He was on The Stampede Podcast today. Dummy wants to get even with us for all those millions of dollars we paid him.

Saw something about that. When did he call plays as a head coach at Texas? Or did he mean somewhere else?

While this is pretty damning, I think it was pretty clear that Day was all over the offensive play calling by the playoffs...if not calling the plays having direct input in which play to run.  At least looked like it to me.

Still though, it's pretty clear you need a walk around coach and focused OC.

Id imagine he had some degree of 'fuck off im in the playoffs' to reduce other day to day stuff.

I think the main problem with the HC as OC at large is the 90% of other time doing other stuff prevents a lot of focus

I'd do it for fucking free just to have him do a 1 hour ass chewing phone call.

Considering it's his podcast with Vince and Bob I think he's going to be on it a lot. It's actually a great listen in full context and maybe you should listen.

Let's do it. You and me, I'll arrange the meeting, you'll get free heroin, and we can get Texas football back to where it needs to be. Thank you got being a good soldier.

Tony Hills calling out the bullshit. Right after this Bobby tries sticking up for Sark and gets shot down pretty quick.

This is ultimately something Sark does not understand, momentum is more than just TOs its about making the opposing team quit so you can guarantee victory, he treats games like they were practice, getting reps for the offense when they should be resting, he is always complaining about long seasons and injuries, that is #1 reason right there.

One of the reasons we had 3rd quarter black holes is because every opposing team always thought they could beat Texas, no team really gets demotivated (except the Sooners lol), hence sweating it out.

Its the little things that Sark does not understand and he is treating the game like it is a chess match when in reality it is emotional and raw.

This is the kind of shit that might actually break through the noise and get in front of Sark. Be a fucking head coach and stop trying to force your guru vision.

Sark doesn't give a fuck what any of these people are saying. He may care what Mack, Saban, Carroll, and some of his peers who won't help him mid season will say.

Sark would kill to have Jim Tressel’s success.

Sure, but if that's the ceiling for calling his own offense then he should probably reconsider his approach. You also can have a consistently dynamic offense year to year now with an embarrassment of riches available in the portal. It's a different era.

Mack damn sure isn’t gonna tell him anything helpful. Can’t have someone over taking him. I find it hard to believe Saban will tell him much either.

I could see Mack being a wormy rata and Saban telling him to pull his head out of his ass.

I’m sure Pete Carroll drafting 2 FCS QBs in the 6th round over Quinn was a huge blow to Sark’s ego.

I don’t know. Just saw the clip. I don’t listen to podcasts, and I especially wouldn’t listen to a Mack Brown podcast. It took mountains moving to get his fat ass out of Austin the first time.

Im glad others see what a pos he was on his way out. I was worried he would worm his way around here after UNC. Nothing good is gonna come from him spending time around Sark.

I think he IS going to worm his way around here. I said it when it came out that he was moving back.

I hope CDC keeps an eye on him. Mack pretends to be an “Aw, shucks” Mr. Haney simple guy, but he’s petty and vindictive and loves himself far more than he cares about anyone else.

Agree with all of it. He showed his true colors. I wish he would stay in NC but they're probably sick of his bs there.

BB has already filled the thin-skinned, cantankerous old man role in the state of NC.

Amen Tony!

He expressed exactly what I've been posting over and over again. This fix isn't complex but our coach is making it so. Align your offensive game plan the weaknesses of the defenses your facing and the abilities of the talent on the team.

Sark did it against OU, then promptly stopped.

Its the little things that Sark does not understand winning.

Going back to Year 1 of Sark, seeing him lose six games in a row, building for the future instead of winning this game, right here, right now... took me - and apparently many others - three years to really warm up to him, and here we go again.

I don't think I'll be surprised if we manage to lose three or four of the last five games. We shouldn't, we all hope we don't, we all hope our HC can get up the OC's ass and get some lipstick on this pig.

I'm kind of hoping for a quick call to Pedo State, to let them know we'd waive whatever buyout is in the contract.

Truth be told, Jordon wouldn't be in my wheelhouse if I were sixty years younger. It's not just looks, but there's a lot to not like... just my opinion. Of course, I also admit to being not merely racist, but absolutely tribalist, when it comes to female companionship... the three great loves of my life were (and are) Danish, Scottish, and Norwegian.

Hmmm.. my own history confirms Chocolate, Mexican Vanilla, and Neapolatin are my ice creams of choice, but if caramel is available I'm always game.

These contract extensions should come with retractions if you can’t hit the previous year’s stats.

Look man, I'm all about 31 flavors, but I also recognize what I most often end up eating. Said a very wise friend once:

"I like the one who like me."

Wrong. Sark found the match-up advantages/weaknesses of the OU defense, called mostly the right plays, and our offense was able to capitalize on it.

Against Kentucky, they stacked the box. They threw everything at the run. They had all of our guys in single coverage. The right coaching decision was to go pass heavy. We were held back by a QB with the yips who consistently missed open receivers.

Look, it is about a 60% chance that we get Arch with the yips tomorrow. The 2nd time Arch misses a wide open receiver by 3 yards, Caldwell SHOULD come in the game. However, we all know Sark isn't pulling Arch. If you are mad at Sark about anything, be mad at him for not giving another QB a shot when QB1 can't effectively run the offense.

In my best butter teeth voice:

"Steve, you're right, all this fan negativity just scares ya to death. I'm just telling you right now, you're on the right path. Tell those negativity nancies the real concern is the team you're facing this week. I mean you just look across the field and you have to be impressed at the talent those teams have at their disposal. Keep on the path Steve. You're right and they're wrong. This is my friend Jimbo, I think you guys have met. He agrees with me."

You're incorrect. Against Kentucky we went back to the complex blocking scheme rather than simple down blocking, which given our OL completely fucked our running game. So, knowning we couldn't run, which is key to Sarks offense they started blizting and putting more pressure on Arch. We also ran the WR routes that took longer to develop with a longer drop. Thereby increasing the time for the play to develop while there was less time to do so.

You want to blame a single player. Tony Hills and I know wtf we're talking about, you're a clueless git.

It amuses the shit out of me that when an entire offense doesn't work for shit, there are 44 yards rushing and a total of 179 yards nearly 1/2 the yards Toledo got 329 yards of offense on Kentucky's D, some idiots want to blame a single player on Texas offensive issues. It's so fucking idiotic.

To be fair, a significant portion of the fan base wants to get even with him for giving us the best years of Texas football since Royal.
