Watching the b1 there was never ever ever ever ever the slightest fucking chance in hell we were winning this game.

Espada seemed far more interested in getting Spag some innings than in getting the team a W. Maybe he thinks all our games in Florida are spring training.

The Tampa series sure played out that way. It was absurd that we went 1-2 in that one.

It would have to be a three-way deal that also brings back the Verlander.  Them’s the rules.

if alavarez is done for the season + the pitchers want him bac, 1000% let's get him

Framber is likely the only pitcher that has a lot of innings with Maldanado, so that is a FUCK NO. Offense is already a problem, pitching is not.

his clubhouse presence is off the scale, have to factor that in too

i know the surly thread gives zero f's about culture and clubhouse, but that's the a huge part of our success

If Alvarez is done for the season then Dana should be fired for not trading Framber.

We don't need piggyback starts.  We need to get Gordon (and potentially Alexander unless he wants to keep going like his last outing)  out of the rotation and sprinkle some rest days for Brown.

His avg exit velocity is really high so that's probably fitting.

You’re not reading that right. His (allowed) exit velo is quite low - 87mph which puts him in the 91% for pitchers.

no yordan this year = more caratini and diaz hitting dh / playing first. maldy is the perfect 3rd catcher for 3 months

Fuck this - Maldy isn’t the perfect anything anymore. He sucks at hitting. His defense is atrocious. His magic power was supposedly preparation and game planning but it didn’t actually reduce anyone’s ERA when compared to the other Astros catchers.

No Hummel is the perfect 3rd catcher cause he can actually play another position if needed....and is probably 5X faster than Mashitty if they were to need someone to run or some dumb shit

This. It’s the only reason he is prob still around honestly. He ain’t much but better than having Maldy or Salazar taking up a seat on the bench.
