Stop with the Luhnow was the greatest GM ever rettoric. Yes he built a great team, but he was also a cancer to the organization. There's a reason no other team hired him afterwards.

he really needs to be top 3 cy young

He’s gonna get fucked because he’s an Astro and all of a sudden W/L record will matter.

fried 19-5

crochet 18-5

I’d have traded Framber by the deadline since he was at highest value, didn’t want a reasonable extension, and (in my perception) had a shitty attitude. I’d definitely shop Yordan. We know he’s an injury factory, but he still gets a lot of national hype and it would be considered a blockbuster trade for whoever gets him so hopefully the return would be good. DFA LMJ because he’s had bad juju for the team since his 2022 WS implosion. The Jose Abreu and Montero contracts are off the books this offseason, right? If Peña and Scott Boras are eyeing some mega extension based on one great season out of his four, I’d listen to trade offers for him too (Paredes 3B, Correa SS?). Same for Jake Meyers whose average this year should yield the best return we’d ever get for him.  Reload AAA, see who’s ready to move up from AAAA, find value FA’s to fill in the gaps.

Yordan has never hit 40 HRS in a season. Judge just hit 50  for the third time. Cal Raleigh just hit #60.

I'd be ok trading Yordan. Mfer can't cross home plate without getting hurt.

Team checked out just like I did, don't feel so bad now.

Just too damn many injuries and a fucking disaster of a medical staff.

Someone post the medical staff Simpson's image please.

that dodger series, what a time to be alive !

Since sweeping the Dodgers, the Astros are 29-38.

Yordan only played 19 of those games.

The Astros have gone 1-9 in Framber's last 10gms.

Dana needs to join Espada in the unemployment line. Clean house and hire the smartest, analytics nerd assistant GM in baseball. I don’t trust Dana to hire a competent manager.

I’d give this kid a shot as an analyst in our rebuilt personnel department after he graduates from the U. of Chicago.

This guy didn’t win every game or win a WS as a player for the Astros, but he was someone you believed in. spacer.png

Man I would love to see the Astro’s wear orange hats and sleeves occasionally with their current uniforms.

Love Jose Cruz.

Amazing that us or the Tigers are going to make the playoffs.  Shows how shitty the rest of the league is. And that too damn many teams get in now.

Due to a combination of being busy and west coast games I haven't been able to watch the last couple of nights... not that I'm all that sad about that. It appears the playoff run is over. Totally sucks, but I can't complain too much since we've been spoiled lately. It's been a great few years and we were totally snakebit with injuries this year. Have a good off-season and get back to winning next year.

Technically, we are having a winning year.  Not by current Astros standards, but plenty of fanbases would love to trade places with us.
