We are going to lose next week in Jax and will be 0-3 and out of the playoffs before the end of the month.

Caserio needs to be fired. Year 3 with rookie contract Stroud and the OL has gotten worse. Ryans needs to be held accountable for two horrible OC hires.

Demeco deserves heat for hiring ANOTHER 1st time play caller. I wanted Chip Kelly. He also owns the undisciplined, stupid penalties this team seems to always get at the worst possible times. Caserio will be fired before Demeco IMO, still Demeco’s seat should be feeling the burn.

Kelly would have been a home run hire considering his NFL head coaching experience and their previous relationship as DeMeco played for Kelly in Philadelphia.

Shouldn’t be though

They played tough today just didn’t spy the QB enough and got out of passing lanes

Offense needs to get a legit backup for Chubb. Keeping stupid Mixon was a big mistake.

Is it time to talk about CJ Stroud?

Yeah I hope he goes somewhere with an OL so he doesn’t look like shit. He’s still got like half a second to pass with 7 people blocking.

Yep he’s a little washed up but at least Houston would have a run game

Chubb's TD was utter lack of awareness of the score and game clock and that goes to coaching.

He absolutely should have gone down either outside the 10 yd line or at the goal line. Make them use all their timeouts goddamnit. I was happy for the 6 but knew that score was not smart with so much time on the clock, the two minute warning, and three opponent timeouts left.

Did DeMeco make the OC hire or did the GM?

Demeco. He deserves to get the heat for going with 1st time play caller AGAIN instead of hiring a sure thing like Chip Kelly who was readily available to join our staff.

Are you regarded? TB had the 2 minute warning and 3 timeouts. You would rather have a 2 point lead with 1:40 and TB only needing a FG to win? Rather than 41% of the time they need a TD to tie and 59% of the time they need a TD to win?

We know you are upset but Tampa had 3 timeouts and Texans had struggled to get a yard. Now go back look at the score and pencil in a field goal as a result of what you propose and then tell us if going down actually would make sense.

What I wanted was a better 2-point conversion call than that dumbass RB not understanding blitz pickup and the OC not understanding Tampa was coming with an all out blitz again.

That's precisely the point. Make them use all of their timeouts!! You and I both knew that they were going to drive down the field but if you give them a full clip of timeouts with two minutes left in the game needing a TD to win, they're gonna do that. I said that in real time at home when Chubb scored. Yeah I cheered because it's a TD, but I also knew within one second of that reaction that he fucked up. He absolutely should have gone down, either before the ten yard line to give us a shot at multiple first downs and a chip shot FG to win it, or we run three plays and make them use all their timeouts and either punch it in for a TD or kick the FG. Either way, Chubb's run was great but a better coached team has him doing what KC or Detroit would do and that is a knock on DeMeco imo. That was a golden opportunity to run clock and win the game.

Watch that play again. The RB picked up the right guy. The LG Tomlinson is the one that fucked it. I know Aikman blamed it on the RB, but I think maybe he’s had too many concussions.

You realize that you can still score a TD and that same logic applies, but the smarter play would be to go down close to the goal line in order to run clock and score a TD? The issue is the clock and they should have used it to their full advantage.

It's amazing to me that y'all can't recognize how dumb that TD by Chubb was wrt clock management.

There is zero question that was stupid clock management. How's this even in doubt?

Despite the Houston defense playing their tails off, Chubb needs to down inside the 5 instead of scoring the TD. Force the Bucs to use two timeouts and burn the 2 minute warning. Then, if you can't punch it in, you let Imi, who is damn near automatic, hit the chip shot for the lead. Yes there's a 1% chance he misses the chip shot, but you have your timeouts. Baker gets the ball with one timeout and 20 seconds left.

Too bad the odds of a beat reporter getting a straight answer from the Texans braintrust on the bad clock management are somewhere between zilch and nada.
