  1. Past hour
  2. Isn't there major moral hazard for all these companies to give Trump what he wants? All a president has to do is threaten them with tariffs and they'll give him financial contributions, political victories, and possibly, depending on who you ask, new investments in the U.S. What is the incentive for any future president to not make the same demands? As far as I can remember, Apple has never very publicly given a president a statue for keeping his nose out of their business.
  3. Framber is likely the only pitcher that has a lot of innings with Maldanado, so that is a FUCK NO. Offense is already a problem, pitching is not.
  4. God dammit I wasn't actually expecting my post to be on topic
  5. "Grandpa, how'd you make all your money?" "Consumer products."
  6. Not only that he's got directly family that played QB in the NFL fairly recently, where hating on a QB is absolutely worse than any college including Texas. That's a support system that almost no QB has ever had prior. Add that to a logical, methodic process which was clearly strongly supported by his family and it puts Arch in a fantastic place. Sark, his team, his friends outside the team, family and access to any mental health assistance he could possibly want is frankly a dream for a college QB. Arch is 100% aware, as are his family of the certainty, not possibility, but guaranteed slams in the media and select fans the first time he falters or takes even a minor mistake. Being mentally aware and prepared in advance by family who know exactly what it will feel like is an advantage that many of us can't even fully understand. How many people have a family member in a public position that can prep them for success and the aftermath of failure in their chosen fields. That did the exact same job. A few coaches and politicians is all I can come up with that have experienced that reality.
  7. Plenty on this board that live closer to town. People in Pearland, Katy, Pecan Grove, etc who would say they live in Houston. Nah man... you're in Katy or whatever, just like that guy in Leander saying he lives in Austin. Nope.
  8. ahh, i had forgotten that was happening with the booth folow-up, but i thought pitt was also involved in the movie critic one, but i just read qt shelved it. so who the fuck knows.
  9. Peter "Skaven" Hajba was a legendary musician and artist from the PC Demoscene from the equally legendary group Future Crew - if you ever played Unreal, Unreal Tournament, or Bejeweled, you've heard his stuff. In the early 90s he went to learn animation at Disney's academy or whatever in the UK. So early on, Skaven DM's me on irc (it's like the early 90's version of Discord, Teams, or Slack) with "Hey, wanna see something weird that my coworker made?" If someone with more Internet exposure than you ever asks you that, always say, "No." Because what he was showing me was my first exposure to furry porn. So anyway, fuck that guy.
  10. okay let's talk protein intake.... I'm now in my 6th month of routine HIIT and resistance training. I'm well off the floor and now adding weight. close to leg press my full body weight, I've doubled my single arm row lifts, my curls and triceps extensions are double at least, etc. etc. I want to stay lean, more definition that pushes the age markers like minor dimpling and sagging on my thighs and upper arms back as muscle tone shows, modest muscle growth, mostly just a toned, fit, tennis player look. I'm well on my way and seems like I'm probably 6 months from hitting my goals (giving 2x a week for actual weight training 12 months to materialize). so with that, protein intake... I think I'm way under but wanted a double check. googles and chatgpt suggests on work out days 160g of protein. that's crazy to me. I think a normal day I'm under 100g and workouts I've only recently gotten to 100g. what do you guys do?
  11. Regarding LSU: 1) Nussmeier did incur a knee injury at practice yesterday. Initially, reporters were lied to and then did their own lying, claiming nothing was wrong. Since, the answer has become "it's nothing serious". Chris Hummer reported that to Geaux247 earlier today. That's then followed with "he is likely to miss some practices to rest up", which sounds like it's not nothin'. 2) The front 7 has been blowing up play after play during media time. The OL looks so bad that one of the homers has published a story (spoilered below) claiming that some of it is learning curve with 4 new starters, 2 positions of which (RG & LG) the starters still are not known, but a lot of is LSU's newly dominant DL. Right. Nothing to see here, folks. Clemson doesn't have a very good DL for the opener, so LSU should be a-okay. 3) LSU has lost 5 straight openers, several in bizarre fashion including last year's loss to USC. They're about to lose a 6th straight with a shit OL and a gimpy QB.
  12. I might be in a minority but I really don't like Seth Rollins work. Him cashing in with the fake injury was lazy writing. However, I am a big fan of LA Knight. His promo ability is the best in the WWE right now, which is why is completely over with the fans. I knew he was never getting the strap off of Rollins on Monday and the DQ caused by punk was more lazy writing. Rollins new faction reminds me of Evolution with 3H, Bautista, Orton, and Flair. So, the least surprising upccoming storyline is when Rollins turns on Bron for challenging his title.
  13. Won't anyone think of the whales?
  14. Do you teach your daughters to be so arrogantly certain in their moral judgment about complete strangers and likewise act high and mighty while riding that straw horse? Then you are doing a poor job raising your children. Your provincial prudism is not universal and virtually non-existent on the world wide web. Thus, many parents have spoken to their pre-teen children about sex and sex toys as a preventative and proper way to combat the world of sleaze that pre-dates us all. Odds are your 15 year old has certainly seen a dildo online or in person. I'll also reckon that both of them will have had sex before they leave your home. You don't know me, so keep my personal life out of your fucking mouth (Fresh Prince). You brought your kids into this conversation, nobody else did. You fucked around on a Surly thread and now want to act superior when you are just as much as a dumb and smug asshole as the rest of us. Again, raise your children to be adults that don't overreact to nothingburgers and we'll all get along fine.
  15. Yep, he has the whole Manning apparatus to fall back on when he needs help. I love this kid because he has the right support system. Just call up Uncle Eli or Uncle Peyton when you need advice.
  16. Oh yeah. For two reasons 1) Trump will endorse Hunt if he gets in and Cornyn drops out and 2) Even MAGA understands that Ken Paxton could possibly lose in a mid-term senate race.
  17. This is something that Goebbels would be proud of. I read about the hype. I don't feel the hype. I see a talented kid with a a great opportunity. I am excited to see what Sark can do with him leading the team. I am not setting expectations before I see this team roll out there for a couple of games.
  18. nnm

    Bidet Meta Threas

That doesn’t look portable in any sense of the word.
  19. Oddly specific.
  20. Is it a big coincidence or a small coincidence?
  21. I can certainly think of one group of people that you shouldn't admit this to: Us.
  22. I think we should rename the cloak room Libelous Hyperbole Freak Off Forum
  23. Road rivalry game is never easy. Especially if they aren't that good, their entire season will be about beating us
