Considering Meyer's wife had specific language in her contract about being accountable for reporting this shit as well, wouldn't be absolutely have to be fired and publicly reprimanded for not doing shit with the chain of command or reporting this as well? If he's going to get off scott free and cashing his checks I'd love to test the depths of his moral bankruptcy to sit and smile while his wife is drug through the mud by Ohio State and he just sits there gainfully employed like nothing happened. A man can dream. I doubt seriously that they would touch her if he gets off with a wrist slap.

But the fact of the matter is that if my understanding of the verbiage in her contract is even close to the proper ballpark, then that is a cut and dry case as there might be. All it would take is someone in the media to literally start applying pressure.

August 22, 20187 yr So, today's the day? I guess we'll know if what should happen is going to happen if ol' Urbs comes down with a 'heart condition' in the next couple of hours.

But since he did that, I think the question in tOSU's mind will boil down to whether or not he actually did that and, if so, what came of that investigation. So long as his statement about reporting it in 2015 was accurate, and so long as they don't find any evidence that the investigation into Smith was tampered with Briles-style, I think he walks. And I think Shelly walks, by proxy, because they'll say that Urban reported everything, so the University, collectively, was on notice of these allegations.

August 22, 20187 yr I hope the investigation details what happened with the thousands of dollars worth of sex toys delivered to ZS office. The volume of merchandise was clearly more than just for personal use.

Personally, I'm excited to think about the porns this guy has put out there with various women that were almost certanily filmed on tOSU complex property.

August 22, 20187 yr still don't care if all he did was report it. he let a woman beater on his staff for years. hes a POS
August 22, 20187 yr I think there is something poetic about the fact that UM is photographed next to a dumpster.
August 22, 20187 yr Next really unexpected twist: Zach Smith has arrived at the meeting to plead his reformation case to the committee, and to tell them exactly what he'll do to them if both he and Urban are not reinstated.

August 22, 20187 yr This whole show today will play out highly choreographed and well executed with Urban being absolved. But the fact will still remain Meyers using his enormous power harbored and protected a wife beater. I hope the media will forever remind him of that fact.
August 22, 20187 yr If he is in the closed session, there is 0% chance he is fired. Stay classy bucknuts
August 22, 20187 yr Need an OSU parody twitter account. Buckeye Equipment Manager or OSU Shipping/receiving dept. Then do product placement adds for Adam&Eve, Hustler, etc....profit!

I'm sure he's there to present his innovative, four step plan for ensuring this does not happen again: 1) Discontinue previous practice of employing known spousal abusers 2) Discontinue previous practice of employing coaches who engage in sex with their executive assistants 3) Discontinue previous practice of employing coaches who ship sex toys to their office 4) Discontinue previous practice of lying to and berating the press when confronted about practices 1-3 See, he has clearly learned a valuable lesson here and will not repeat his mistakes. Problem solved.

August 22, 20187 yr I would be legitimately excited for this but there is no chance in hell Meyer is even on the chopping block right? This is all for show so they can act like they really did their homework. OSU is covering their assess because they got caught. If you fire Meyer you have to fire Gene Smith because if Meyer knew then Gene knew as well.

August 22, 20187 yr My take from all of this is he's definitely not fired. And it seems to tip towards "time served," go run practice this afternoon.
August 22, 20187 yr I'm assuming they keep Meyer. If that's the case, then I really hope Zach Smith also gets reinstated. Ohio State deserves both of them.
