While that seems to work for him…whew.  I couldn’t imagine.  But I’m team #AAAclaro. All mine ride in case until it’s go time. But I’m OCD about it.  If it’s free floated you should be able to get a wipe/cloth between the barrel and foreend. I’ve used vehicle detailing brushes and high end paint brushes to get dust from other areas.

We can get them pretty clean with an air compressor, but don't use it on the action, but it is tedious. An hour or so per gun. I'm thinking about getting a touch up spray gun with a stainless bowl. Even with brushes, it never gets them completely clean. We shoot hogs and coyotes from the road, so you have to be able to get to your weapon quick, which means they are kept in the open. When deer season gets here, I may keep it in the case and leave another gun in the quick draw rack.

Maybe a sock on it that can be jerked off (phrasing) in a moments notice?   Maybe one of those external mounted scabbards but leave end off.  Hell I don’t know. Out of my sop there.

Just bag it in an umbrella bag or something and leave holes for the trigger, bolt, scope ends, etc. Wrap tape around areas like where the scope is so it stays put.

Or one of those folding chair bags that might fit better over a bunch of attached optics.

I got one of these a couple years ago from Solo Hunter for dust/rain/snow that helps

Ordered a new Weatherby Accumark Pro in 300 Weatherby today, and a Sig Sierra 6 5-30 scope to mount on it. Going will Talley ring bases. I have the Sig rangefinding binos and another bdx scope and I’ve enjoyed it so far, so this will be interesting. Hopefully everything will be delivered next week and I’ll report further.

I hope you love it so much you can’t find any reason for your other one. Nice rig. Curious about the Sig optics, and would love to hear real world how you like it, specifically the glass.

Thanks, will let you know on my other rig. I will try to do some low light testing between the Swarovski I have on my other rig and this Sig glass.

Long range beauty right there.  I love those horus (ballistic) reticles.  Once you get your dope, they are money.

I love all of my various Weatherby mags.  About to pull the trigger on a Weatherby 338 Lapua.  I just want one.   No really good reason.

It’s kind of like the line from Nicholson in The Departed.

I haven't "needed the money" since I took Archie's milk money in the third grade. Tell you the truth, I don't need pussy any more either...but I like it.

Anyone interested in a Canik TP9SC elite?

I bought one and the red dot is more annoying to me than I though. I went to the range with it once so 50 rounds through it.

I think the color is tungsten.

I have the other mag (12 rd) and the pieces you see here including the flush mount for the mag and the piece on the slide to replace the red dot. Not pictured is the plastic Holster that came with it.

No, I do not own a P365.
I just posted it as a psa.

Thanks for the PSA.  You should really try the P365.  I read the reviews and tried one out.  It instantly became my carry weapon.  Soon as my kids all got LTCs, each of them got one as well.

50 rounds and you’ve given up on a handgun red dot?

The subtle shakes in my grip are more obvious when looking at a red dot. I find it nauseating. I’d switch the red dot out for the replacement plate but it’d be my 5th subcompact. Which if it doesn’t sell it’s not that big of a deal.

Picked up my new Weatherby and Sig Sierra 6 last night. I’ll post better pics and a review at some point in another week or so, but I needed to post a photo now to try and get my priapism to subside.

Ammo starting to come back in. Academy has been pretty good lately and bass pro in round rock was well stocked.

9mm is still tough, mainly because that’s what everyone wants. So it goes first. And fast.

I snagged some 223 and 6.5c this weekend. I passed on some 9mm because I didn’t need SD rounds. I also found 400 rounds of 9mm that I had forgotten about.

On another note……I’m really looking at trading my hellcat for a P10s. I’m a huge CZ fan and the p10s is such a fantastic feeling gun. It’s not a 365/hellcat competitor really……it’s too big for that. But I really like it.

Anyone have one?

Got lucky today - 4 boxes of 9mm @ Academy on Brodie (Austin).

They also had .223 & .556 on hand, but I don't shoot those caliber.

Bought my daily store limit.a108c8ee6bf4382f937097d6c382ca8f.jpgaff2d82d1b0ea70dcc38e8b71c9da6a6.jpgca490ac800d811388c3c8637a5b2aae6.jpg

Stopped by that Academy just now via your scouting report, and, JFC!  That 9mm you show is a 20 round box for $22.  Good thing it's a defensive round, need to protect the expensive ammo.

I need beer can plinking 9mm.
