Donald Trump 2018

I want to be clear that I'm not advocating this in any way, regardless of how I feel about the jackass.
But...
Is anyone else thinking it's becoming increasingly likely that Trump is going to get shot?

I think it’s even less likely. Because he’s just not worth it.

There’s nothing on this earth sexier, believe me gentlemen, than a woman you have to salute in the morning. Promote ‘em all, I say, ‘cause this is true. If you haven’t gotten a blow job from a superior officer, well, you’re just letting the best in life pass you by...

We KNOW that they're Army. It's been widely reported, And the C in C most certainly fucking knows, but he doesn't give a flying fuck because he's a draft-dodging piece of shit, and doesn't have the decency to describe them properly.

And I don't get the "to be fair" part.  "Servicemen" doesn't make a distinction to their branch.

Oops, I misread your post.  I didn't pay that close attention to his Tweet and was trying to be sarcastic because I thought you were saying Trump called them soldiers.

Yep. He really is too fucking stupid to be an effective authoritarian.  World leaders are largely ignoring or trolling him. Our military leaders think he is a joke. Even Pruitts shit only means something if companies are stupid enough to lower their own standards knowing the hammer will come down in 2020.  But hell, even Exxon and the rest of Big Oil are on the climate change train. The real damage is to the office itself. Folks are learning that the office is easy to bypass. Its almost a guarantee that the next Pres, either Dem or GOP, will come in on day 1 with backroom deals already ready to go and in some cases with US industry already in compliance.  You can see this already with GDPR. Strongest law wins for multinationals.

We will also probably validate the NK regime in return for nothing, but that's probably fine. Economic opening always works better even if you hate to give a shitstain dictator a dime.  Nearly all of world communism fell or reformed except the one country we embargoed. That Moscow McDs worked.

What Happens When a Bad-Tempered, Distractible Doofus Runs an Empire?

Quote

One of the few things that Kaiser Wilhelm II, who ruled Germany from 1888 to 1918, had a talent for was causing outrage. A particular specialty was insulting other monarchs. He called the diminutive King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy “the dwarf” in front of the king’s own entourage. He called Prince (later Tsar) Ferdinand, of Bulgaria, “Fernando naso,” on account of his beaky nose, and spread rumors that he was a hermaphrodite.

Quote

The real lesson of Kaiser Wilhelm II, however, may be that Trump’s leaving office might not be the end of the problems he may bring on or exacerbate—it may be only the beginning.

But Giuliani’s comments went beyond ......

“I respect all human beings. I even have to respect, you know, criminals”. “But I’m sorry, I don’t respect a porn star the way I respect a career woman, or a woman of substance, or a woman who has great respect for herself as a woman, and as a person. And isn’t going to sell her body for sexual exploitation. “She has no reputation. If you’re going to sell your body for money, you just don’t have a reputation.”

So now they are going after Melania...  sad!

When was the last time he visited a school?

Also, stoking his concern of that is probably the most likely path to gun reform.

Latest scuttlebutt surrounds his directive to the EPA to relax asbestos regulations, which is something he's been banging on for at least 2 decades.  I'll send a slightly stale donut to the first person who correctly guesses where 55% of world's asbestos materials are mined.

PHRASING

Trump: You are going to have to give up your nuclear weapons, stop abusing your people, and stop supplying weapons to bad people.

Lil Kim: I am keeping my nuclear weapons, I’m going to send weapons to ISIS for free, you have insulted me so I’m going to have 1,000 people killed in your name by drowning them, and you must give me $1 billion to cover the costs.

Trump: You know, that’s a fair deal, I know you are fighting starvation in your country and getting rid of a 1,000 people could help.  Now people know why I’m such a great negotiator.

I just can't believe the president of the USA sends out Tweets like this without knowing how to spell the name of the country he's talking about.  If you can't spell it, fucking ask someone before sending that shit out.  Goddamn I hate this guy.

I’m guessing most of the regs that Donnie John has come against regarding asbestos has been from OSHA, not the EPA. Not that he knows the difference. (There are some regs in both, so I could be wrong.) Also, I doubt much of the issues are with regard to new asbestos products, but rather remediation of existing ones.

U.S. President Donald Trump showed up late to this morning's working breakfast on empowering women. Justin Trudeau had completed his opening remarks, and the co-chair of the meeting was in the middle of her remarks when Trump arrived. http://www.cbc.ca/1.4699374  #hw #cdnpoli

Is that good or bad?

You know, you can find Senate subcommittee hearings on topics like that.  Guess how many of, say, 21 Senators on the committee will be there?

If they come at all they give a speech and leave.  On or two are designated to do their turn in the barrel and conduct the meeting.  You will not see 21 Senators in rapt attention.

Anyone want to take bets on attendance this coming Wednesday on "Confronting Sexual Harassment and Other Workplace Misconduct in the Federal Judiciary"?

Jesus Tahoe, this isn’t the Senate. The exchange of information is irrelevant. The only way you can conclude it is good is if you think diplomacy is bad. Which explains why it doesn’t matter to Trump.

The meeting is not diplomacy.  Diplomacy on an issue like this is conducted four levels down, out of public view.  This is show.

This is what it is when dealing with Trumpers.  Either you bend over to make a nonsensical unequal excuse for him, or you set the bar so close to the floor that if he literally doesn't fall on his face you declare a win.  And even if he did, they would have an excuse for that.

EPA, and yes, it is about existing asbestos.
