Yeah, I have a soft spot for Guero's. I lived within short walking distance when they moved to that spot, and we had been going to the Oltorf location for years before that. I suppose it's gone downhill, I haven't eaten there much in years, but it's still a cool location and building with a lot of history for me. Tell me their margs are still good?

Almost came home from vacation with a new acoustic. Just got back from visiting my wife's best friend in Colorado. Her dad passed about a month ago and one of the things she brought back from his house was a very good condition 1998 Taylor 710-CE (similar one pictured below). I played it a bunch while there and asked what she was planning to do with it. She didn't know yet or have any idea what it was worth. I showed her the make and model number on the tag inside the body and sent her a bunch of links to what they sell for in stores. Followed up with what I considered a very fair offer, which was significantly higher than 2 lowball offers she'd already received. She's gonna take some time to think about it, but she told my wife she'll probably end up selling it to me. Fingers crossed.

Even though it's blatantly unconstitutional, I'll say it's much more likely he'll be on the ballot in '28 than in the ballet. -
I watched Empire Strikes Back as a kid, and could have sworn that when Luke jumped off the platform, Darth Vader used the force to lift him back onto the platform, but let him go when Luke jumped again. I was 5 at the time, so I did not knowingly smoking dope or drop acid. Weird.

The way I remember it, both Leach and Briles had Texas ranked lower than everyone else, outside of the top 5; it ensured that OU was ahead of Texas and the coaches poll impacted the BCS standings or whatever the tiebreaker was. I think Briles had Texas like #7 or something stupid. I assumed the reason was because he believed that Texas winning another title was not good for his program. -

I'm in this industry and know it very well. This up there. The tariffs really haven't hit yet for a long list of reasons. They're starting now and it'll take a quarter or two for them to show up on the shelf for a long list of reasons. Wall Street to me know is like after Bear went bust in 2008. They thought it was no big deal. Trump basically laid down a +15% tax on everything and they don't realize it's a big deal.

Affirmed in all other respects, though. Told y'all that monetary part was likely excessive. On appeal, it seems that the monetary award is characterized as "disgorgement," which means coughing up all ill-gotten gains, that is, all of the loan proceeds that were tainted by fraud. I didn't catch that that was the nature of the remedy at the trial level. It is unclear to me whether the disgorgement can be recalculated on retrial or not. Its nature is usually "equitable," meaning entirely in the judge's discretion and not subject to a burden of proof, so that would seem to tend to mean that the judge is free to halve it or quarter it or otherwise reduce it.

Then the requested media blackout has begun. They don't want the 75 yard TD catch on first play of game to feel too obvious. -
