Well man, according to ESPN (accidentally clicked, became amused and scrolled) even with that loss aggie is probably still ahead of the recruiting power houses Rutgers and Illinois. Texas has so much ground to make up... I'm just not sure. (Pretty sure our boy Graham is now getting a vote in the EPSN "poll")

Hmmm... well... that seems like a 101 sort of error that even our boy Graham would be able to catch. It lends weight to the hypothesis that he is, in fact, trolling aggie and dumbing down his content to obfuscate the reality.

This game will take place on Black Friday, according to a report by Jon Rothstein, which will no doubt put it only hours before the Aggies' football game against Texas later that day.

November 28th will be a dark day for aggy, indeed. /noracist

There are nine teams ranked ahead of Texas in that poll who have either one or two ESPN 300 commitments. Texas has eight. Not even trying to disguise its nature as clickbait.

I am increasingly convinced that his "work" is AI generated. It tends to be near perfect in terms of grammar, style and spelling, but so vapid that it seems to be the response of a bot based on standard fan-board fare.  Graham Harmon was not a journalism student -- seems like it's this thread that has a good look at his background, which I also checked out myself -- and if I recall correctly he was not an A&M undergrad or grad. But he was/is in Waco and probably saw a good market.

BTW, Google's AI says "stymy/stymie" has two acceptable spellings, but typical of AI, it isn't always completely accurate. I've gotten two different responses from it that say there are two spellings, but the two different references it's given me (Merriam-Webster and Collins) don't appear to accept "stymy." Dictionary.com does, and it's based on Random House, which it bought:

Regardless, I teach writing classes for college students and have in the last year really needed to start figuring out what's done by my students and what's AI. The telltale signs are still being figured out and argued about, but usually I can sense the difference, especially if I have specific items to compare. His stuff looks as fake as all get-out; it's laughably formulaic and virtually anyone with 5,000 or more posts on this board who also reads Texags.com could probably predict most of what his "work" says based on headlines alone.

If I get really bored, I may take a closer look at his articles and see if I can delineate why I think it's AI-generated, but I'm not there yet.

I don't know how many of ya'll here follow recruiting, but the only reason our player average isn't super high in recruiting currently is because we have three specialists committed, and those guys are always rated as low end 3*'s/2*'s.   Goober Graham always delivers.

That's great. It's paraphrasing what he said about the Clippers in response to a tweet.

"Let you tell you something Manual. I've been poor, I've been rich, I've been fat, I've been skinny, I've been old, I've been in the Hall of Fame and one thing I can always tell you, the clippers have always sucked".

Bucky McMillan is showing fans that he's NCAA Tournament-minded with the news that came down today of his scheduling a series against the Florida State Seminoles. Though FSU has had some rough patches, they're still a premier name that has put several big time players into the NBA over the last few years, such as Jonathan Isaac, Scottie Barnes, and Terance Mann.

A perennial complaint against Buzz Williams during his time in College Station was a lack of premier non-conference games. This lessened quite a bit by Buzz's last two years, but the poor strength of schedule for the Aggies was always an albatross when it came time to compare resumes.

This is a step in the right direction on that front for the Ags. This game will take place on Black Friday, according to a report by Jon Rothstein, which will no doubt put it only hours before the Aggies' football game against Texas later that day.

Texas A&M basketball schedules series against Florida State Seminoles
FSU finished out last year ranked 90th in the NET— so if that's where they are come next year, it should be a game that will look good as a win for the Aggies should that be the outcome, but not too terrible of a loss for a tournament team if things go the other way.

Of course, that's assuming that "tournament team" is the realistic goal to which this squad is aspiring. With the way that McMillan has put the personnel together here, this could be a team that challenges for a dark-horse conference championship run.

That's far off, and we still more than anything need to see how the team gels. As of right now, though, they will have an early-season spot on their schedule to impress fans, who will no doubt be waiting around for the final regular-season football game of the year.

They haven't made the Tournament since 2021.

Yeah, but they won the Basket all National Championship in 2020, or so said the Florida state senate!!! I mean they didn’t win a single game in the non-existent tournament but, thats a power house right there with there 1 final 4 appearance and 3 ACC championships.
