  3. Just a fellow Tiger here throwing my two cents. We have historically leaned to hard on an excellent RB committee. It's why us fans have been so irritated with the old fashioned offenses. Joe Burrow has had low passing touchdowns because we run the ball on the goal line every damn time thus having more rushing touchdowns than the average team. We lost the Florida game two years ago because we did the same thing we do always do and got stuffed on the goal line trying to run the ball. OP states we dont have good running backs and I laughed. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Lanard Fournette are both good APB's. John Emery Jr. is an elite back and if you dont believe me, look at his film. Youre not going to tackle him with one guy because he can make you miss. He runs very similar to Derrius Guice. Ty Davis Price runs very hard. We just have alot of options that are hard to choose from and will be used in different packages. The new offense allows Burrow to choose what he wants to do on the play whether that's pass the ball, run the ball, or checkdown to running backs. Previously we ran QB runs and that's just too one dimensional. It helps a ton that this is a similar offense to the offense he ran at Ohio State which clearly gives yall a leg up. Keep in mind too, Burrow stepped foot on campus two months before the season last year and we have all of our receivers returning this year. They have had alot more reps now and it will be different. Oline is just not that great. That's why our new offense over compensates for this to get the ball out of Burrow's hands faster. Open field tackling from your OLB's will be a big deciding factor in our success. As far as our defense goes, this is the best defensive group I've seen from LSU in a while. We have so many talented safetys, LB's, and CB's that the packages we can run are endless. Last year K'Lavon Chaisson tore his ACL causing us to implement exotic blitz packages every play. Having him hack is a game changer. He's in the backfield every play at DE and can drop back into coverage at OLB. I know beating Georgia Southern means just about nothing to anyone but what it does show is that Burrow barely played one half of a game last week and the score was 42-3 at half. We didnt do that in one game last season and only beat an FCS team last year 31-0. It's going to be a great game this year and I think we're all excited for this matchup. If anyone wants to come stop my tailgate next year at LSU for some gumbo and beers, let me know. Competition is always great but southern hospitality comes before anything else, and yall are guests so we want yall to have the best experience possible next year for our neighbors. It's what differentiates us from other areas of the country is the best football, good food, and great people.

  4. I don't know if they are smarter or dumber than your average coal miner, or average person, but I think there are two aspects which make them gullible. 1.) Rural America is dying, or at least is being left behind. Population decline is a killer on housing property values in small towns. It is also a killer on what they see as hope for the future, as generations leave. When you look at the conservative vs. progressive divide to be the difference of preferring the past or the future, there is reason for them to view the past with more fondness. 2.) Rural America is delusional. They believe that America's troubles are caused by the problems of the city. It's all those slums on welfare which are the problem. It's all that crime in the cities which are causing the problems. They just want the government to leave them alone. The completely miss the fact that for decades the government has seen some value in "saving the family farm." They are getting burned by the trade war, in part because our trade policy has centered around them. We have been willing to get "ripped off" on tech and manufacturing, because we wanted other countries to buy our ag products. I'm pretty much to the fuck-em mode. For years, I believed there was a value in the government smoothing the transitions brought on by economic evolution. It's a moderately liberal position. And make no mistake, big corporate farms are more efficient (economics-wise) than the family farm. The family farm will get squeezed out by market forces. For years I supported pushing back on that eventuality, to minimize the impact of sudden change. Now I'm I thinking fuck em. Free market time, bitches. Trade wars? Fuck em. They voted for people who campaigned on upsetting a system which was slanted to their advantage. I'll be fine. Foreclosures? Fuck 'em. They voted for people who have systematically tilted the balance to lenders. Ethanol mandates? Fuck 'em. They have convinced themselves global warming doesn't exist. And why? Because they are more worried about whether they hear Spanish at Walmart or whether two guys marry than they are about saving the family farm. So fuck em. I'll be fine.

  7. Back in June, my doctor told me I needed to completely change my diet and start exercising because I was very very boarderline diabetic. He suggested I try Keto, not for weight loss, but to improve my blood sugar. We agreed that going until my birthday, September 7th, would be a good trial for a Keto diet. I took to it earnestly, trying my hardest on the diet, with no expectations for how much weight to lose. Maybe, if I was lucky, I could lose 20 lbs overall. If I'd done that, I would be ecstatic. I took up running and yoga. Every day, rain or shine, run 2 miles with my dog plus walk another 3. Cut out all sugars in my diet (obviously) and haven't cheated. I got a nintendo Wii fit to help me track my weight loss, it comes with a digital scale that doubles as a work out board and also a pedometer that can measure things like air pressure, temperature, etc in the calculations. Because of the work out board, Wii Fit started telling me that my balance was very off, I leaned 15% to the left, and that poor balance would inhibit working out correctly and thus slow weight loss, so it would have me do these daily yoga routines to strengthen my core. It's been almost 3 months to the day now. Saturday is my birthday. I lost 50 lbs. I went from 230 lbs, to 179 lbs in 3 months. 50 fucking pounds in 3 months. I hit the so-called Keto plateau about a month in, which is when I started really running hard to try and break through, and just kept on losing. I've eaten so many chicken wings, and crock pot chili, and broccoli that I don't think I can look at that stuff again for a long while. But I lost weight. I noticed a bunch of huge changes in my life: - My Sleep Apnea is cured. I no longer snore. - My Doctor says I'm no longer at risk for diabetes, I have "cured" myself and my body has "healed" itself - I can fit into clothes from highschool again - I no longer get heartburn (I used to have chronic heartburn) - I am way, way more alert and sleep better (likely because of the sleep apnea) On top of all that, on monday, when I did my body test, it reported that I was 0.2% off center in my balance. I do my body test every day at about 8 pm after running, so I was hoping that today would be the day I fixed my balance issues, and sure enough: When I checked my Wii today, because I had hit my goal, it played this little animation. When you weigh yourself, you have to hold this tablet in your hands in a yoga position, and doing so lets it take a picture of your face. It does so every day. So, to celebrate reaching this milestone, it played back all my pics from the last 3 months in rapid fire so I could actually see my face slim down. It got very dusty in the room. I wanted this so badly. I went in with low expectations of weight loss to shield myself from failure, and blew my damn expectations out of the water. I'm still not done, I want to lose another 15 or so lbs, at which point I'll be the perfect weight for my age and height. But right now... this feels very, very good. I haven't felt this good about myself in a LONG time. Going to Austin this saturday to watch Texas beat LSU. Then I'm gonna hit the bars for the first time in a very long time with confidence. 3 months changed my life.

