  1. Thanks for the thoughts. The original HWH team getting the original IP out into the open and getting the longform IRS approval were instrumental in all of this. That's @SquishMitten @RGBIII @SydneyCarton @immamac @GlenFromTheMailRoom and a few others not on this board, but instrumental and/or fundamental. One of our more famous recruiting related alums should have a fucking statue erected in his honor outside of the stadium at the end of this. One of our buddies and a former UT QB walk-on was also critical in the development of this. RGBIII and the other HWH members have been selfless in navigating the handing off of the entity to the bigger group. Credit to those other groups for handling things in the same way. There are going to be some really important things on a sport by sport basis flashing soon.

  2. The fact that Brauinger and Liucci do not think NIL is the overwhelmingly #1 issue in recruiting is proof of the point I've been passing on to the board here about ATM not taking NIL seriously. They really do not want to engage in legitimate NIL effort and they do not understand that they're rapidly becoming the last guy selling buggy whips. It's awesome. It's part of their psychological insecurities. If Fisher, the staff, the $$ and the $9.95ers admitted that they needed to embrace NIL and showcase it, they'd have to turn their backs on the money laundering operation they've painstakingly put together over the last 4 cycles. Whoopsie! The other factor at play here is that joining the NIL fray means they'd have to expose their flank about the 2022 and just how that "NIL" actually worked. We could not be looking at a better moment in time for UT relative to ATM. If Seven Win Steve can close out this season in a big way, ATM has never been weaker. Texas has a strong NIL program turning into a well-oiled machine. ATM has nothing on the NIL front. Texas is winning. ATM is falling apart and they can't do a fucking thing about their head coach. Let's fucking go.

  3. Outside of unifying all initiatives under one umbrella, which wasn't a small feat for the parties involved, there are two really big things here: 1) All players in all sports will be making money at Texas, and in non-trivial amounts. That doesn't even include corporate sponsoring efforts. The goal is to create a competitive advantage for every sport against its own landscape. This will outpace South Carolina for WBB, set the bar in FB, compete with LSU in baseball, etc. 2) The LHF is going to play a critical role in driving the fund growth, starting now. The athletic department and CDC are fully behind this and they understand that if you aren't the best in NIL, you aren't winning. The colleges sports world has changed. The original goal of creating something best in class to run alongside the LHF is now fully in bloom. Absolutely.

  4. Yup, thats why we unified. So Texas can point to one organization alone. We just added the might of the Texas AD, compliance and most importantly the LHF

  5. I was coming here to post something similar, but without the imagery akin to sticking a baby in a blender. In many ways the end result was because of something that started with folks on this board just deciding to dive in and work without waiting for anyone to tell us we couldn't or shouldn't. Personally, I'm proud of that.

  6. Kari Lake is jacked up like a monkey in a flowery print dress on Mountain Dew and is gonna jump on Ron DeSantis' back and claw at his squinting eyes, while he, unable to reach her with his vestigial arms, will have to fight back by running backwards into walls.

  7. A friend is a missionary and learned a Ukrainian friend and her kids moved out to Texas while her husband stayed back to assist with the effort. He reached out to us because he knew nobody else in our little corner of Texas. We were able to bring warm close for the kiddos, fresh cookies, and some other needed items. We got to deliver those items today. Small child proudly told me she was Ukrainian and her daddy was a hero. Mom spoke good enough English for us to get by on communications. My heart melted for these kids stuck in an apartment in Texas, the wife is so young, her husband defending their country. We have a generous friend who paid 6 months of their rent in a passing conversation about these people we had never met. Glory to Ukraine.

  9. Over the summer a dove made a nest behind the TV on the back porch. I left them alone for a while. One day I was fed up so start taking down the nest. One was still in the nest that I didn't see before I started. Wife's standing there watching. Dove shoots out of the nest and goes ass-over-teakettle right into the ceiling fan that is on high. It was like one of those confetti cannons of feathers that hit the wife straight on. She's screaming. She has feathers in her hair. Her mouth. I'm laughing so hard I'm choking and coughing. Dog immediately grabs the bird and bolts for the side yard. It was glorious. Damn sky rats

  16. You do realize that Herman signed 27 and 26 players in his first two full classes, right? We signed 28 last year and will likely be right around that number again this year. Herman could have easily attacked LB and edge play in those recruiting classes. Instead he chose to sign 1 HS LB in 2018 the year after we had signed ZERO.

