  1. Incorrect. MCAS didn’t kill two planes worth of people. Pilots failing to react to an inadvertent nose down pitch input correctly as per their MEMORY ITEMS, killed two planes worth of people. Someone so panicked that they didn’t even attempt to do something that they are supposed to do by rote with no hesitation isn’t going to look at their instrumentation, interpolate an AOA indication and then save the plane. We’ll find out about the Ethiopian crash, but supposedly the Lion Air crew spent 17 seoconds screaming and pulling against the control column instead of doing the one thing that they are supposed to do to stop erroneous pitch inputs in a 737. Pilot error, followed by faulty AOA sensor, followed by shitty training and maintenance would come before MCAS as proximate cause. But the general public is shitting themselves over something they don’t understand stoked by media outlets that couldn’t differentiate between a greyhound bus and a Boeing. Tell me, how many of you are gnashing your teeth every day over the rash of fume events happening in airliners today that are hospitalizing and killing crew and pax? What’s that? You don’t know anything about it? Hmmm. How many of you are losing their minds over the fact that the average Pratt and Whitney 1100B geared turbofan engine had a life expectancy of 600 hours under the wing of an airliner until very recently, and that P/W was paying through the nose to make airlines whole for their grounded airplanes? I can name an airline that’s had to replace 50+ of these motors at P/W’s expense because the motors kept eating thenselves until recently. Oh, you didn’t? How many of you still don’t understand that an Airbus will react in the same way given faulty AOA information, and will require the pilots to disable systems to correct a pitch down as well? Air France killed a boatload of people in one shot due to similar pilot error and yet their is no worldwide panic over low speed/AOA protections in Normal Law or ADR failur procedures. There certainly isn’t a grounding of airplanes. Or how about this. How many people have died worldwide due to driver error, poor maintenance or failure to understand the very basic systems in the exact make and model of car that you drive daily since the Lion Air crash? And you didn’t give two thoughts about crawling into it today. Fly the f’’ing airplane. Trim the f’ing airplane. Know your memory items and limitations cold. Hand fly the airplane often. And maybe don’t be overly surprised when Arfrica’s premier airline staffed by a young Captain and 200 hour FO digs a hole because they didn’t do the above.

  2. Remember when people were saying "The good muslims need to hold accountable the imams and the mosques where these terrorists are becoming radicalized!" in the early 2000s? Well, "the good conservatives need to hold accountable the extremists that are radicalizing these alt-right domestic white male terrorists"

  4. I do follow that. Not all muslims are responsible for the Paris attacks....but the ones who happily and purposefully engage in radicalization and demonization of the targets of the attacks damned well bear some responsibility. Not all Trumpkins are responsible for these murders....but the ones who happily and purposefully engage in radicalization and demonization of the targets of the attacks damned well bear some responsibility. You don't get to sow the seeds of hate, fervently water and fertilize them, and then disclaim responsibility when they predictably and inevitably grow to bear their bloody fruit. When you call a people "semiliterate monkeys," and people are listening, some of them will take your dehumanization of people to heart, and act on it. When you blanket-refer to a people as "murderers and rapists," that isn't intended to, nor does it, inspire affection of those people. It is intended to and does inspire contempt and loathing. Which paves the road to violence. If you demonize and dehumanize a people enough, people will hear you and act on it. It worked when the nazis did it. It worked when various muslim radicals have done it in recent years. It's working when the new tide of white nationalists are doing it. It is proven and predictable. Rhetoric matters. Radicalization matters. You are GODDAMNED WELL RESPONSIBLE FOR MORE THAN JUST YOUR ACTIONS -- you live in a fucking community, you selfish asshole.

  5. Since Trump has been President, I've watched torchlight Nazis chant "JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US" and get no condemnation, and seen 11 of my people get murdered in their place of worship on American soil. But sure, the location of the fucking Israeli embassy will be what moves the needle. Fucking dumbass.

  6. Crazy is going to crazy, people trying make these things political are full of shit. And yes save it for the cloakroom. No party has any part of any of the shit like this it’s crazy people, this blaming any crime on a party because of their political stance is bs. Everyone has different views but we don’t kill people for not liking our views. If you ask me we need a third party now that thinks normal cause this shit has gone Way too right and left too the extreme of views on either side and all they care about is proving the other wrong now.

