reason to believe it's permanent.

Yeah but considering all the TMZ type of shit that has been swirling about Sark his entire career, it’s par for the course.

We’re talking about a guy who was caught picking his nose and eating his boogers on national television. A guy who at his previous HC job was visibly drunk at practices and shitfaced at a very public pep rally for the world to see. Then Sark had the nerve to sue SC for wrongful termination to the tune of $30 million dollars (which he lost), claiming his alcoholism was a disability and the school didn’t let him seek help.

Don’t forget Sark also hired a guy (Banks) on his staff who is married to monkey carrying stripper. Banks was also sued because this monkey was alleged to have bitten a child on Halloween. TMZ shit.

All in the past, sure. While at Texas Sark hasn’t done anything close to his messy shit in the past. But excuse us for having our antennas up when Sark doesn’t show up to Junior Day claiming to have the flu, then he publicly announces a divorce before reconciling with his wife and then announcing a surprise baby. All of this happening in a spring where he cancels the fucking spring game where we have a Manning as the starting QB, just to have a fan day where we can all take pictures with Sark and the team instead of watching them actually play. And then rolling out this dogshit offense in Year 5. We’d be fucking stupid to think everything was fine.

And a 9-3 Texas, assuming our 3rd loss is Georgia on the road, is going to be very hard to leave out.

He fucked up trusting his OL coach on recruiting and evaluation, his QB is struggling to adapt to the college game as a first year starter, and that means he checked out from coaching the team?

Sark missed a JR day with the flu.

If the team was 8-0 right now and dominating? Crickets about it

They're 6-2 with one of the worst offensive lines in program history and a QB struggling to overcome the yips? Must mean he checked out! His wife fucked his first round pick receiver and got pregnant! He bailed on the program for 30 days and didnt tell anyone! Then he's bailed on them more!

I'm going to say this as callously as possible:

second note: I know sobriety is hard, my vice was wine and it was reflected in my posts in a bad way back then, I am coming up on four years of sobriety. I am rooting for sark. I truly am. But part of choosing a life of sobriety is a willingness to change. To point the finger at yourself, recognize you are the architect of your own mess. I wouldn’t take a job with this much pressure and this much money (period) if I couldn’t clean up my own house first. That may seem harsh but there were rumors from the Alabama fan boards about sark disappearing for long stretches there as well. They loved him. And also could recognize something wasn’t right. I want the best for Sark the man. But if he can’t get his shit together he doesn’t need to be running a multi billion dollar football team. Take the money, go on a vacation. Go to a super fancy rehab program where you can see your family every day. Tomorrow is not promised. Maybe he needs to focus on himself and his family right now and not football. If it gets any worse he will be run out of here and no one wants that, he’s talented. Maybe he needs a break and some serious soul searching to get his shit right if he still wants to coach until he’s 70.

lol now he was drunk at bama too. Speculation station.

It was based on a Saturday Down South article. And Bama fan speculation on message boards.

People forget Sark was with Bama 2x. He was fired for issues created by his alcoholism by USC in 2015 and left to be with bama in 2016.

He was promoted to interim OC at bama for the MNC game. Shortly after the game he went to be the OC for the Falcons. He got fired and went back to Bama to be OC a second time.

The article focused on the friction between him and Saban that led to sark’s departure to the Falcons and Saban not wanting the same mistakes to be repeated. the article went into detail about Nick keeping a close eye on Sark and many believed the reason why was to keep Sark sober.

Then after saying he wasn’t leaving he ditched bama to be the HC of the Longhorns. Guy doesn’t take breaks at all. Damn. The people on the bama forum mentioned stretches of absences by Sark during both stints at Bama. Most believed because of his prior struggles at other places that the absences were due to more of the same.

it’s like you guys didn’t read shit about sark after we hired him. None of this is new news. Surly didn’t break jack shit. If you are ignorant about his previous struggles everywhere else he’s been you are in the minority. Most people already knew all this shit. Surly is like the last to actually discuss it. Period, it’s been discussed a lot everywhere else, by a lot of people. We aren’t breaking anything new. Period. None of this information was hidden from you.
