Um I can think of a couple right wing protests that have turned pretty violent

January 6th, those Bundy "protests" where they seized government buildings and aimed rifles at law enforcement, and Charlottesville were all violent right wing demonstrations. Police are also far less inclined to escalate during right wing protests since they tend to be sympathetic.

That's their problem to figure out but how come when the right has their protest there are no riots? Seems like every left wing protest results in this shit. It's something they really fucking need to reel in over time. Obviously you can't do it at the snap of a finger.

Good, so why don't democrats use that?

We've been talking about what democrats need to perception wise in this thread and reeling the rioting shit in  is part of that.

Perception is reality

So like, when you watch a show like Andor, do you just cheer for the Empire because pErCePtIoN iS rEaLiTy?

lmfao yeah there was no hardcore cop repression of the neonazi marches and protests about how "JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US", because the fucking cops are IN those protests

Once again, perception is reality here. Democrats need to shift that perception moving forward.

A violent right wing mob tried to murder members of Congress and overthrow our government on Jan 6. On live TV.

Every one of them has been pardoned.

Shove this shit right back up your ass.

There is no winning your “perception” war when the right is confusing dishonest as to deny that ever even happened.

I’ll tell you what Jan 6 has taught us all: do EXACTLY what they did…and win.

Is what it is....y'all want to discuss how the democratic party needs to improve but you don't want to change something that is a huge negative look for the party as whole. Probably only a matter of time before someone comes in and calls me a fascist for thinking like this even though i said continue to protest.

2 instances from right wing when in the past 10-12 years democrats have nearly 2-4x that amount of protest that turned into riots.

There's an entire thread on how Fox News works.

Maybe check it out.

It's more that you're accepting the rules of engagement as the fascsists set them. You're surrendering the high ground of what is "correct", and ceding objective reality to accept their lies and propaganda.

And yeah, doing shit like that is exactly what the fascists NEED to succeed in their goals. So, maybe try NOT mindlessly repeating their lies? Present hard facts and let them cry about about how reality is biased against them.

Stop babying these fucking fascists. Stop doing their work for them.

You seem like the kind of person that's more devoted to "order" than to "justice". Law and order exist for the purpose of justice. If the law stops working for justice, it becomes a dam that blocks the flow of social progress. You are actively part of the problem for as long as you just want everyone to behave and know their place.

If you think what I'm saying is stupid, you should read the whole letter for yourself.

Two?  Nevermind that one of these "instances" was  FUCKING OPEN REVOLT TO OVERTHROW THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES......2) and EVERY SINGLE PARTICIPANT HAS NOW BEEN PARDONED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Charlottesville.  Malheur.  And let's not forget the flat-out stochastic terrorism of the right wing: El Paso, Buffalo, Tree of Life, Charleston.....FFS, the right is flat-out murdering people because they are "others," but "perception is reality."

Fucking...BULLSHIT.  Reality is reality.  And here's reality: Jan 6th taught us that what the left should do is violently overthrow the government, and then if there is any criminal risk attached, get a Dem POTUS elected to pardon all the participants, sealing the victory.  What the stochastic terrorist events taught us is that the opposition should start murdering MAGAs wherever they can be found.

I think that's shit.  But if you want to talk about "lessons learned," there they are.  Violence is a-ok.  ALL of those instances of violence, and what were the consequences, how did they "hurt the right's cause?"  NONE.  ZERO.  ZILCH.  NADA.  Fuck, they HELPED the right's cause.

The lesson is this: violence works, and pays off.  You should engage in it, it helps you win.

Just for fun, I ran a quick little search and was unable to find a single post that BO&W has ever made condemning any Republican violence. Try it yourselves. I searched around a dozen different words that might be associated with violence or destruction or specific events we know Republicans got violent for. Nothing. I did find him criticizing the Bucks for protesting the murder of George Floyd:

And I did find him dismissing any chance that Republicans might get violent in response to Biden's victory:

And of course he supported the crackdown on the like 25 kids peacefully protesting against Israel's war crimes at UT last spring, chiding them for not getting a permit:

He's got endless fucking commentary on how awful it is for people on the left to protest though, and blatantly ignores that they're usually peaceful until the police decide to make them violent.

It's almost like he's not opposed to the fascists at all.

You're the epitome of what's wrong with the democratic party and they're messaging.

Tell me how the following syllogism is incorrect:

Violent protests/actions by the right: Jan 6th, Charlottesville, Malheur, Buffalo, El Paso, Charleston, Tree of Life (gotta save America from the "invaders," and the "others").

Consequences of violent actions by the right, including violent actions taken on behalf of and in service to Donald Trump: total electoral victory, including electing DJT a second time.

The only rational takeaway from that is this: violence works.  If you want to take power, you should commit more of it.

The radical right wing authoritarian regime that is currently occupying the White House plus the house and senate is instigating this, yet somehow it’s the Democrats’ fault?

If you're a democratic voter as you claim, then you're seriously the epitome of what's wrong with it. From the start of a discussion, you buy into and repeat right wing framing of an issue. You needlessly concede points in an effort to seem reasonable and stake out some non existent middle ground. Also, you spend way more time criticizing Democrats than Republicans.

I'm just tired of seeing the party fight by different rules and playbook. It's pathetic and the leadership of the party is laughably out of touch.

The party has been fighting by the playbook you're promoting since 1992.
