In his online activity authorities uncovered his obsession with previous mass shootings and spree killings, including the 1999 Columbine High School shooting.

Documents revealed Lanza had created a meticulous spreadsheet of previous mass murders.

The files reveal one woman, whose identity was redacted, had an "online relationship" with him for more than two years after meeting him through a website where players adopt the roles of the Columbine shooters, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.

She never knew Lanza's name or true identity, only speaking under usernames, but described him as "the weirdest person online" who spent almost all of his time researching and discussing mass murders.

I was pretty scared until the closing parenthesis.

She sounds pretty fucked up herself. I mean, she is role playing the Columbine killers with that asshole. What type of person does that? Everyone that does that needs to be on a watchlist, her included. She is hardly less "weird" than Lanza.

I don't think Nikki is all that bright.  Plus, with the increasing polarization along educational lines, I think her brand of middle-brow conservatism will have limited purchase in the future of her party.  The future of the GOP will be the Dan Patricks, not the Nikki Haleys.

Agreed. However, legacy media outlets and cable news will continue to push her type as representative of many conservatives so they can continue to pretend that the Republican party is not literally a fascist party these days. They'll cling to their "both sides!" bullshit until Trump sends them to the camps.

Jews for Jesus/Messianic “Judaism” should be offensive to both real Christians and Jews. They are in no way real Jews and that asshole with Pence is in no way a real rabbi. Jews have every right to be offended by such bs. Also, as a Christian, I find what Messianic “Jews” try to pretend to be to be as theologically repugnant. St. Paul rebuked those in the early church for such bullshit.

I am glad that there is something we can agree on :) If you delve into Messianic “Judaism” it gets more revolting at every turn. They call their churches “temples”, have Stars of David plastered on them, some wear yarmulkes and celebrate Jewish holidays. Completely fraudulent in every facet. If you believe in Christ’s divinity, resurrection and what that means you are a Christian. You can have great admiration and respect for Judaism as a Christian but trying to pass yourself off as one to attract more Jews is disgusting.

As a business major at UT, I had a mandatory writing component credit that I needed to get.  By the time adds and drops were almost done, I was desperate and lucked into one that opened up-Antisemitism in History and Literature.  Aside from being way out of my element, the class was full of ringers (Jews)/(Liberal Arts majors). My writing skills needed some work, and I struggled with the material, not having ever experienced Antisemitism first hand nor having had any Jewish friends growing up.  Hell, as a Catholic, I didn't really have any catholic friends.  But I digress.

Toward the end of the semester, our prof(Jew) told this story about how he was accosted by one of the Jews for Jesus people and was handed a pamphlet, which he promptly wadded up in the presence of the Jesus Jew person to show his ire for the organization.  Being naive, I thought it was kind of a dick move, but sure enough, those guys are kind of weird.

Even though I made a C in the class after working my ass off, I did become a much better writer and learned a hell of a lot more than the ringers in there.  One of my best classes at UT.

It was a fall class and as the holiday season approached I even felt accepted enough to wish everyone and the professor a holiday greeting:

Merry  Jewish!!!

I dated a Jewish girl in college. She had jewbies, and they were spectacular.  Wait, what were we talking about again?

You can't fake jewbies so I am against Jews for Jesus.

Wait.  A Jews for Jesus gal HAS jewbies.  You get the carnival ride without the lectures.  (Well, unless she's a Jews for Southern Baptists.  Then you're on your own.)

See, the deal is, she's not a real jew.  So no real jewbies.

What's worse than FAKE NEWS!?  FAKE JEWS!

We're going to need a Jewling on this.  Born a Jew, start following Yeshua --> Ivanka in reverse.

Ivanka does NOT have Jewbies.  Ergo, Jews for Jesii have Jewbies.

It's science.

Dude, you have a point (and that's why the offending post is in solid red territory), but you like to read your writing a bit too much. Careful, that's how Brisketexan got started.

