1. This falls under the “Is it that fucking hard to just rub one out?” You are willing to lose it all over something that could have been resolved with some lotion in a hot shower.

2. Michigan has been walking around like high clergy as a public Ivy who can have it all. lol. They ain’t no better than LSU or ARKY.

Your posts are getting increasingly terrible.

She kept it secret even after it ended until he stalked her relentlessly this past week after she ended it. Only then did she report it, you literally said being stalked is a scary thing to suffer but then completely mischaracterize her actions. So not only was she a victim of a predatory work superior she was also stalked and harassed.

But you really want to believe she's at fault. Perhaps that could be slightly true if she initiated and vigorously pursued him at the outset but literally nothing supports that so far. Still, of course, it would have been very easy to just say no in his position in this hypothetical but he didn't do that. In fact, his behavior on Friday completely contradicts the idea that he was a victim of a woman's pursuit and all-powerful vagina as so many apparently believe exists.

So you claim to have been vigorously pursued by a woman but said no, you understand being stalked is scary, but somehow in this situation you are claiming she must be at fault because Moore couldn't possibly say no to a woman and even though he stalked her.

You make zero sense and your claimed personal history should make it easy for you to understand why.

Are you suggesting she’s faultless in this situation? She seems to have been stalked after she decided to end whatever it was they had. And while it is true that Moore could have/should have resisted, the same must be said of her. Truth be told, I’m probably much more cynical of the sports related interracial love relationships where millions are involved than the average observer.

She's an unethical floozy for sure.  The true victims are Sherrone's wife and daughters.  It definitely takes two to tango.  However, she ended it.  Looks like Sherronne had other women lined up but actually loved Paige.  But, when it's over, it's over

Yes - she is. The power dynamics alone make it that way. Say no and lose job or say no and have this powerful man (who has other powerful people behind him) slander you… etc etc. Once HE crossed any kind of professional line - this was on him.

Well, those boys at Jenner and Block sure are a first-rate, cracker-jack outfit! They couldn't find any evidence of an affair despite the following:

  • Rumors of the affair were rampant at the school and the internet
  • Paige got a suspiciously huge pay-raise
  • Coach was apparently DMing OnlyFans gals. Did he do it from a university-issued phone?
  • Her attempt to transfer to another department was blocked by the coach
  • Coach calls a pizza place to get a pie named after her. You know, normal stuff.
  • Coach has been previously involved in two other alleged affairs
  • Affair lasted over two years

Maybe since Jenner and Block couldn't find any trace of an internal affair earlier this fall, they aren't possibly the best choice to handle the ongoing investigation.

They were hired to NOT find anything, get it?

I strongly disagree that a white woman would lose her job for refusing and properly reporting on the amorous advances of her black male superior. Girlfriend obviously has a thing for black men. He clearly likes whites women. We don’t know who zoomed who first.

I'm not really in an argumentative mood, but you could easily take out in color descriptors, and all of this could still be true. That said, I don't think you're necessarily wrong. However, to your point about specific racial preferences, there's more data on him. For her, we only have one data point. So that shifts the argument slightly back toward the overall power dynamic.

is you Mr issue with the girl being white or the coach being black?

Some here believe the race dynamic is less consequential than the power dynamic. I think it’s important not to downplay the consequences of race in situations like this.  They guy who dragged Moore in the video clip up thread did so in a comical way but he was making a serious point about men like Moore.

Yes, I'm saying that she is faultless based on all currently available information.

The people who think she actually consented to the head coach when he could fire her for not giving into his advances are the same people who think strippers actually like them.

Don’t think it’s race.  Sherrone just went off the deep end.  Otherwise he’s likely interviewing for an asst position elsewhere.  Mel tuckers race wasn’t an issue.   He was just a creep. So you got a creep and a beta soy boy who went off the deep end when his mistress cut him off and cried on the sideline his first game as an interim head coach.

I understand the dynamics. Both made are terrible decision makers apparently.  The person with the family and kids and is much older should know better and say no thanks period.  Can someone tell me why he deserved to be the head coach of the a program with the most wins in history.  Their decision to hire him is their choice and what came with that is not surprising in the least.