  17. I'm required to have insurance if I drive a borrowed car. Depending on the state, or my coverage, I might have to contact my insurance company and amend my insurance on the spot before pulling away. But that's alright, you've already started down the patented NRA "This miniscule aspect of your broader point is not perfectly aligned, so your entire argument is invalid" path. Other popular versions include "You've misidentified the model of this AR-15" and "You used the wrong caliber when talking about this mass shooting" and "Assault rifles aren't a thing." Just go ahead and finish the journey.

  18. It's weird in that aspect too from what I've seen. I know a lot of LSU fans I've been around think LSU wins by around 10. But on the SEC Rant and fans of other SEC teams basically want to put LSU in a no win situation. They look at it like Texas is an average team coming in with a lot of hype. A lot of the comments on there are about Aggys playing a real challenge in Clemson (well...duh) and LSU should dominate. If they dont or lose than LSU was trash anyway. I think theres a very real chance that if both teams are legit, they could meet again later this season. I think it would have to be LSU winning this one for it to happen because I don't think LSU can easily bounce back against Alabama if they lose on Saturday. Regardless what happens I hope Texas dominates every game they play after Saturday. I'm excited to see what the defense really looks like this season playing a legit offense.

  20. Jesus shit fucking flaming dicks none of y'all are right. Hottest game at Memorial stadium? The one on September 1, 1974. 80,000 Longhorn fans Bad Company Joe Cocker who puked off the stage it was so hot. Santanna Z Z Top And four hundred n' ninety-seven n' a half miles o' 'rope'. One of my roomates was supposed to bring our 'rope'. Well he stuffed it in his boot and lost it. He is a lawyer now. Matters not there was PLENTY of 'rope'. No barn no dance no bbq no water no shade no clouds except the clouds from all the burnin 'rope'. 'rope' smoke. It trailed out north of the stadium. People in Georgetown got contact highs. This is the crew that sprayed the crowd down to cool us off. Thanks guys! These two pics have nothing to do with any of this, I just like em. 10+ fucking hours of blast furnace heat, no water, smoking burning 'rope' as it came by constantly, toke it and pass it on down killer music, cocker was drunk on his ass. Blast furnace heat and folks made pyramids to entertain themselves between sets. Good shit! Hook 'em! And now... For your viewing pleasure! MARY POPPINS CAMELTOE!!

  22. A few things to note: -Hullaby is an OLB on the board for Texas. -Deference to the situation with the ailing parent is why Jordan hasn't publicly said anything. It's his choice whenever he decides to do so. -Restating that the visit to Norman this weekend is interesting with Collins. If he takes the trip, it could drag on for a while. If he doesn't, it's plausible that he shuts it all down. -I will be interested to see if Foster, JSN, White, and McLellan make a visit this weekend. -Fuonji is visiting, I believe. Is that public? He's got some senior footage now posted and he might be climbing up in interest for the staff.

  25. damn. 2x all-pro and 6x pro bowler, driving a limo in shithole east texas at almost 70 years old... those old bastards built the league up from nothing and were paid very little for it. I wish they’d cut the salary cap in half and allocate half of the player revenue to bigger pensions for former players and lifetime health insurance for these aging veterans. of course the players’ association would never allow it because these young cunts nowadays are just greedy ungrateful fucking pieces of shit.

  26. As someone who actually follows the storms to the point of it being a hobby, I can PROMISE you, at no point, ever, at all, did anyone ever say that the cone (which didn't include Alabama) had a 95% chance of accuracy. That's so patently wrong, that I can't even imagine someone else feeding the lie to him, it had to be something he just flat out made up on the spot.

  27. Dear Sir, It has come to the attention of my much esteemed client, Mr. @Vic Mackey, that you are improperly asserting a trademark to the term "fatball". That specific term is dangerously close to my esteemed clients term of "Fatballing", which is currently pending registration at the US Patent and Trademark Office. SInce both terms obviously involve slamming against large, stupid sweaty bodies repeatedly whether one or in multiples, the two terms could be confused in mutual commerce. Therefore I demand that you cease and desist using the "TM" with your so-called term "Fatball". The real term "Fatballing" refers to my clients brilliant strategy of targeting overweight or obese women, specifically for consummation. This practice can be undertaken as an individual or group activity, and often includes excessive alcohol consumption, emotional detachment, and degradation of the woman. Unlike "hogging", "sweat-hogging" or "whale watching", with "Fatballing" sexual intercourse, and hopefully other deviant sexual activities are the end goal. Please contact me should you have concerns with this matter. Yours truly, Judge Roy Bean(bag), Esquire
