You call me the asshole.  I've been accused multiple times on this board recently of treating people badly, YET...

I have assaulted nobody.

I have confronted nobody.

I treat people with respect.

I serve my community.

I've never been arrested, nor should have been.  Not just luck of the draw.

I just disagree with a lot of the left's politics...

and that makes me a threat, regardless of how I conduct my life.   What a fucking joke you people are.  You are NOTHING like what you say you are.

You are the opposite of a threat. I called you an asshole because you implied (apropros of nothing) that people who don't actively support the president (or whatever "the left" means) don't have an ethical or moral problem with abortion.  That's an assholish thing to say, and in the wrong circumstances, fighting words for me and many others.

So no, to be very clear - your abortion posts on this thread emphatically do NOT treat people with respect.

Wear the wrong shirt or hat, and everyone's a rape apologist, " Fucker shoulda known he's gonna git hit for wearing that MAGA shit.  He was askin for it."

Who hit the kid? More right-wing cries of false victimization.

Yeah, as I mentioned in the other thread. I was in a similar situation as these kids at a Jack in the Box when I was a teen. Big mexican dude knocked my friends hat off and slapped his burger on the ground. I hit him in the head with a chair and then we proceeded to kick the shit out of him once he dropped to the floor. You just can't let people disrespect you.

On the flipside, in my 20's, I slapped a slushie into a teenager's face and threw his friend into a rack of bikes at Target for acting like little shits towards an elderly couple.

I've been both sides of the Whataburger situation but never started shit.

So by "a similar situation" you mean "a different situation"? Unless you were wearing racist gear or saying racist shit?

It was 230 in the morning.   He and his friends walked to the Whataburger around the corner.   Not their wisest moment for sure.   But they weren’t wearing it to make a political statement. It was just something patriotic to wear for the 4th.  It was his dads hat.

"I just love my country," I sob in German as a bunch of jerks yell at me about my Swastika neck tattoo.

Yeah, well:

An attack on a teenage Trump supporter that was caught in a viral video may have been motivated by vile racial slurs, a report said Frid

Hunter Richard, 16, was eating with pals at a burger joint in Texas, when Kino Jimenez, 30, allegedly ripped off his “Make America Great Again” hat and dumped a cup of soda on him, according to the local station WFMY-TV.

But the station reported Friday that a witness overheard the group of teens making racist jokes just moments before Jimenez lashed out at the teen.
“They were talking about, for the Fourth of July, [that] hanging black people from trees would be the perfect party,” the witness told the local station.

The station later removed the incendiary quotes without explanation.
Viewers assumed the attack was politically motivated.
Richard later told MySanAntonio.com he wanted to have a conversation with Jimenez about their political differences.

“He has a right to his opinion,” Richard told the outlet.

Keep fighting the good fight bt. Especially if you truly are raising white blonde haired blue eyed children. I can only assume you look similar. It’s going to take every sane white person to fix this mess of a country no doubt about it. The feelings of uncomfortable white folks are far more important than the actual lives of the minority in America. Borderline thankful for the Trump presidency finally putting this all front and center.

That report is bogus.   They were the only ones in the restaurant.    It was rescinded because it’s not true.    At least that’s what I’m told.   They are waiting on the stores surveillance.   So seems like truth will come out at some point.

Hunter is your typical over social media’d Teenager.     He’s definitely eating up the extra attention now.   I don’t think he has a drivers license yet.

He and his 2 friends and this asshat and his friend and the employees were the only folks in the restaurant.   Again.  Not wearing the hat for any kind of attention.

With the Instagram post above, i’m calling bullshit on your side of the story. There is zero chance that there isn’t more to this story before the video starts.

Yeah, I thought so.  The way the guy "assaulted" him, saying "you aint supporting shit," or whatever, was pretty clearly based on the message conveyed by the MAGA hat and not anything more specific.  If they were really talking about lynching browns or whatever, the hat and whomever they were "supporting" would have been the least of the concerns of the "assaulter."

The coke tosser is absolutely in the wrong.

But if those kids were completely innocent in this situation, they wouldn't have just sat there and taken it. I'm not a confrontational person at all, but if Mike Tyson threw a coke on me for no reason I'd instinctually get up and have words with him. The way MAGA hat's friend reacted is curious. He was scared shitless.

I guess we will see since Im sure we will hear more to this story one way or the other.  All I know is lots of us have a few cousins who, if they ended up getting their asses kicked at 2am in a Whataburger.....yea, that sounds about right.

