To say the TPPF is trash....is one of the great understatements of the century.  I have additional reasons that I won't share here.  But suffice it to say, your local used car dealer/snake oil emporium is more honest and honorable.

Also, he most certainly said the quiet part out loud -- Texas is "us," and "us" does NOT include hispanics.  Even though we're nearly 40% of the state population.....we just don't count.  I mean, it's JUST hispanics and old people dying.....

The GOP is a death cult.  Being a racist death cult is just a chef's kiss of perfection.

Don’t worry guys, it’s just old people (our biggest constituency) and Hispanics (who we need or else we can’t survive the next decade as a viable party) who are dying.

TPPF has managed to escape the hatefest that Empower Texans got last month but they’re working on correcting that.

Love Scott Braddock. he captures the Txlege attention more than most. Used to always trigger Jonathan Strickland and Jeff Leach the most

I also love this type of non-apology:

Quote

It’s been brought to my attention that the gif may have been perceived as insensitive. I apologize as that was not my intention.

I'm sorry that my characterization of people who collectively make up the majority of Texas are effectively non-people who we shouldn't worry about, and the hispanics in particular are all effectively foreign nationals and not real Texans.....was "perceived" as insensitive.

Saying "perceived" shifts all responsibility on to the other parties, and takes it all off of you -- "hey, sorry you PERCEIVED it that way" -- that's a non-apology.  That's because....and here's the key....he's not fucking sorry....and he still fucking means it.  If COVID just results in killing a shitload of hispanic Texans, THAT'S A WIN.  Few "real Texans" will die -- just a buncha beaners!

THIS IS HOW THEY REALLY THINK AND FEEL.  WHEN SOMEONE TELLS YOU WHO THEY ARE, BELIEVE THEM.

I think this goes here. Governor Stitt(head) has been fighting the Indian tribes over gaming and was told repeatedly he'd lose. The republican attorney general told him he was wrong and withdrew from negotiations. When the tribes sued Stitt, the AG refused to defend him. Governor goes on and enters into new compacts with some smaller tribes which he was told were illegal. The republican leaders in our legislature told him he was wrong and sued him. The AG again refused to defend him. So he hires his own lawyers at taxpayer expense and racks up $1.5 million in fees and loses both cases. How many times does someone need to be told they are wrong to just fucking accept it and to do the right thing? I swear, this is trumpism. This all started when Stitt issued a dumb editorial to the Oklahoma that the tribes should be paying like half of their profits to the state despite the long term compacts. He was told he was wrong, and of course like trump and his minions just can't ever reevaluate and do the right thing. Just stick to your wrongness to the end. I'm sure he'll be claiming soon a conspiracy against him like his hero dear leader. And its already known he's an anti-masker who of course attended the dud rally in Tulsa without a mask and then later caught the 'rona himself. Oh, and he also purchased $2 million worth of hydroxychloroquine with taxpayer money when dear leader was promoting it in March. It never ends with this fuckhead. I just can't anymore.

Losing Streak: Oklahoma’s Tribes Win the Gaming Battle Against Governor Stitt

July 30, 2020

by Louis Fowler

Even though Governor Kevin Stitt claims to have some Native blood in him, he seemingly has it out for the Indigenous people of Oklahoma, with his attack on Oklahoma’s Native-owned casinos his most devious attempt yet. But, with all the judgments against him from the Supreme Courts to the Supreme Being, it seems that all his hate is working against him lately.

This week, the Indigenous people of Oklahoma were given yet another win against him, this time in the form of a ruling on the controversial tribal gaming compacts. In a long-standing deal with Oklahoma, Native tribes pay the state over $140 million dollars a year in gaming exclusivity fees, something that Stitt and his cronies thought should be more. A lot more.

Using well over $1.5 million dollars of our state’s money to fight the tribes and this honorable agreement, the courts effectively told Stitt to go to Hell in another landmark decision stating that the compacts automatically renewed this January when no new agreements with the state were reached. I guess someone should have explained “automatically renew” to Stitt.

