And the fact it is unusual that there were two shooters. After a mass shooting bc of the confusion and amount of shots and people not knowing where the shots came from etc…we always hear initial media reports that it is suspected that there is more than one shooter and it’s almost always turns out to be just a lone gunman. Tracing the guns etc…I am sure is a top priority that this isn’t something larger and part of a plan for other future events or connected to one.

We almost always hear two shooters and it turns out to be just a lone shooter. So this is definitely different because have two known shooters and we have proof that there were two in this terrible mass murder.

It’s not super odd; almost all right-wing or “mental health” shootings are lone wolves but Islamic/jihadist attacks are not always but frequently planned and carried out in groups. The radicalization process is also different, it is extremely likely that these two were connected in person and partially radicalized in a community; incels and right wingers do it almost all online.

The point I wanted to make is simply this.  If someone wraps one arm around my neck from behind and I have a knife in my belt the knife will be in his kidney.  No doubt this guy is a hero, just glad it turned out well.

You must have really long arms.

The guy who disarmed the shooter got shot twice.

The shooter on the bridge was right behind the other shooter whose gun was taken. So I wouldn't be surprised if the hero was shot by the guy on the bridge after taking the gun. See longer video below.  It also strikes me that we have a number of different angles of this already from people extremely close to and in the direct line of fire of the shooters. I know it shouldn't be surprising at this point, but pulling out my phone to video would not be top of mind for me in this situation:

No thanks. In 2003 I was standing in an English class in Mexico trying to teach them words by charades. "Break" came up, and I hit my neck with one hand and the side of my head with the other. A little too hard.

There was a pop.

For a few seconds I and the class looked at each other, as I waited for my body to collapse under me. Thoughts like "what a stupid way to go out" flashed through my mind.

Pencils are cheap. Snap a pencil in two if you're teaching English.

I have taught English in a Spanish speaking country and never once injured myself during a lesson.

Do you know where kidneys are located?

Yes, after trying to sleep on ice bags one night to stop the bleeding after taking a knee on one in eighth grade football practice.  No further comments from me re what I apparently wrongly considered MIGHT be friendly advice.

Makes sense, here’s an interview with somebody who knows the hero/related to him (hero is in the hospital undergoing surgery) - he said he was shot in the shoulder and hand, which had to be after he disarmed the shooter.

I say that because he appears to be able to wrestle with the shooter just fine, but it’s possible he got shot before or during the struggle or the adrenaline was pumping.

It's too bad the father died already.  I would prefer they both die slowly and as painfully as possible.  Anyone who can do this isn't human.  I hope the younger one suffers as much as possible before someone ends his useless life.

Australia huh?  Guess Jim Jeffries is going to have to rework his gun bit, which sucks because that bit is fucking awesome.

And that fruit stand guy has MASSIVE cajones on him

I will never understand the hate for Jews "other people" in this world.

the good, well, reality of this, is many of us weren't raised into families with a legacy of violence from any "other" group.

I actually was, but mostly from a distance, and really the hatred hangs on for decades and the reality is some generations just will have it and it ain't going anywhere. Humans gonna human.

this fucking sucks.

So, those are apparently shotguns?  Looks like a straight-pull bolt action with an extended tube magazine and a very long barrel?
Wild.

Yeah I was trying to figure out what kind of gun they were too. The first vid I saw, I thought shit someone grabbed ArmyBrats first flintlock and started shooting people like it was the 1600’s.
It's very difficult to get your hands on just a single shot long rifle in Australia, much less anything beyond that.
Gun control works very, very well over there.

I mean, it’s an island.

These two men, if reports are accurate, are from Pakistan.  If so, they and their families have never been subject to violence from Jews or “Zionists.” (Although from my time living there, I can attest that casual anti-Semitism and insane anti-Israel conspiracy theories run rampant despite Israel’s profound lack of interest in Pakistan and the local Jewish community numbering in the triple digits).

In Pakistan, the Muslim majority regularly inflicts great legalized violence on religious minorities including Muslims who have an unsatisfactory theology. It is quite literally written into the legal code.

At some point, they traveled over 7000 miles to a multi-ethnic, secular democracy, presumably because their home nation— which by constitution is established and exists for Muslims with others merely tolerated at best— offered fewer material opportunities. Some years later they carried out a family mass shooting of Jews celebrating a holiday at a beach.

They are not the victims of generational violence committed by Jews or Zionists, and they are not mentally ill. The have willingly consumed a potent and vicious ideology that holds that all Muslims are victims of Israel and that Muslims have been unjustly dispossessed of their rightful heritage of political power over non-believers.

This is not an interpretation of Islam that all, or even most Muslims adhere to. But it is also not completely insignificant and fringe, sometimes more so in emigre communities living in places where religious tolerance and freedom is a given.  Many of its adherents and proselytizers find more freedom of action outside of Islamic majority nations because most of them use state power to ensure that political Islam colors within lines acceptable to authorities.

So not only did he disarm one gunman, he drew fire from the other gunman away from the crowd for some amount of time.

Here's a helpful tip:  from behind the shooter, place one forearm around front of neck, the other forearm across back of neck.  Snap them toward each other until shooter is paralyzed with pain or neck breaks.  The effect is instantaneous.  If you do not believe this have a friend GENTLY demonstrate it on you.

With your knee(s) forcing into your opponent's BACK of knees, making them buckle or fall backwards.  #Judo

Oh yeah.
Just, in any circumstance, those are unusual guns.

Bolt action shotgun?  Correct, not as common.  For Duck & Dove or Pheasant type wings hooting you want multiple "faster action / sweep & shoot" capability with a "sporting" plug (removeable) that restricts the # of rounds (shells) it will hold, making capacity from 5 down to 3.

Most bolt action shotguns are for slug shooting such as bear, deer, etc.
& From my first listen, I thought it was a shotgun.  Granted, phone recording.

Brave as fuck (& dangerous) for the person in or behind that black car to document the shooter for so long.

When I was a kid, I hunted rabbits on my grandfather's farm with a bolt action 410 shotgun. It had a clip that held four or five shells.
