Did you have a point? Elucidate please.

State police & FBI conducting a widespread drug investigation raided her house earlier in the week and arrested her felon husband after they found two unregistered firearms along with his coke stash.
kinda deflates her anti-gun campaign.

But I agree more of the criminals’ guns should be “taken off the streets”.

seriously, most of Surly doesn’t participate here, including me.... as I alluded above.

So I know you are a gun enthusiast. Why is this good for Texas?

Per my understanding of this bill, a business owner has to verbally tell people they can't carry guns into their business and can't just post a sign.  Why is my right to say what happens in a business that I own superseded by limpdicks like Armybrat and Johnny Sack who are so afraid of life they have to carry a gun with them everywhere they go?

Edited to add:  This is what was in the initial bill.  If I'm factually incorrect and this didn't make it into what Abbott signed, by all means please let me know.

Is someone going to step to you Snoop Dog. You live in a nice neighborhood; now we're going to get shot.

Hunting is stupid too. Deer meat tastes like ass. HEB has meat.

Be more like Australia. Drink beer, fight kangaroos, fuck pussy. Don't need a gun for any of that micro peen pussies.

Your hand shouldn't be on the grip unless there is an actual emergency going down.

When your dick is so tiny that you have to carry in the ready position, every moment of your life is an emergency in your head.

I have a feeling a lot of those guys carrying in the ready position got bullied/beat up/made fun of a lot in high school.  I'm serious about that.  I think they have some unresolved mental issues/trauma.

Now that the fucksticks in the lege have covered the three G’s (gays - via trans bills, god - via abortion bill, and guns) can we move the fuck on to our third world infrastructure already?
No. We need casinos, and liquor on Sunday. It's 2021 not 1821.

If true that is very stupid. Why mess up what already works? I have no problem respecting your business. I can choose to do business elsewhere.

Just left Walmart parking lot and saw a chick kinda open carrying. I say kinda because her belly was partially hiding it.

We should be getting guns off the street, not putting more on them

This does nothing to change manufacturing of firearms. This does nothing to change who can legally purchase a firearm. This does nothing to stop people who can't carry a firearm to carry one. All it does is lower the financial cost to aquire a permit from $100 to $0 and saves those same people 6 hours out of their day. A complete non-issue. Your fight is against something else but IMO it's wasted on this.

So your opinion is that people no longer having to go through the 6 hour course and pay $100 isn't going to lead to more people carrying?

I think it will be statistically insignificant. Just like open carry.

I don't expect millons of Texans who spent or would consider spending $400 on a firearm who didn't get a permit to wake up and start carrying

Statically I think only about 10% of permit owners have small dicks. Insults are usually the first sign that you can't make an educated argument.

Let me guess, guys with hugely lifted trucks and obnoxiously loud exhaust don't have small dicks either...

My moms 80+ year old friend was out at dinner. Some other old guy near them forget he he had his hand gun in his jacket and it fell out of his pocket, hit the floor and shot her in the hip. She was never the same after many surgeries. Sucks for her and family.

I expect “accidents” like this from dumbasses that shouldn’t be carrying

If they don't fix our infrastructure, we're going to be heating our homes like it's 1821 during the next big freeze.

Say, I just noticed my thread has been moved to the CR.

I posted it in the DT, so please mods, move it back there so it will get more readers than this forum.

No. This is literally a politics thread. Feel free to post about NEWS AND CURRENT EVENTS in DT which includes constitutional carry minus the politics portion. There is a discussion that can happen sans politics about what will happen due to the change etc.

Your first post and the title are straight up politics.

This thread giving the abortion thread a run for its money with wing nuts posting pure drivel. Someone tell Bob to just merge the threads.

There is a correlation, in as such the communists are delusional, and habitually attempt to invert all that is righteous and just.

According to the commies a woman has a "right" to murder her unborn child on demand due to her irresponsibility while a law abiding citizen mustn't be able to exercise their right guaranteed in the Bill of Rights explicitly, or at least be heavily infringed upon in order to exercise said rights.

Meanwhile,  the rights of thugs and illegal immigrants, and vagrants, and so on and so forth must be protected at all costs.  Their rights to commit crime without consequence is of the utmost importance to delusional, godless commies.

Unlike the abortion bill, if minorities start open carrying at a high rate, you'll see Republicans rushing to reverse it.

I found out poker houses were legal in Texas a few months ago.

I always forget how many godless commie serfs post here, until I visit the Cloak Room.

Anti-liberty statements in support of liberty? What would Ron Paul say?

I am not sure what I can make out of modern right-libertarian thought. There is a lot of circus surrounding it. The libertarians I knew said - find the wisdom, always. This modern variety is struggling to secure a pro-liberty stance on much of anything using the goobers speaking for you. That has knock on effects.

This looks like a stunt.

The Second Amendment is there for a reason. And it sets standards. Follow them.

Forget that, wait til you mofos get a load of Mrs. Whiggins carrying. I have no clue what I'm doing. My daddy didn't think women could shoot straight so he wouldn't let me touch his weapons. Now that I can just buy one carry one, I think I'll buy two carry two. One for each hand. Does anyone know if you can use a cell phone and shoot simultaneously?

Hate to tell you but minority gun ownership is on a steady rise. All while more states adapt constitutional carry.

He said "open carrying."  Looks like I'll have to post it again:

The Mulford Act was a 1967 California bill that repealed a law allowing public carrying of loaded firearms. Named after Republican assemblyman Don Mulford, and signed into law by governor of California Ronald Reagan, the bill was crafted with the goal of disarming members of the Black Panther Party who were lawfully conducting armed patrols of Oakland neighborhoods, in what would later be termed copwatching.[1][2] They garnered national attention after Black Panthers members, bearing arms, marched upon the California State Capitol to protest the bill.[3][4][5]
