Hundreds of vagina plaster casts spill onto road after crash

Quote

They came a long way — but probably didn’t make the opening.

Hundreds of white plaster casts of vaginas, believed to have been en route to an art gallery, tumbled onto a road in Irkutsk, Russia, last month after a traffic crash.

Bizarre video footage shot by a passerby on Sept. 22 shows a trail of broken vaginas leading up to the back of a truck, CEN reports.

In the short clip, a man believed to be the driver tries to secure his lost load.

“There was apparently no significant material damage, as no one called the traffic police at the time,” the department regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs later said in a statement.

“After exchanging details, they apparently left to continue their journeys,” the statement continued.

Vaginal art was pioneered by British sculptor Jamie McCartney, who shot to fame for his 26-foot wall installation “The Great Wall of Vagina,” comprised of plaster casts taken from over 400 women’s genitals.

Other unusual cargo that has spilled onto roads in recent years include nacho cheese in Arkansas; dice in Georgia; and tomatoes in California.

Video: Florida man with ‘all gas, no brakes’ neck tattoo crashes after fleeing Polk County crime scene

DAVENPORT, Fla. - A man has been arrested and a woman remains hospitalized after deputies say the couple was involved in a vehicle crash as they tried to flee from authorities in a Polk County subdivision following reports of car burglaries.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a car burglary in the Preservation Pointe neighborhood off of County Road 547 at around 3:28 a.m. on Monday. Deputies say a man and a woman were seen trying to break into several vehicles in the neighborhood.

According to PCSO, the suspects’ white 2006 Cadillac CTS was last seen headed toward the only exit out of the neighborhood.

A deputy says he tried to pull the Cadillac over, but it sped away into the neighborhood. PCSO says the deputy did not pursue the car because there was only one way in and out of the subdivision.

"There's one way in and one way out," said Brian Bruchey, a spokesperson with PCSO. "They were like a trapped mouse running around trying to get out of there."

While speeding through the streets, investigators say the suspects sped past one deputy, turned around and sped back down the same street while trying to find a way out.

According to PCSO, the Cadillac eventually slammed into a parked and unoccupied vehicle.

"If they were to lose control they could slam into a house and people could get hurt. Well, somebody did get hurt. It was the burglars," said Bruchey.

Deputies say they immediately pulled the two suspects out of the disabled Cadillac and called for emergency medical services.

According to PCSO, Timothy Allen Hogue, 37, of Apopka, was driving the Cadillac when it crashed and 31-year-old Rebecca Kozub of Ocoee, was in the passenger seat.

Detectives who interviewed Hogue after he was released from the hospital, say he admitted to the burglaries and that the crime was Kozub’s idea.

According to deputies, Hogue said that he fled because he, "just freaked out."

"Fleeing from a law enforcement traffic stop demonstrates very poor decision making, but to do it in a small, residential neighborhood at a high rate of speed is a terrible idea, and dangerous. It’s amazing and fortunate that nobody innocent was hurt or killed. They could have very easily crashed into a house. It should not come as a surprise that the driver has a tattoo on his neck that says, ‘All gas, no brakes’," stated Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

Hogue, who has a prior criminal history that consists of 31 felonies and 18 misdemeanors, is now faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance with enhancement of crossing county lines, felony petit theft, fleeing to elude, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 20g, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting without violence.

A judge set Hogue's bond at $11,500.

Deputies say charges are pending against Kozub, who suffered a broken leg in the crash and is still in the hospital. She has 19 prior felonies and 20 prior misdemeanors, according to PCSO.

Brown Friday: A busy day for plumbers

Why are plumbers so busy the day after Thanksgiving?

No, that’s not the entry line into a joke that a family member or friend may tell at the dinner table on Thursday.

Instead, the question references the big holiday meal preparations and kitchen cleanups that many times result in overloaded kitchen sinks, garbage disposals, toilets and sewer lines on Thanksgiving or the day after. The situation can create stress for host families and result in a load of calls to plumbers.

I'm absolutely certain this was a Surlyite.  Austin-bound plane, comments and actions perfectly align with this Board.

Excessively Farting Passenger Reportedly Causes American Airlines Flight to Turn Around

“We all breathed a sigh of relief when he was removed,” a witness to the gassy passenger wrote on Reddit
https://people.com/gassy-passenger-farted-removed-from-flight-airplane-8548108

  • An American Airlines passenger reportedly passed gas and loudly bragged about it on a recent flight from Phoenix to Austin.
  • A fellow flyer documented the smelly incident on an Austin Subreddit.
  • The plane was forced to return to the gate and the passenger was removed.

A flight was reportedly delayed after the plane ran into some unexpected flatulence: an excessively gassy passenger who had to be removed.

The Jan. 14 incident was documented by Texas-based reddit user lamgalatx, who wrote about the smelly situation on an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to Austin. American Airlines did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

“I was seated near the row where this situation occurred,” the passenger recalled in the r/Austin subreddit. While the airplane was still at the gate, the documentarian says they saw and heard an “audibly disgruntled” and “maybe hungover” man. He reportedly exclaimed, “You thought that was rude? Well how about this smell,“ and proceeded to loudly pass gas.

“[I don’t know] what provoked that comment, and while kinda funny to overhear, it was uncalled for especially coming from a grown man on an airplane nonetheless,” the user continued.

But the transgression didn’t end there.

“The man who just purposefully farted moments ago decides to loudly and condescendingly say ‘Yeah, everybody, let’s just eat the smelliest food possible all at the same time,’” the poster wrote, seemingly referring to a scent unrelated to his own actions.

In response, a man in the next row reportedly remarked, “If you don’t like it you can fly private,” to which the gassy passenger replied, “That’s so f---ing rude.”

Another passenger chimed in, “I think we’d all agree you’re the rude one here,’” the witness added.

