word we cant use our coeds/thots as a selling point either anymore its time to make it rain $$$ worse thing that can happen is a bowl ban

Uh, UT is doing just fine in that department. Not quite Ole Miss level, but that's what happens when the bar for admission is above "can you count to potato."

EJ after dark

— Texas running backs coach Stan Draytonwas not at IMG Academy (Fla.). In fact, Drayton made the trip to Louisiana to meet with the father of four-star running back Noah Cain. While things appear to be trending for Penn State in the race for Cain, Texas is still working on him. According to a source, Texas is still in the thick of things, and he’s not a lock to land at Penn State. So while we’ve been pessimistic, it seems Texas is ahead of Georgia for now. We should have more on Cain in the next 24 hours.

— Texas offensive coordinator Tim Beck did make his way to IMG Academy (Fla.) today to check in on Cain. UT head coach Tom Hermanalready made his in-home visit with Cain and therefore was not allowed to see him. Beck has been heavily involved in Cain’s recruitment and has been giving him a broader view of the offense and how exactly he would fit in on the Forty Acres.

— Herman did, of course, make an in-home visit with five-star IMG Academy (Fla.) running back Trey Sanders. From what I have been able to gather, the visit went extremely well. I have heard that Alabama is continuing to lose confidence in this recruitment. Right now, I feel like Georgia and Texas remain in good spots. The Longhorns have made this a tremendous group effort. Remember, Drayton and Beck met with Sanders last week, and Texas Director of Recruiting Bryan Carrington has had some productive FaceTime conversations with him as of late. Florida also remains in the picture and will receive his final OV this weekend.

— JUCO running back Rhamondre Stevensonpicked up an offer from USC yesterday, which will play a big role in his recruitment. Depending on how things in the early period shake out, Stevenson could become more of a priority for the Longhorns. He does have interest in Texas and is looking to make a visit at some point in January. Stevenson is also high on Oklahoma and Utah.

Someone explain to me what the fuck Drayton does. Ingram was coming to Texas no matter what, and he hasn't landed a single highly rated RB recruit. He obviously doesn't use the RB's in the game, which is why Ingram gets 10 carries a game, and we're stuck with a kid in Young who should be paying DIII ball. Porter, well, he is whst he is. It's mind boggling that we're completely inept st the running game.

Herman said he used Ingram sparingly due to how hard he was worked in HS. lotta games going to 2 state finals. his injuries this year kinda support that. rest him, give him a year in the strength and conditioning program and then lets see what we got.

or run him into  the ground as a freshman for little or no return and see where we end up.

That Roach is becoming a major pain in the ass.  Something needs to be done.

DKR quote on roaches....

(TCU) is like a bunch of cockroaches. It’s not what they eat and tote off, it’s what they fall into and mess up that hurts.”

Psst... Carter was also a highly rated recruit, and Ingram was also considering OU and aggy.

He also said Carter had the fumbles. A lot.

Now it’s Drayton call the plays?

Drayton and Herman converse as to who gets the ball, so yes it's on him and Herman.

Ingram was hurt multiple times, and by the end, Watson was actually more effective than he was running the ball, probably because Ingram needs a full offseason to gain the strength and conditioning necessary to hold up for a full CFB season. As I posted in October, the coaches were clearly trying to ease him in to becoming a feature back.
