probably best to watch this on mute, but we haven’t had a qb since at least colt (possibly VY) who could make this play and this throw:

Wonder what his stats would be if he hadn’t sucked shit through a straw to start the season?

I’ll take a wild guess that his completion percentage would be higher, he’d have more yards and touchdowns and fewer interceptions?

And bring in a top flight running back in the portal.

assuming he isn’t draft eligible, i’d love to get ahmad hardy from mizzou.

I will admit that I was one who suggested that Caldwell should potentially play more - and maybe even start a game.  Manning looked injured, frustrated, and even appeared to have the yips.  I will also admit that it was a foolish (or even stupid) suggestion.  He needed to play through adversity and get more comfortable.  He's done just that.  [Not to mention the impact of benching him to recruiting, team dynamics, etc.]

Because of Arch's play, Texas was eviscerating Vandy until the defense went a little softer and the refs put their thumbs on the scale.  Texas crushed Arkansas yesterday, and Manning was a primary reason for that.  It's an even bigger win without a small handful of miscues.  Looking forward to kicking the crap out of Aggy.

If the OL hadn't been a complete floating dumpster fire from day 1, he'd have improved a lot quicker, too.

I think the WR, too.

RB still suffers at the hands of the OL.

Thought Arch was very good. When I saw this live it was a Wow moment. After seeing the replay I said Arch got away with one. Of course this is the play Achilles picked

Why are you bringing misery to something that's happy?

Dallas ain’t gonna win shit with Jerruh. Everyone seems to know that Jerruh, the owner who sucks at football related decision, accept for a few  peeps who are fucking delulu, it’s been 30 mother fucking years. Grow a brain. It’s not going to happen.

I teared up for some reason seeing VY’s  reaction to Arch’s TD . Thank you VY! No TY can be good enough.

Totally agree that they aren't winning anything as long as Jerry is above dirt, but the play happened a decade before Dallas won another 3 Super Bowls. I was about 8yrs old when it happened, and that play still hurts 40+ years later.

And frankly its a pretty telling choice. Celebrating the pain of a Texas cities NFL fan base, on a Texas Longhorn forum, about a great reception by a Texas Longhorn QB, last night, with a catch from a NFL team from San Francisco, CA, by a WR in a game from over 30 years ago.

Here is one with a QB born in Austin, Texas:

Yeah if a qb with a lesser arm tries that same thing, it's probably picked by the DB coming across left to right, but that ball just had too much on it. 'Laser' is got damn right.

In hindsight, I kinda wish we saved this play for aggy.

They have to prepare for it now though, so that's a good thing.

Yeah that is a remarkable resemblance.

Watching Leinart at 0:33 left, that look on his face was so priceless, like "Fuck me. I've seen this fucking movie before". He knew what was about to happen.

That is a throw that I don’t think half of the current NFL QBs could make.

I enjoyed that Arch took advantage of the awful coverage of the Arkansas secondary and hit on some deep throws. Heading into yesterday, there was a stat that in our losses Arch was attempting an average pass of 11 yards and in the wins it was closer to 6 yards. The thought being he was pressing during the losses and we weren't connecting on short routes that were happening with Wingo in the victories like Vandy. He would've had more yards if some drops didn't happen. Play action looked great yesterday too which is amusing since we don't run the ball much.

Well that’s got several reasons.  UF was 20 yards per throw.  So that’s about 3 games worth in one.  Also probably being down 18 to Georgia in the 4th likely pushed that number too.  For UF, I believe that was the stated gameplan to push it down the field.

Gameplanning is seemingly all over the board.

The All-22 film angles...whew.

I love the way he set up his block on the touchdown run. Started outside to keep the defender there, then jumped back inside when he knew the pulling guard was arriving. Perfection.

He high points better than our WRs and sets up blocks better than our RBs lol

Some folks just don’t get how painful the catch was because those of us who watched it on TV live expected Montana to be crushed. Most have only ever seen the catch itself.

If Arkansas could catch, that’s a pick. Arch is playing great, that’s not the play to single out for a multitude of reasons.

Don’t be foolish. It’s not like the defender had it in his hands and dropped it. Now, had he been quicker trying to get it, then maybe you have an argument.