“This is a strong affirmation of what we have known all along,” Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton said in response to the verdict. “The plain language of the compact stated that it renewed on January 1, 2020. We are grateful this issue has been resolved and are ready to put it behind us. We look forward to continuing to serve our tribal members by providing health care, education and jobs in the communities where we live and work.”

The main criticism I’ve heard from supporters of Stitt and his anti-Indian antics is that the tribes earn over $4.5 billion in revenue from gaming and, with that much revenue, they can afford a couple more million dollars to spare—which is rich considering how much land the government has stolen from original owners of this state. You’re lucky we’re giving you what we’re giving you, Stitt.

And besides…is it really our fault if many Oklahomans like to gamble their paychecks away?

Money earned by the casinos goes into each and every tribe and rightfully supports tribal members when our own government wouldn’t. From gym shoes when I was in middle school to the health care that is currently keeping me alive, I’m living proof of where all those slot machine dollars go, as are thousands of Oklahoma Natives.

But, still, Stitt seems to have a vendetta against the Indigenous people of this land, people that he claims to be a part of. If he doesn’t spend more of our tax-dollars attempting to find some loopholes around this decision, I’m sure he’ll figure out some other intrusive ways to screw over the Natives of Oklahoma, all in the name of pathetic payback.

And I’m sure we’ll beat him down again, unless the Creator does it first with the Covid-19…but I’m sure some hydroxychloroquine will clear that right up.

No, he lost in the Libertarian primary, receiving a whopping 664 votes.  I'm sure that would be higher after the netflix show.

People tend to get conservative in the voting booth, so the Republican Party will be just fine. Predictions of its demise are amusing, but hardly rooted in reality.

They have lost my sons and most of their friends. Kids are not racist pieces of shit like older generations. The current GOP is for the old and the dim and the gullible and the deplorable.

And one issue abortion tards.

If the play the same tune the GOP will be swept away in a wave of Hispanic and suburban and younger voters. Trump Republicanism is dead. I know many 2016 Trump voters who are voting for 2020 Biden.

I do not know even one 2016 Hillary voter who is voting Trump. You guys?

The United States is currently a failed society because of one thing and one thing only, the Republican Party and the people who support it.

Without the Republican Party this country would currently be the greatest in history. Instead it’s the richest country in history yet still managed to create a failed society.

Nixon to Reagan to Newt to Moscow Mitch to Trump. Its been a slow burn, but we’ve reached peak hell thanks to the republicans and their nihilistic vision.

Welcome to the republican vision of the world. How ya liking it?

Yes.  One of the more important issues of 2020.

https://tulsaworld.com/news/local/government-and-politics/state-rep-sean-roberts-threatens-tax-penalties-if-oklahoma-city-thunder-kneel-during-national-anthem/article_5aba0669-1ff0-5ccd-9aeb-af147fe53c50.html

Quote

An Oklahoma state representative is threatening to examine the Oklahoma City Thunder’s tax benefits should any players kneel during the national anthem prior to NBA games in Orlando.

Rep. Sean Roberts R-Hominy, said in statement released Friday that he considered kneeling as an “anti-patriotic act” and shows “disrespect to the American flag and all it stands for,” and if any of the players kneel, he would take a look at tax benefits the team receives from the state.

Quote

“If the Oklahoma City Thunder leadership and players follow the current trend of the NBA by kneeling during the national anthem prior to Saturday’s game, perhaps we need to re-examine the significant tax benefits the State of Oklahoma granted the Oklahoma City Thunder organization when they came to Oklahoma. Through the Quality Jobs Act, the Thunder is still under contract to receive these tax breaks from our state until 2024,” Roberts said in the statement.

Quote

Roberts also has issue with the Black Lives Matter movement, which he says “ties to Marxism.”