  7. I'm pretty sure I know the answer but how the fuck can he be so callous about trying to stir up identity politics bullshit like this on a day such as this?!? Talk about "total disrespect." I never want to be lectured again by a "conservative" about how the left likes to play up racial resentment or whatever. This is just disgusting and really reveals what a complete piece of shit Trump is.

  11. The shooter is not insane. He's evil. This applies to this guy, Anders Breivik, the Paris shooters, and any number of others like them. Every one of those people was radicalized. First, the "other" (to that person) was demonized, then dehumanized. Once you think of the entire class of the "other" as evil and sub-human, then you've paved a smooth road for a violent response. Many people are susceptible to being goaded to go down that road. Sometimes, they shoot up Parisian nightclubs. Other times, they shoot up mosques. The human psychology involved is 100% identical. It's not about the underlying politics, or religion. It is how those are USED to radicalize. Dehumanize, demonize.....then kill. This is why people have been sounding the alarm when we see and read rhetoric - regularly, and in the mainstream -- that does just that. One of the highest-rated shows on Fox News is hosted by a man who called iraqis "semiliterate primitive monkeys." Dude. That's dehumanization 101. Our sitting president leads off with his reference to Mexicans as "murderers and rapists." The "thought leaders" spewing their filth regularly say the same about anyone from the arab or muslim world, or anyone from latin america. Dehumanization and demonization are tools of arson. Eventually, they succeed in creating a fire that kills people. There are plenty of ways to talk about immigration that don't have to devolve into dehumanization. But very few people seem interested in having that conversation. And those who have happily traded in dangerous rhetoric are now trying to run away from taking any responsibility for their recklessness. Nope. Own it. Watch it. If you are a muslim radical leader condemning the jews over and over again, you damned well have responsibility when someone watching all of your videos goes out and attacks an israeli bus, or a synagogue. If you are spewing white nationalist demonization of the brown people, and about how their mere presence is an assault on our civilization, you damned well bear responsibility. Sane, evil people do predictably horrible things when they are spurred on to do them by dangerous and hateful rhetoric. We should stop the hateful rhetoric.

Second, do a little googling. Finally, that source has an account on fucking Gab. You just used a literal fake news, propaganda twitter account as proof of your false premise that democrats are making up and twisting facts about other democrats. You’re trash.

  15. Riley is a head coach who might have won the national championship in 2017 if he'd had an even average defense to combine with his explosive offense led by a Heisman QB. So for 2018 he rolled out an explosive offense led by a Heisman QB and an even worse defense than the previous year. They're not offensive coordinators anymore. Judge them accordingly.

Maxout UTD full ride this summer and next summer. 5. Get in to Cockrell. 6. Take the minimum load the first 2 semesters. 7. Takes 5 years, but you saved $50k.

  27. 11/25/2016 - Ironic Nazis Are Still Nazis If you were ever, or still are, someone who looked at ANTIFA and thought/said, "Hey, stop with the punching! Free speech and equal time!" (which is most of you) then you either WERE part of the problem or you ARE part of the problem still. Yes, the manifesto is a troll. That is absolutely true. That's how fascists work. Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past. - Jean Paul Sartre (Michael Scott) There are a hundred purposes in the manifesto. The shooter was not radicalized by a black woman who is an obvious alt-light grifter (Candace Owens). He says he was because he hates black people and wants to make her suffer. He knows the libs will pounce on her and make her life even worse than it is (and deservedly so, because she's terrible and deserves all of this). He doesn't like her, because she's black and she isn't a full-on white nationalist. He is trying to radicalize her and those who follow her. But here's the thing: It doesn't matter. If someone is adjacent to Nazis, they are to be treated as a Nazi. The fact that Candace Owens could even plausibly be linked to this guy is her own fault and the fact that it's even confusing is evidence that she, and everyone like her, needs to be destroyed. There can be no fuzzy grey area for Nazis to play around in. All Nazis and all of their friends (which includes the people who fight the anti-fascists) need to get smashed.

  29. The normalization of hateful rhetoric from the conservative right is causing more and more individuals to become radicalized. I think if it’s not stopped the bigots will become more organized and more mainstream and then really bad things are going to happen. And this country’s current leaders will do nothing to stop it because the movement serves their political purposes and their lust for power and wealth. Whenever a conservative white male goes on a rampage, the right wingers just point at an Antifa member punching a Nazi or some college students shouting down a bigot, shrug their shoulders, and say both sides are violent. And they do nothing.
