I would love to see a side by side look of the second strike call on Hibbeler T1 and the 2-2 pitch to the Arkansas batter after we botched the play at first base. He didn’t give Neely anything.

LOL yep. I was just looking at that stretch of the game and I noticed the exact same fucking thing. Same damn pitch. One was a ball. One was a strike. The other thing he was doing was that he wouldn't show Neely how the pitching was missing. Pierce had to get all up in his ass before he would even give any indication at all. Complete fuckery.

Yeah after seeing several to left and left center from zubia and McCann get knocked down by the wind this season, it was disappointing that the wind decided to help a hog grand slam.

The other home run that inning may have gotten out at the polo grounds, however.  That one had a vapor trail. You may not have seen from the park, but it short hopped a truck parked on the far side of comal.

Yeah agree re: the wind fucking us all season so far, and yeah, that one was smoked. See also: Peter's bomb.

Hi, Lowell ...

LOL...he was finally right about something. I've been going to the Disch since before he was born, and seen a helluva lot of wind-aided dingers. But the real point here is, got-dammit, what happened to Steve?

Did LHN do the same opening as last nights? If not then they might have seen the ark tweet because in tonight’s opening it said something along the lines of “Arkansas was one pitch away from a world series but then it was gone”.

They are definitely top 10. We aren’t.

We would keep their bats quieter with our top 5 starters, and who knows in close games. But not with the end of bench pitching we are giving them.

Plus Texas still has a ways to go at the plate and won’t be able to keep up in high scoring games very often.

I think our mid week pitching and mentality has sucked all year, our weekend team seems to show up ready to play. Not sure how that will play out in a super regional or Omaha type tournament but we look like shit.

I think it's just a young pitcher mentality.  Some will grow into it.  Plus, we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel right now.

He probably could but he has been a catcher as far back as I can remember.  My son played select ball with him from about the age of 9.  Great kid.  Great family.

Good info.  I know it's hard to train at both but if DJ is coming back(not sure where he is on this), I'd at least try him out.  it would be good to have Zubia, Peter, and DJ in the lineup.

Van Horn goes everywhere for players.  39 on the roster and only 10 are from arkansas.  10 players from Texas.

Ark is too small of a state.  I would expect only about 25% from Ark.  heck the university is barely half arkansas based students.
