There are a whole lot of posters here who can’t grasp the concept, try as we might to explain it to them. I’ve seen a number who have learned, though, so we have to keep beating the drum. Ignore the trolls. Don’t feed them. You think you can’t let their bullshit go unchallenged. Yes you can. And should. By responding to them and quoting them you amplify them and reward them. You dignify them with your response and help them to achieve their goal of derailing thoughtful discussion. What you think your response is going to achieve is having the exact opposite effect. You’re not winning, they are. You’re getting trolled and it’s not a good look. And you’ve been falling for it FOR YEARS. Have you ever changed someone’s mind? Have you ever seen one of them say, “You’re right, I was wrong?” Of course not. Because they’re playing a different game. And you keep falling for it to the detriment of communal discourse.

Thinly sliced potatoes and onions tiled in a baker, topped with chopped tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper? Yes, please.

The only places I wear my big noise cancelling headphones are the gym (to drown out whatever music the front desk person picked out for the day or the grunts) and airplanes. Otherwise, my Airpods are fine for listening to music while on a walk with the dog or at the office.

Here's the entire article: Wednesday - Bobby Satya will be disappointed in the results from the starting OL group and CTJ is going to vomit in his mouth, yet again, at the final two sentences. -
The deep frying in oils certainly make it much worse than sliced potatoes that are baked in the oven. And I enjoy a side of fries every now and then. But the problem with fries is that a large chunk of the American consumer (1) eats these at a higher frequency than once or twice a month, and (2) eats these along with a main, like a loaded burger or greasy sandwich, that is just as bad if not worse than the fries (and hey, throw in a Coke while you're at it). I don't mean to declare a war on french fries. But they are an anchor for a lot of shitty diets in our country.

Disagree, it was the human characters that made Alien/Aliens so great. So far this doesn’t have that. I found the opening scene really derivative and off-putting. That is sacred material to me it shouldn’t be used just for member berries. It was always going to be very hard for this to live up to expectations for me. We’ll see how it goes from here.

I'm new at this, but based on that video posted above, by cold smoking initially you're aiming more smoke (and color) without rendering the fat. Once the fat is renders, it can form a barrier between the meat and the casing, making for a chewier, less snappy sausage. It seems like a lot of people will go ahead and cook them off (after shocking them in a cold water bath) to 150 or so after the cold smoke before vac-sealing them, but it's just a matter of preference if they've been cured.

Empty calories and shitty industrial manufactured oils… which one is bad for you? https://health.clevelandclinic.org/seed-oils-are-they-actually-toxic industrial manufactured ultra processed foods are bad for you, full stop. Industrial manufactured seed oil is part of that. But the idea that shitty French fries become okay if fried in magical fat is fucking stupid. occasionally we make hash browns with our breakfast tacos. Only ingredients ? Potatoes, avocado oil, modest amount of salt, pepper and fresh garlic. you know what else, when the only ingredient in your potatoes is potatoes and you don’t eat a bunch of other shit food, potatoes can actually be very good for you. our diets are so fucking out of whack, but hey, beef tallow is going to save us from that sugar bomb headed into our arteries from the fucked up sandwich, potato sticks and diet soda.

This is more for @Ag with kids, but one reason Bozo keeps picking on you is that you're a good representative of the kind of thinking that's confused the present, dysfunctional system as working for you. Millions of Texas Republican voters would be, for example, shocked to find out that their business friendly, low tax, low service state is taxing their household more than they would pay in blue or purple states.