Well, that’s certainly one way of looking at it. Otoh, an ill intentioned woman might lie on a black man known to like white women and accuse him of something not caught on camera in a hotel lobby and get him fired. Amy Cooper literally bragged about the racial dynamic she invoked while claiming her lie about the Central Park bird watcher would be believed by the police  It’s possible to accuse a black man of drowning your children and set in motion a dragnet to ensnare every black man in a county. There used to be a time when a black male teen could be bludgeoned to death based on a later recanted lie of white woman

These things occur because of the idolatry of whiteness present in white people and people of color

You’re on surly.  The idea of racism even existing or playing a part in society is seen as a joke here.  If you make a racist comment it’s just jokes.  If you push back against it you’re “being political” and need to take it to the CR.  I wouldn’t waste my time trying to explain power dynamics in  America and how titles and actual power aren’t necessarily tied together.

Wait, what? As the head coach of the football team of the premier university, he was arguably one of the most powerful people in the state of Michigan.

Might want to work on your proof points. As I recall, it didn't go so well for Amy Cooper.

If true, this is all circumstantial evidence that seems ironclad in hindsight.  Even setting aside UM's motives, if there's no more concrete evidence than the above, it's hard to justify firing based on this.

What is interesting is that the 'investigation' seems to have consisted of simply asking each of them if they were having an affair, to which they answered no.

Last week, she purportedly provided 'ironclad evidence' to the law firm to prove she did have an affair. I wonder what it was and why they couldn't identify it earlier?

Michiganders on YouTube saying it was openly talked about this fall and even national sports commentators are now coming forward. Michigan Man Rich Eisen is now saying he was informed about it but didn't speak about it.

Also, the school reported that they investigated him two other times. I'm no lawyer and I'm not privy to the details, but it sure seems like they didn't try very hard.

Michigan vloggers are questioning the significance of everything happening AFTER National Signing Day, lol.

The previous coach is involved in cheating and recruiting scandals that involved him lying to the NCAA and being suspended twice for major violations. He is not fired. The second coach has sex with an employee and is fired for it. Michigan not being consistent with its conduct policy because the previous coach was winning against Ohio St is going to open the door for racial bias allegations. It’s not racism driving these decisions but the win at all costs mindset and I for one am happy to see them get all of the criticism they can get even if it is misdirected.

Well, the kind of evidence I am referring to is documentary evidence (texts, photos, email) and witness testimony (I saw em).

As long as they kept their comms off school systems (email, etc.) the University and their lawyers would have no way of legally obtaining for example cell phone records.  I think there have been statements that Moore did not "cooperate" with the investigation, which would seem to mean didn't cough up his cell phone or personal PC.

It would seem likely that UM also provided cell phones and service to at least Moore if not her and other staffers and it seems they would retain rights to do deep dives on those, but personal or "burner" phones and accounts would have to be voluntarily provided.

There's no burden of proof for something like this until somebody sues.  But the above wouldn't satisfy a criminal burden if there was any it's about 50/50 on a civil case, depending on what kind of credible excuses Moore could offer for the more objective evidence.

But taking seriously adverse employment action based on evidence like the above would be somewhat dangerous for the institution and invite a civil case.

Another interesting and slightly funny detail that is being reported by Michigan people is that Paige was responsible for taking care of Moore's wife and children at the stadium on game days!!! :(

That might have been, well, awkward.

You sound rather naive. The volume of affairs occurring is staggering. Most are never discovered. The person at fault is the one bringing butter knives and break-ins into the equation.

Hindsight is 20/20. He was OC for their National Championship team. Ryan Day, Lincoln Riley, and Marcus Freeman were all promoted to HC at their respective blue blood programs when their predecessor left or retired. None of them were fresh off of a national championship either. He was every bit if not more qualified than any of them. Just because Moore crashed out in spectacular fashion doesn’t mean he didn’t “deserve” to be promoted when Harbaugh left.

Well, he does raise sort of an interesting point.

The law rightly presumes or assumes that consent is lacking in employer/employee sexual relationships (and in other situations where the power dynamics disfavor one party).  This is because consent often is lacking, or at least compromised, but further that we want to penalize and deter such relationships.