The spat continues with the flatulent flyer responding, “That’s just so low class,” before another nearby passenger said, “Well you’re back here in economy with the rest of us.”

The scuffle caused the plane, which had left the gate and been moving toward the runway for takeoff, to stop and return to the gate, according to the redditor’s post.

The report does not mention Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, who served as the physician to the president from 2013 to 2018 under both Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Stat, which first reported on the OIG's new report, noted that Jackson had been accused of fostering a toxic work environment, engaging in alcohol-fueled misconduct, and misusing Ambien, specifically. OIG received those allegations during the first part of 2018, around the same time when the pharmacy complaints came in. And some of the allegations against Jackson were confirmed by a separate OIG investigation released in 2021.

What’s a ‘Diaper Spa,’ and why is it raising eyebrows in New Hampshire?

Quote

“People tend to fear anything that they fail to comprehend," said the owner of The Diaper Spa, a new business that's stoking local controversy.

A debate over a new spa is brewing in southern New Hampshire, where some residents in Atkinson are taking a stand against The Diaper Spa — a nursery-like business for adults who role play as children and, yes, wear diapers.

According to its website, The Diaper Spa is open to “all diaper-wearing individuals who seek acceptance, respite, and care.” Photos on the spa’s page show a space decorated with the soft comforts of a nursery, complete with toys, folded diapers, and an adult-sized crib.

Dr. Colleen Ann Murphy, the spa’s owner, offers a range of services that include virtual playdates at $200 an hour, as well as a $1,500 all-day “Diaper B&B” experience that promises rejuvenating pampering “for the little one inside of you.”

But for now, Murphy said, the vast majority of The Diaper Spa’s business involves telehealth services and life coaching. A recent Christmas-themed event featured a festive story, freshly baked sugar cookies, and a stocking to take home, she explained in an email interview.

A board-certified integrative medicine physician and sexologist, Murphy settled in Atkinson in 2022; the home-based spa was a recent addition.

Working in and out of high-stress hospital settings led to burnout and fatigue, and Murphy eventually began focusing on sex and relationship coaching with an emphasis on overlooked populations — including ABDL, or adult baby/diaper lovers.

“This led me to find a community of people who had varied needs to wear diapers, whether they were physical or emotional, such as vets wounded in combat with incontinence, people with progressive and congenital musculoskeletal conditions, and victims of trauma and abuse,” she explained. “The void of care was there, and I sought a meaningful way to fill it.”

What does adult baby/diaper lover mean?

Adult baby/diaper lovers are people “who act a voluntary regression to a previous age and/or wear a diaper for psychological reasons,” according to a 2020 article in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

The authors speculated that several physiological and psychological factors could cause ABDL fantasies, including continence issues, childhood abuse, and the premature loss of a parent.

“ABDL behaviours could have different functions, including sexual gratifications or strategies to cope with negative mood states,” they wrote.

Murphy emphasized that the ABDL community is vast, and her business focuses on a specific subgroup who “see this lifestyle as a physical or emotional necessity rather than just entertainment.”

Drawing comparisons between unhealthy coping mechanisms such as smoking, alcohol, and self-harm, she added: “For these individuals, being a part of this community brings comfort and solace, providing a haven from the stresses, traumas, and triggers they have faced in their history or that they face daily.”

And while sexuality plays a role in some ABDL cases, research published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2017 concluded that adult baby role playing in particular “is more likely to be an interpersonal, non-sexual behavior helping some individuals decrease attachment anxiety and negative mood states.”

For her part, Murphy was emphatic that none of her services have a sexual component.

“The most common misconception I hear about ABDL is that the community is composed of pedophiles, perverts, and sex offenders,” she said. “This is blatantly not true.”

What are neighbors saying?

Still, The Diaper Spa’s debut has stoked fear and concern among some residents of Atkinson, a town of about 7,000 people near the Massachusetts border.

Speaking to The Eagle-Tribune, which first reported on the controversy over The Diaper Spa, Kayla Gallagher expressed concern about the spa’s proximity to a local park and the possibility of run-ins with families.

“That is something that I will never be willing to expose my kids to, so now we will no longer be able to use that park,” the mother of three told the newspaper.

Gallagher doubled down on those concerns in a Jan. 28 Change.org petition, which calls on town leaders to reject any business and zoning licenses and applications for the spa. Murphy has submitted a home business application to the town’s zoning board.

“It has come to our attention that this business is advertised to individuals whose sexual fetish involves childlike behaviors,” Gallagher wrote in the petition, which had more than 260 signatures as of Tuesday morning. “This business, per their website, has advertised our town playground to their potential clientele. Thus their sexual fetish will involve the town park where our children play.”

She sounded the alarm about “potential incidents that pose a threat to the safety and well-being of our community members, particularly our children.”

Boston.com has reached out to Atkinson’s town administrator for comment on the petition. Murphy, meanwhile, stated that all spa services are offered exclusively on-site, and she’s since updated her website to make that clear.

“All clients are respectfully dressed in public, and besides this media attention, there is no reason that anyone would have thought that they were any different than any other neighbor or visitor from the outside,” she added.

Murphy also has several safeguards in place, only taking clients aged 21 and older, and barring cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, and weapons.

“These are standard safeguards for most businesses,” she explained. “In any business, you want to keep yourself, your clients, and your community safe. I take this responsibility very seriously.”

While the community’s outrage saddens her, Murphy expressed hope that her neighbors will come to learn more about what The Diaper Spa is — and, more importantly, what it isn’t

“People tend to fear anything that they fail to comprehend,” she said, adding, “However, I know that the people in this community are reasonable and intelligent, and I am optimistic that, with time, their concerns will dissipate, and we all will resume enjoying this beautiful life we are all so blessed to have here.”
