Chatman is one of the more athletic guys on the line, probably top 3. He’s in his third year. He has played quite a bit in mop up duty. He has faced some of the best pass rushers in the country all year long. I could think of shittier situations. Is plugging him in at LT your best five though?

I’ve already told you why he isn’t really an option right now, apparently.

OK CTJ - time to save your bullets and begin drafting your Mudhole Manifesto for those Jort wearing, couch burning, swing state aggy morons over the weekend.

No mudhole coming for the opener, probably.

Shaw had one that is now very public

I believe Shaw had a knee arthroscopy. Don't know anything about Chatman. Interesting to hear. Interesting in a bad way, but interesting nonetheless.

This guy I used to know named Snosausages was Major's weed dealer in college. csb

Everyone who lived in Austin from 1998-2002 has a story like this. Apparently, he lived in my orthodontist's basement for a while.

Opener shmopener. Big game for a big season. The anticipation is palpable for too many reasons to mention here.

You said probably. Hope remains.

That's...not really how brains work, particularly not mine. I don't have hundreds of his comments in my head. But I've got enough of a learned sense over time that when I see one of his comments, I go "OH fucking shit, this moron's done it again." It's a learned familiarity. Kind of the same way human beings have evolved to instinctively know to jump back from snakes. It doesn't mean I know how many snakes I've seen.

14 or 15 for me. Snakes suck.

So we are rolling into OSU with a patchwork O line and a backfield that’s green and coming off major injuries. Holy shit

I mean.... we're probably replacing one starter on the OL and we have the SEC's only returning 1000 yard back at RB.

Sounds like OSU -2.5 is easy money then

If I read the ESPN site correctly, the line is down to -2. I have to think that smart money is going to bet heavy for OSU sooner or later if we are really limping into the game without any tackles.

Who’s getting that start though? If Chatman can’t go, do you slide Baker to the left side and start the freshman on the right side? Can Cole play tackle? You could start Robertson at C. Those combos might be good enough to win. Arch’s legs will prevent their front from pinning their ears back. I still think we beat their ass. Notre Dame & Ohio State dealt with similar problems prior to the season last season and look where they ended up. I think Notre Dame started a freshman guard and LT vs Aggie.

Getting OSU -1.5 on Draftkings despite Goosby being out

Well Goosby being out for the game doesn’t appear to be anywhere near public, if true.

Haven't you ever been talking to someone who says they're a big Texas football fan and realize pretty quickly into the conversation that the two of you have different understandings of what that actually means?

I'm willing to wager sometime this season, at a networking event, bar before a game or somewhere the following will occur.

"Oh I'm a huge XYZ college team fan. Grew up with the sport."

"Oh, XYZ huh? I was kind suprised when Playa Juan jumped to ABC team in the portal. Was that an purely NIL greed on Juan's part or did your coaches encourage it?"

A) Playa Juan?

B) Portal?

C) NIL?

It is crazy how the OSU QB having no experience,  OSU replacing two NFL drafted RB and 8/11 on defense is just completely glossed over yet Texas replacing players is like a complete nuclear meltdown.

Defense travels. Baxter is tired of Mia flexing on him and Arch isn’t a PTSD statue like QE was  in semi final game. LFG.

There are hundreds of topics about which I make people's eyes glaze over. Paleolithic era. Punk rock. The Malazan series. The impact of social media. You name it.

Never have I made more people find somewhere else to be more often more quickly than when NIL gets brought up. People don't realize how much they don't want to know more about NIL more clearly than after starting a conversation with me.

Well, I'm having a bit of a personal nuclear meltdown. Does that count?

It feels like the one position we haven't emphasized enough in my opinion in either recruiting or the portal over the last couple of years (and by that I mean literally THE ONE position) is the position we're getting a series of unfortunate news regarding. I mean, it is what it is. I haven't changed my mind at all about what our defensive front is going to do to their offense. I am getting more concerned about what their defensive front is going to do to our's, however.

It’ll be fine, only one has gone down for the season. By the time we head to Gainsville, we’ll have four legitimate tackle options. Considering no one else goes down. That’s more than most programs I’d say. Notre Dame went into Aggy last year with a freshman guard at left tackle and another freshman playing right next to him at LG. Texas can scheme around one backup. It might be ugly, but I suspect both offenses will look ugly next Saturday.
