Sigh. Can we not post political misinformation? One voted for the bill. Not both. The right wing account you're quoting has already corrected that statement.

No, they both voted. One in the their House and the other in their Senate. If you would like, go look it up here and here.  That is directly from the Minnesota's .gov system. That was the reason I looked it up because it seemed too stupid to be to actually be believable...

This may end up being politically inconvenient for people, but if the local reports are correct, this is going to get much worse because the name being provided to local law enforcement is someone embedded in Minnesota state politics.

This whole thing is fucking wild. It has no real part in the the fabric of America and the whole thing is a travesty.

Minnesota has always been their own strain of weird politically, but for the most part has been fairly civil with their differences. If the name being circulated is the true, it makes no sense to me.

False flag!

edit:

1) so he is a cop, basically.
2) the other thread talks about abortion providers being on his hit list, so who knows what his motivation ended up being

3) those no kings printouts look sus af.

this could be a little more complex than straight up political terrorism.

Yes they both voted. No, they didn't both vote for it. You didn't read your own link. Hoffman voted against:

Hoffman actually voted against it twice. He voted against suspending the rules to accelerate its readings for votes and then against the passage of the bill.

It doesn’t? Yeah…places like El Paso, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, etc might say differently.
Vance Luther Boelter - appointed by Waltz to the Governor's Workforce Development Board.
https://nypost.com/2025/06/14/us-news/suspect-in-deadly-minnesota-shootings-identified-as-vance-luther-boelter/

Appointment renewed, not first appointed. He was appointed by a Republican governor, and Walz didn’t purge every appointee, he renewed many. Like sane officials should do.
I feel like this is the low point and everything is about to get a whole lot better.

Dayton is a Dem, though It's true that appointments at that level don't tell you much about leanings.

Based on the evidence, Mr.Boetler appears to be a fundamentalist Christian. I have no idea what triggered him to go on a politically motivated killing spree but the manifesto, which no one on here has read, could probably shed the most light.  I hope this guy mailed copies to various press beforehand, because I doubt we get access to it otherwise.

I doubt his plan included taking out all 70 on his list in one night, so I can’t imagine he was ready to publicize his intentions like that.

He left the manifesto for the police to find in his vehicle… he seemed ready enough

I don’t think he was planning to be found that quickly. I think the cops surprised him at the 2nd house

Dr. Vance Boelter has been involved with security situations in Eastern Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, including the West Bank, Southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. He brings a great security aspect forged by both many on the ground experiences combined with training by both private security firms and by people in the U.S. Military.  He has worked for the largest U.S. oil refining company, the world's largest food company based in Switzerland and the world's largest convenience retailer based in Japan.

Fuckin "Praetorian Guards Security"? Running contracts for oil refiners and "the world's largest food company based on Switzerland" - aka Nestle the water thieves?? Gimme a break with the "ZOMG he's actually LEFTIST!!!ONE!!" and actually engage with the facts of the situation.

Both elected Democrats (one a former Speaker of the Minnesota House) voted with the Republicans to remove illegal immigrants from Minnesota Care this week (HF001). One was in the Minnesota House and the other in the Minnesota Senate.  The Bill passed 68-65 in the Minnesota House and 37-30 in the Minnesota Senate.

Everyone I know in Minneapolis is going WTF...

Yes. Those that think the first page didn't age well are idiots. An anti abortion radical targeted democratic law makers, abortion providers, and abortion advocates. But sure, he must be a lefty because he wasn't kicked off a commission by Walz.

He was so close with Walz he had him on his hit list. Why are you so insistent on this propaganda line?

ABC news has new reporting on who was on the list:

https://abcnews.go.com/US/gov-walz-rep-omar-dozens-minnesota-democrats-gunmans/story?id=122847427

Dozens of Minnesota Democrats were on a target list written by the gunman, according to law enforcement sources.

The Minnesota Democrats on the list included Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, U.S. Sen. Tina Smith and state Attorney General Keith Ellison, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter.

Police said the list -- which was retrieved from the suspect’s vehicle -- also named Hortman and Hoffman. Both victims are Democrats and Hortman was formerly the Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

The shooter’s list of potential targets also included the names of abortion providers and pro-choice activists, several sources told ABC News. Many of the Democratic lawmakers on the list have been outspoken about pro-choice policy positions, two sources said.

There's some evidence emerging that he may be a Christian nationalist and anti-abortion activist.  Here's a link someone on Reddit posted to a sermon he gives -- haven't watched it, don't know the summary. Just took a quick look and saw that he's giving a talk or sermon of some sort and it's being translated into French. It's a two-hour video and I'm not going to watch it.

Lots of early speculation of links to the New Apostolic Reformation and the Seven Mountain Mandate.

Whatever money he apparently had for his security-related work in other countries apparently ran out not too many months ago and he was looking for executive positions.

Again, it's pretty early and there's plenty of stuff flying out from both ends of the spectrum. But it's not going to be too many more hours before a clearer picture emerges.

Edit: Also, one of the groups he was linked to, MN Africans United, has apparently already scrubbed the page they had for him. Their home page is still active, but the link shown below by Google results in a "server not available" message. Cardinal Stritch was a private Catholic university that closed in 2023 for financial reasons.

That bio reads like some Gravy Seal bullshit. And the company page is much more “mall cop” than “soldier of fortune.”
