I hope you're right and PK just left of his own accord, but when someone at that level leaves on their own, they usually make an announcement and public doesn't find out from the university that they were just 'not retained'. Who knows ...

Yeah, I agree. I really hope we didn't actually fire him. He wouldn't deserve that. Given how, uh, reserved (neurodivergent?) PK is, it wouldn't be that surprising if he didn't make the usual announcement.

Maybe PK forced Sark to call those retarded plays in the red zone at Columbus that lost us the game and kept us out of the playoffs.

PK was calling those shitty plays all season ????

Agreed. He don’t deserve to be fired. He’s been the best coach on the team for 2-3 years.

What is the best offense that PK has shut down while at Texas? He’s benefitted from playing many backup QBs.

I appreciated him and think he’s great, but we aren’t taking advantage of our DL with his scheme. That’s a scheme you play when you don’t have our level of talent.

It is shocking but if Muschamp can field a defense like Georgia's I would be gruntled.

PK landing at Oregon sounds plausible.

Did a great job against tOSU this year.

Akina wasn't around for PK's Prevent defense against OU a few years ago that cost us the game.  He was a good D coordinator, but the secondary under his schemes has been pretty awful no matter who the secondary coach has been. They got a few picks against an inept Marcel Reed but against almost every other team his Zones and Prevents were feasting ground for other team's QB's.  It is a weird move but I don't hate getting Muschamp back either.

On the bright side, at least security blanket Nansen wasn't promoted to full DC...

That's actually pretty surprising

Lateral move at best unless Muschamp can help coach the OL

Not every coach who gets fired now is because they were having sex with an assistant.

Every coach who gets fired now goes home and is like, "honey, I have good news and bad news..."

Why the hell was pk fired and that bum flood still has a job.  We are so cooked its not even funny.  Well enjoyed the run while it lasted.  Im sure the reboot of muschamp will go as well as the akina reboot

Oh you think that our defense after the Kentucky game was acceptable? We looked like shit in every game after that (sans aggy and well, that's aggy for you).

My speculation is that Sark wasn’t pleased with how weak our pass defense has been 4 out the 5 years PL has been here and wanted to upgrade.

You can call it a weakness or a double edge sword for PK, but he is pliable. He is very open to suggestions and works well with people. When the chemistry is right, it is extremely effective. There are times when that also bites him in the ass. Akna and the Florida game come to mind.

Saban said as much in the playoffs last season.  He said that at some point UT would have to play some man on D and be aggressive.  PK was a “bend don’t break” DC.  That doesn’t fit well with Sark’s finesse O.  Sark’s O did better with Saban style D.  That seems to be what he wants.

People need to see this for what it is. It gives us insurance if Sark ever leaves and Muschamp is a tough fucking dude. He will instill discipline in this team. The defense was ass my dude for every game after Kentucky and dont forget the Florida abortion.

Sark is getting lazy on the defensive hires.  "Coach at UT?  Then you are in!"

He should fire that shit OC who forced his offense on Arch earlier this year and the guy who couldn't punch it in with a championship on the line last year.

I don't think this goes well.  Will has fuck you money and has watch Kirby on what it takes to win as a head coach.

No, it’s not awesome, it’s fucking embarrassing.  It was embarrassing everytime it happened here before.
You think it’s great to see that clown for the LSU WBB team make an ass of herself on the bench?  Goes for any coach that wants to act like a dickhead they need to keep it in the locker room.

Wholeheartedly disagree. Get ready.

Gideon isn't taking a demotion to come back to Texas, at least it makes no sense career wise to do so.

Co-DC and DBs coach. Make him a promise he’s DC when/if BOOM takes a job. You get continuity.

He was fucking Co-DC at Georgia for two years (2023-2024). He moved back to being an analyst this season.