That's pretty normal behavior for a teen in 2018 when outside the phone-zone.

Agreed.  I don't think a lot of us have full appreciation for how unsocialized, even the negative aspects thereof, are many of the screen generation.  They frequently have little idea how to handle any personal interaction, in person, especially confrontation.

And, as woke and engaged as some teens may be, I'm relatively certain that there are quite a number that would wear a MAGA hat or something similar (the old Che tshirt, for example) for ironic purposes or just to be part of a "thing" without realizing how controversial that thing might be.  That's kind of par for the course for teenagers.

Similar situation as in being in a fast food restaurant after midnight as a teenager. Having a fully grown Mexican man in his twenties knock my friend's hat off and ruin the food he just purchased. As in pretty fucking similar.

How is this thread this long?

Don't be assaulting people and stealing their shit, regardless of what they say.  Walk away.  That's called being a fucking grownup.  If you're triggered over a stupid, moronic fucking hat that some edgelord teenager is wearing at Whataburger at 2 in the morning and/or think you're saving the country by stealing it and tossing it in the trash you need counseling.

Goddamn but Americans know how to make mountains out of fucking molehills these days.

Because certain unnamed right wing trust fund dipshits that have never worked hard a day in their lives and make money off the backs of illegal immigrants have decided to totally not incite violence by calling all protest, against the actions and words of this administration, terrorism. That way, any and all action against them, no matter how small, justifies violent/over the top response.

Why aren't these Latinos more chill about how armed government agents are ripping babies out of mothers' arms and then locking those kids up in abandoned, 100+ degree office buildings in Arizona?

I mean, SpiralOut is OK, so everyone else must be, right?!

Holy shit, BT.  You're right.  How have I been so blind this entire time?  When the government does something I don't like or approve of that totally gives me carte fucking blanche to go around stealing shit, assaulting people (especially minors who have absolutely zero power in our government), and doing basically whatever the fuck I want!

With that insane logic this country will devolve into civil war in no time.  It'll be fucking great.

And of course, this latino's brave, heroic actions have totally stopped all that evil, evil shit Trump and Co. are up to, right?  Right?  Wait.  You're saying he just got his dumbass thrown in jail?  Nothing changed?  Fuck.  Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Depending on what the government does and what your response is... sure?

Legally, no, but ethically... it always depends on context.

I'd like to see you involved in discussions about declaring independence from the UK. How shiny would you get King George's boots with your tongue?

That's not the standard for civil disobedience. You're substituting melodramatic outrage for logic. Bad posting.

Maybe they’re pussies who hadn’t thought about repercussions of wearing MAGA hat.  It’s set off drunk Hispanic dude at SA whataburger.  They started recording when they thought something could happen instead of getting ready to defend themselves.

I think that’s way more likely than two white teens openly talking about hanging black people in a largely minority part of town. Few people are that stupid.

Which do you think is more likely?

Coming from you, the guy defending someone assaulting teenagers and acting like him taking a felony charge (which is the law) is the most unjust thing imaginable, is fucking rich.

Let's see, so far in this thread you've:

Shown ignorance of the law and claimed this man should be exempt from it because he agrees with your ideology

Blamed the victim and made up fantasies about what the victim supposedly did to "deserve" what his attacker did to him

Conflated civil disobedience w/ assault and theft

Excused said lawbreaking because of some perceived racial sensitivity to events that have zero bearing on this interaction as far as we know

Implied you'd excuse almost any and all law breaking because won't someone please think of the children (or basically insert any hot button political topic, because lets be honest, any will work for you)

So who exactly is being illogical and melodramatic here?

Bad posting.

I love how Trump fans can't help themselves.  It's like some Pavlovian response.

I point out that to a Trump fan anyone left of Trump is considered a "commie", and your response is to insinuate that I'm a commie/socialist.  It's amazing.

I'm not a Bernie fan, but I do get annoyed by Trumper hypocrisy.  Trump praises Putin, while GOP congressmen have a cozy visit with an enemy of the state on the 4th, and you're offended by someone who's policies mirror those of some of our closest allies?

Man, there is some serious twilight zone shit going on.

Depends on the circumstances. But overall I'd rather not. I've been to some of the rallies, but it's a bunch of libs, women, kids, etc...

I support my comrades who behave differently, however, as long as it is reasonable and makes sense.

I never said that. Lie.

I never said the "victim" did anything. Another lie.

That's... not a conflation. Civil disobedience can involve both of those crimes.
