I called out someone spelling his name wrong and realized I made a mistake too in the first post (weird auto correct) so called myself out as well.

I'm just saying to feel free to misspell Kunt Bowels' name any time and any way you want.

Look jackass, we all know and have agreed I'm prone to go full regard! I wasn't aware that self mockeration fell into the full regard world. I've noted it and will endeavor to never repeat that mistake again.

Now, please go eabod.

Well, next time just fucking say that instead of making me decode your message. See my post above regarding regards and my propensity to regard regardless.

Asshole.

Miami, who plays literally no one, being ahead of us is absolutely hilarious. Clemson is going to go full on Sing Sing shower rape on them.

If SMU, Miami, and Clemson go undefeated, who goes to the ACC championship?

I would think Clemson based on schedule. Miami has had nothing but cupcakes, same with SMU. Clemson played Georgia, and the other two played JUCO teams.

Oof.  Google is your friend:

Quote

At the most basic level, the teams with the two best winning percentages in conference play will play on the first weekend of December in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Bank of America Stadium for the ACC title.

In the case of a two-team tie for the second-best winning percentage, the first move is to turn to head-to-head competition, with the winner of that game holding the advantage. If there was no head-to-head competition, the next determinant is winning percentage against all common opponents. Then it moves to win percentage against common opponents with the added caveat of order of finish in the conference, beginning with the highest-seeded common opponents and moving downward in order of the standings. The fourth step is to factor in the combined winning percentage of a team's conference opponent, with the team who faced the better opponents gaining the advantage.

One problem is that there are simply too many Div 1 (or whatever the term is) college programs.

plus

A playoff based on rankings is regarded. Guaranteed spots for certain conferences is bullshit. Big money wants it both ways.

plus

NIL money and the transfer portal

equals:

Fans: Controversy!!! so and so is ranked one spot above so and so!!!! OUTRAGE!!!!

              ESPN: Heh heh, dance morons.

If we are going to have a playoff (sigh), then we need 8 conferences with 10 to 12 teams each. Each conference decides who their champion is and sends that team to the playoffs. Random seeded. Team with best record or best point differential is home team.

Or seed based on records (or point differentials). Whatever.

SMU played two P4 teams in non-con one of whom is undefeated and ranked in the top 10.

Not that non-con has anything to do with CCG tiebreaker.

So the All State playoff predictor has both us and Aggy in and Georgia in the top 4.

That seems like a very unlikely scenario.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but what I see has A&M at #13 (which I think is unlikely unless they lose today and to us).

Meh. Only one of those teams has a winning record

Yeah, but similar for Texas and Penn State.

Heard a talking head this morning trying to figure out ways to leave a 2 loss Texas and/or Penn State out of CFP... said they have no good wins.

I mean if we’re going off Eye test Penn State shouldn’t be ranked ahead of Texas. It’s a coin flip with Miami, but I’d give Miami the nod due to them being undefeated.

Penn State like I said yesterday is not a top 5 team, but they’ll get in due to their schedule being weak.

its partitive Texas takes care of business these last four games.

Seems like a lot of the national media is looking for ways to keep Texas out if they lose two due to “not playing anyone”

I know, but I specifically said eye test. Miami hasn’t looked that good so relax. Cam Ward and that WR have though!

If we lose a game that’s not the SEC championship game then I wouldn’t vote us in.

The Committee is supposedly not beholden to the polls. And it would be hard to argue that a Week 10 undefeated Big 10 team shouldn’t be ranked in the top 5 in any given season.

Another interesting development…are we looking at a scenario where Boise State captures a Top 4 seed over the Big XII champion or an ACC Champion that isn’t Miami?

I was looking at Boise yesterday and a bit shocked they're so low.  I realize they play an easy schedule, but they played Oregon closer than everyone except Ohio State and have dominated most other games.  Top 10 seems warranted, at least.