But that is a bit of a legal fiction that is indulged so we don't get lost in the details of every such relationship and whether there was or wasn't consent.

In the absolute sense, though, both parties retain some agency, depending on the particular relationship and parties involved.

Used to be.   Times have changed. Now a black man can be president of the US.

now a black man, with h no HC experience, can get a top 5 head coaching job.  Oh and his direct boss also happens to be black

The facts will come out    Allegedly, she went to the university because he wouldn’t leave her alone  allegedly, she has receipts    Allegedly, Sherrone was trying to step out on her too   I respect no man who has no loyalty to his wife and kids

Thanks, that is good info.

Yes, I understand the university needs concrete evidence or they open themselves up to litigation, and that their access was limited.

Regardless, it sure does seem like they were running a clown-show of an athletic department over there.

Yeah, I'm not saying UM wasn't looking the other way, seems like they probably were.  But even if they weren't, I haven't seen anything that would make it easy to terminate him until she fessed up.

The fact that no witnesses came forward maybe says something about the Department in and of itself.  I find it hard to believe there weren't witnesses that could corroborate and flesh out the suspicions.

Which brings me to the firing. It has been reported that the AD fired Moore all by himself. No one else was present.

Doesn't that seem a little...strange? You have an incendiary-level situation here and you don't have a university lawyer, HR rep, or a president in the room?

Moore was fired for cause and the university trashed the fuck out of him in their press release, just as UT did with Beard. Yet, they don't have a highly-trained person from the law firm that is handling the investigation or the head of HR in the room just to cover themselves?

It honestly reminds me a little of Frederich Fromm, the poor German general who was loosely tied up in the plot to kill Hitler. Once he caught the conspirators, he had them all quickly shot, so they couldn't tell anyone about his involvement. (it ultimately didn't save him, as the Nazis figured out he was covering his tracks and shot him, too)

Why did the AD need to have his conversation with Moore as private as possible?

Thoughts?

Well, in one sense, having it "man to man" is less humiliating than giving them "the box" and having them escorted off the premises.

On the other, it seems pretty unorthodox.

According to reports by ESPN and The Detroit News, Michigan has commissioned a Chicago-based law firm, Jenner & Block, to investigate the culture of the athletic department due to the many scandals within Michigan athletics in recent years.

Jenner & Block began investigating Moore earlier this fall after Michigan received an anonymous tip that the Wolverines’ football coach had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. While that investigation initially did not find enough evidence to confirm the relationship, Moore was fired Wednesday after the staff member told university officials that she had been in a relationship with Moore. Moore was subsequently arrested and charged with home invasion, stalking and illegal entry after entering the staffer’s home without permission.

In the wake of Moore’s firing and arrest, Michigan has asked Jenner & Block to expand the scope of its investigation to the entire athletic department.

They will do a thorough and detailed examination and provide only a verbal report of the information, says the former Baylor staffer, and now head of Michigan compliance.

I fail to see how the AD keeps his job. But clearly there is a level of corruption that seems to span past the AD. In my rather small view, it’s what happens when you have a scandal (cheating on the field) and those around it close ranks for the purposes of winning. I have no idea what this Chicago Law Firm they have retained will find but I can see a couple of people being removed from their jobs here. It started when they either were complicit or didn’t give a fuck about the cheating scandal and kept many of the people involved. Like let’s keep this in house. You reap what you sow. Did they know Moore would go batshit? Probably not figuring his job mattered more to Moore than a piece or pieces of ass. He clearly didn’t have reverence for the position he was entrusted with but the people who gave him that role are corrupt too. I expect to see some  firings.

Based on current evidence, we don’t know one way or the other. Moore definitely seems like the kind of guy that would abuse his position. We haven’t heard from her (nor are we likely to) so it’s hard to say. There are women who are attracted to positions of power or see a dipshit who fell into it (see NBA). Both seem common enough nowadays it would be hard to take a position. Theres a third possibility here though that’s new to me though. It’s the ….”i cannot let anyone know I was fu king a guy dumb enough to try to kill himself with butter knives cover up.”  Could be stidied at UM law school for years to come.