  18. Thanks y'all for the great work you put in. I've been impressed by the foresight every step of the way. Timing has been impeccable First crowdsourced NIL deal for a position group First 501c3 for a position of need, announced right before signing day Other Texas collectives form in time for the portal and baseball season And now that sustainable operations and cooperation with the AD are more important than the public splash, all collectives merge I think the casual fan might be underwhelmed or disappointed that there's no specific mission or $ amount, but this is a big deal. No need to continue giving other schools a target and blueprint. By the way, there's a legitimate case to be made that we're .500 or below and our future is dark without HWH. If Banks doesn't come, we lose our best OL this year and have Karic or Jones at LT. Not only does that degrade the starting OL, it also takes away the jumbo package with Karic at TE that has been so successful this year. And without this OL class, how does our pitch to Arch, Johntay, Baxter, etc. change? It certainly makes our prospects for next season when we lose Bijan and Ro much worse. Sark needs to host y'all for an OV weekend visit to his house and VY steakhouse or something. Also, you know the aggy tears have been flowing when LHF makes you think LonghornFrenzy first.

  19. Pretty crazy how this has developed from a bunch of dudes watching @Wulaw Horn mix his salsa and queso together like some form of deranged monster, to the creation of what should be the largest NIL collective in the landscape

  24. i really don't understand how you guys can keep discussing this as if there is a chance that a democrat could possibly win statewide office in the current conditions...regardless of candidate charisma, pandering, etc... you need to travel outside of austin. texas is a lost state. it isn't just the east, west, and north texas rural areas. it's the suburbs. it's cypress, it's the woodlands, it's plano and southlake it's waco and georgetown. it's aggy. the lufkins, longviews, tylers, abilenes, of the state are just gravy. the manifestation of jesus christ, abraham lincoln, george washington, nelson mandela, ghandi, and caeser all in one person would get absolutely obliterated by ted cruz, greg abbot, and dan patrick in a statewide race. ironically, by people voting against their own diabetic, scooter riding interests. this state is irredeemable in terms of numbers. one of the great ironies that i do find amusing about this state is that the two of the very few blue counties (travis and dallas) are responsible for contributing all of the socialist robinhood funds that every other red county across the state relies on to fund their local education. austin isd, eanes isd, highland park, and plano is where almost all the money comes from. "DON'T BE VOTIN' FOR NO SOCIALISTS, TEXAS! now give us all your money austin and dallas."

  28. When Bobby bought the Judge Bean's BBQ restaurant in Brentwood, TN, the original owner (Aubrey Bean) was hesitant to sell to a Texan. Bobby assured him that he would decorate it to honor the REAL UT. Deal was closed in 2011 and Bobby was true to his word. 29. Here: BobbyBurton Well-known member Staff member 17 minutes ago Add bookmark #1 It’s time for Texas - all of Texas - to marshall its “collective efforts. Later today, the folks who created the Pancake Factory, Clark Field Collective, Occupy Left Field and others will join together to launch The Texas One Fund. The Texas One Fund brings together disparate groups across all sports into a single, unifying force. The Texas One Fund will focus on NIL initiatives for UT players in return for charitable contributions to the community. Whether it’s visiting a Children’s hospital, refurbishing school libraries in disadvantaged areas or visiting youth at elementary schools, Longhorns players will be more involved in the community than ever before. ** Lots of folks are probably tired of hearing about “new” NIL initiatives. Well, this one is different, especially for Texas. And I’d encourage everyone’s participation in it. Every little bit helps and that’s why there are plans for small and large donations alike. Furthermore, all of the aforementioned groups are committed to working together as a charity. That means all donations are tax deductible. ** https://www.texasonefund.org/contribute-now/
