Bobby continues to be the best in the biz.

I'd argue Gerry Hamilton, but since Gerry hitched his wagon to Bobby's a long time ago, that makes Bobby the best by extension.

He’s got no idea what’s coming. How many of us have been a part of M&A in some form? He has no clue and he’s projecting. I am loving this. It’s hilarious. Nahlin is completely unsophisticated on these matters and Ketchum is probably even more clueless.

What advantage would it be to rivals to try to merge the site?  It’s not like there’s some level of explosive growth possible with this model- it’s a niche thing. If you have two of the most successful sites in each of the respective networks I don’t see any particular reason that they’d mess with that.
That being said I’m sure he’s been told nothings going to change (which is always the message day 1 of an acquisition) until everything ultimately changes, sometimes gradually sometimes all at once.
If I was rivals I wouldn’t mess with either site though. You saw what happened to Shaggy with the lawsuit- the message there is not exactly the same (they have paid writers we didn’t) but similar enough to argue not to change anything, and that is the community is the product.

Bobby should try and poach Scruggs from 247.

It's probably better for the recruiting world as a whole to not have every good journalist in one company. Competition makes things better.

Sounds like IT would just have their recruiting people like Wells moved to OB (or let go) and OB would exclusively do HS recruiting talk? Then IT would exclusively do longhorn team and CFB talk?

Otherwise I don't understand how this "Rivals will do recruiting and ON3 will do college sports" thing will work.

CJ, Gerry, Bobby, and now Howe already repeat themselves and each other constantly trying to fill time when news is slow. Why would anyone else need to be added for more redundancy?

Yeah, monopolies are historically great for consumers.

Also, this is more a problem with the podcast / YT show format than the market being saturated.

From having done a lot of private equity and M&A. This increases revenue which means lending at a 4x to 12x depending on assets. EBITDA margins probably stayed flat. Changes will be made and expect firings.

Nothing's gonna change. Except for the half of you that will get laid off. And the other half of you will be expected to do the jobs of the people that have been laid off.

But other than that, nothing's gonna change.

So true, Sir.  When you look at, how do they increase profits? It's a completely tapped market. I wouldn't invest in it. Eliminate jobs, I'd retire at least 50% day one, restructure debt, then assess.

OK so who's funny and would be a good writer for surly of the people that are possibly going to be fired?

No idea who employees Graham Hamilton but I'd let him go nuts on writing about Aggie.  It's hilarious.

Here's the interview test.

Have them write a few pieces and show them to that goober who keeps writing those retarded Fyre fest 2 posts for months now.

Anyone he likes is automatically eliminated

Scipio was far more fun back in the hornfans days when his contributions didn't result in a cascade of obsequious responses.  That said, he's got a strong voice and it'd be good for clicks.

I don't think satya is a meth'd out former attorney who was sucking dick in parking lots for rock.

What I'm saying is I don't think Satya is a drug addict. If anything, considering all he contributes to this board, he's just a giver.

Somewhat amazingly, Bean continues to retain/maintain his law license.  https://www.texasbar.com/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Find_A_Lawyer&template=/Customsource/MemberDirectory/MemberDirectoryDetail.cfm&ContactID=315152

I believe Andy Staples said that break down mostly relates to the national accounts. Recruiting will come from Rivals, college coverage will come from On3, but the individual team sites will continue to cover it all.

Something like that from his podcast this week.
