I've seen this movie way too many times over the past decade+. Maybe when Curry retires we'll have a chance to beat Golden State

That’s pretty much the narrative now, Steph Curry to the Rockets is akin to Jose Altuve to the Yankees

I’d extend FVV, but ripping up his deal and giving him another 3 years would be madness. I think he played just well enough to execute the player option.

Green played his way out of town. I’d honestly take an unprotected first for his sorry ass. I wish Cam gave any effort on defense to push Green.

Resign Adams.

Desperately need a 3 and D wing and a backup point guard that can shoot.

Green is owed over $100 million over the next 3 years.

Who's giving up an unprotected first for that?

Much like Cam, I think he could score 25-30 a night on a bad team. Perhaps, one of the bottom feeders with a lot of picks could be interested. In likelihood though, I think Green is packa a big 3 team deal.

Green, Eason, and Brooks need to be traded in the offseason.

VanVleet resigned to a longer deal at half the price. Do everything ti bring back Adams. The core is Sengun, Thompson, and Smith. Maybe Sheppard shows something in year 2. Need a backup PG, 2 SGs, and a 3 and D wing.

Why would you deal Eason? Agreed with everything else.

Historically poor match up for the Rockets and Kerr has Ime’s number. We’ll get dunked on by the obvious national types, but a young team took a very experienced team to a Game 7.

They shouldn’t run it back, but I wouldn’t overreact either. The Rockets have a lot of picks and they’re a few teams that desperately need to rebuild and have no picks. They should do quite well in the offseason.

not sure about breaking up this core

Verno from The Mismatch made a good comparison. He said the Rockets need to careful they don’t become the Grizzlies. The Grizz never made a splashy trade and they got bounced a couple times as a 2 seed. They’re probably staring down the barrel of Ja asking out and full rebuild now.

That said, trading half of our rotation and picks to the Bucks for Giannis might not be a good idea.

I agree with you, but I’d take that over what I fear will actually happen: trading half the rotation and picks for Durant

I don’t think that will happen. I think Stone is the best GM in the city.

Do we know what the Suns were asking for Durant at the all star break?

Such a young team that plays really hard. I wouldn’t blow up anything. Lock Amen and Sengun in the gym all summer shooting until their arms fall off and run it back.

Your going to be stuck with Green though unless you want to send assets out with him.

start the offseason thread, this game is over

we need a pg / shooter

this team can't shoot

Fred is a good PG. Hell, he might be the MVP of the team (I know, it's Sengun, but without fred this team was average.)

Rockets need Amen to find a shot coach and a 3...

and for Jalen to find a sports psychologist that can unlock competitive intensity, because he has none, which is why he's so inconsistent.

Jabari just needs to shoot more.

Cam needs to learn how to play team basketball (especially defense).

Dillon Brooks is good enough as a 4th option.

shitty free throw shooting is on the coach and staff

Man, nah...  This is the NBA, not middle school. They're not spending practice time on FTs. That is something a player should do on their own.

Who is the old fella. I see him in a lot of games.

Has sat courtside at Lakers and Clippers games for years and travels around for other NBA games.

I can't remember his name, but supposedly made a great deal of money in real estate out in SoCal.

Jimmy Goldstein.  Also owns the Big Lebowski house.

That was such a Houston game 7. They have a guy that scored 0 in game 6 and was averaging under 10 a game since April that drops 33 on 9-11 from downtown hahaha. I mean that’s a Houston game 7 gut punch we’re all used too. We need so much that we’re all giving out 12 different scenarios. We need a leader on the court for sure, and we just got experience so we will see who improves from it and who will do what a lot of nba guys do and that’s stay the same or regress. That’s up to a good GM to see who is still growing and who isn’t and trade them or we will end up like the grizzlies.