Following up with this:  I was traveling the past several days with limited connection, so I didn't have time to read and write much.  I saw that brisket made yet another post wishing harm on users here, this time wishing for the violent deaths of poster's family members.  Now I see that he stuck with his wishes of harm for several pages and only apologized when several reasonable (and normally sympathetic to brisket) posters chimed in and told him he has become a violent lunatic, exactly like those he claims to despise.  So he apologized (but mostly just defended himself) only under public pressure from forum allies and then used the opportunity to give another one of his blog style sermons that got lots of praise in Trump rally fashion.  Maybe I missed it, but you didn't seem to take issue with any of this, but you did take the time to object to the style in which I choose to mock what a joke of a poster he has become and how pathetic this place is for praising his manic drivel.

Brisket is a clown; he is an adult version of a pre-teen squeaker screeching that he fucked your mom when things don't go his way.  But he is only one poster and really he is just a symptom of a more general problem with the forum and not the cause of it.  This forum is overran with mindless twitter spammers, facebook quality posters, and several dozen interchangeable posters who provide nothing more than facsimiles of a narrow set of political talking points.  In times past these types of posters would not have fared as well among this group, but now they thrive here. There is very little original thought and content worth reading as the good posters who provide content worth reading post less and less.  There are a few things that could be done to address these problems, but none of these things are going to be done so I won't waste time enumerating them.  What is odd to me is that an otherwise quality poster such as yourself doesn't seem all that bothered by any of this; in fact, this place seems to suit you.  Correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah a couple of years ago we had nothing but deep intellectual chats and were not overrun by Swam's insane garbage or anything.

The twitter link overload is a new thing, but that’s mostly because it’s easy to link to tweets now and we’re mostly not the type of assholes that love to steal someone else’s words as our own.

Hell, it’s not like there’s been any need for original ideas. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that fascists are bad. The problem is some people are selfish assholes who don’t give a shit. None of us (aside from Brisket once upon a time) have any desire to frequently waste significant time typing up long explanations for why it’s actually good to care about your fellow man and implement policy that helps others, because the intended audience would be a bunch of disingenuous trolls who aren’t going to be talked into giving a shit and aren’t interested in a legitimate discussion.

I wasn’t here for these glory days some are pining for but it’s WAY easier to post a tweet with a simple copy and paste than to link and paste the text of an article - especially for fast moving/breaking news stories.

And especially on Tapa.

And I’m sorry, if the freaking president uses Twitter as his default press secretary, then it’s good enough for a message board.

This place would be horrible if everyone posted long winded essays of 5,000 words when they can get the message across in 1/16th of that.

So don't have actual thoughtful statements cause people will be mean?

Brisket was teetering after trump won, and people were telling him to cool it, but he kept yelling his lungs out that he was such a good man that is very much in the right that finally fell off his high horse and told someone to die.

If others had spoken up and not rile him up with retohric of keeping up the good fight he might not had done such a thing.

I never claimed it was nothing but deep intellectual chats, but high volume mindless posting was not as encouraged.  There is a difference between obstinate posters persisting despite resistance and spammers & garbage posters being praised and encouraged.  On the home page right now, the top two weekly "popular contributors" listed for the entire board are a guy who wished for the death of the children of another user this week and an SEC facebook mom.  Collectively, this place encourages mindless rhetoric.

This.  It's hard to have a legitimate discussion about, oh say, immigration, when the right is disingenuously arguing about so called anchor babies, fearmongering about a caravan 1000 miles away, arguing that the 14th amendment should be shredded by executive order, and that we need to put kids in prisons because of Killary.  Then they complain that everyone who doesn't agree with this shit is a libtard socialist cuck soy boy.  There's no reasonable debate to be had with people like that, and no other side most sane people want to hear about.  If the Republicans ever get back to actual conservative ideas, and not just lying about facts with Alex Jones' conspiracy theories, maybe there will be real discussion.
