Listen fuckface, everyone who reads this board with any consistency knows how you feel about the situation. You don’t have to chime in on every conversation which may slightly oppose your view of where the program is headed. You’re like a constant migraine to every rational member of the board and there’s no medicine anyone can take to get rid of you.21 points

So, we blame Hillary Clinton for the idiots that wanted to believe she sold our urananium, killed a guy, ransacked her own foundation, was personally responsible for the deaths in Benghazi, and had a debilitating brain disease? Blame her for the idiots that embraced the current criminal in the White House? Let's not forget in all of this focus on Trump that the profound problem here is the electorate. That problem remains after Trump is gone. They've hitched their cars to the hate engine. They'll be provided with many false reasons to hate whoever the GOP wants them to hate. Hillary was just target of opportunity. See GOP outlets propaganda about AOC and her freshmen colleagues. See GOP campaign to denounce John Kerry's war record in favor of a guy who couldn't even show up for the National Guard. Or just turn on FOX and Limbaugh. Trump is a symptom. The shining bubo on a hill. The plague is the poison happily consumed by the electorate.13 points

So if Herman hires Ash then Herman sucks for hiring his buddy who sucks. But if Ash becomes DC for tOSU then Herman sucks for not hiring Ash right away because obviously Ash is awesome if tOSU wants him. Do I have that right?13 points

This is the perfect encapsulation of Trumpist thinking. For years, these same people told us character matters, decency matters, “family values” matter, the sanctity and dignity of the office matter....etc ad infinitum. Now, they are perfectly fine with it, because “all politicians do it.” How much y’all wanna bet that the next time a dem is in the White House, the trumpists will re-discover their “values,” and will have hours of taking heads condemning a POTUS who said “damn,” because swearing is beneath the office? Trumpists have no values or standards. They only ever cited them to give cover to the only thing they really feel: hate, anger, contempt, racism, and cruelty. This is what they are. They are nothing other than that.11 points

Well first of all, the fact that they used the Sandler version of The Longest Yard means that whoever made that graphic should be shot in the face. As for your question, my favorite football movie is my copy of the 1/4/2006 Rose Bowl.11 points

Ok so I visited with a few folks on the defensive staff today and they don't have a clue who is going to be hired to be the DC. They are just trying to keep their heads down, recruit hard, and coach up the team for the bowl game. They don't think any offers have gone out yet on the DC job but they doubt it will be Ash. That's all I got today. It's kind of an awkward conversation when they night be losing their job. They did say that recruiting was going well.10 points

I don't get a lol out that at all. They should be immediately kicked out of West Point for flashing white power hand signs instead of infiltrating our armed forces with their sick ideology.9 points

I just cannot endorse a football playoff without committees and judges and agendas balancing out the wins and losses which is too simplistic and lacks sufficient controversy.8 points

I think that's right, but the Bobby Jack Wright promotion to DC gives it a run for the money.7 points

Jeez the Ash bashing is so stupid. None of you dipshits really know whether he’s good or not so quit acting like you do.7 points

I'm driving to work. I'm stopped at a stop sign to turn left onto a two-lane, one-way road. Two bro's in a new Dodge Charger small dick mobile are across from me, with their turn signal on, indicating they will be turning right onto the same two-lane road. One lane for them to turn into, one lane for me to turn into, no problem. Both lanes are clear at the same time, we both start to go. However, despite their signal, they go straight, at the same time I'm turning in front of them. We both stop, collision avoided, no big deal. I wave and start to drive off since I'm blocking them but they aren't blocking me. Bro in passenger seat gets out of car, screaming at me to "STOP!!" and stands in front of me so I can't go. I start to go around him, and he goes full Hulk smash road rage on my hood. At this point we are blocking both lanes of the two way. Driver gets out, comes over and sticks his head through the open window of my passenger door and starts yelling some shit at me, reaching through the window like he's going to grab me or something. If I were a hothead who carried a gun, that mother fucker would have been deader than fried chicken at this point. However... what both these idiots don't realize is that waiting behind them is a sheriff's deputy. He blares his siren and through the loudspeaker and yells "Get back in your car and pull over!". He gets out, gun drawn. They get back in, and pull over; I pull over also. Over the loudspeaker, deputy tells us to remain in our vehicles. After a few minutes when DPS back up arrives, both of those wastes of resources are cuffed and stuffed. Turns out, I personally know the DPS trooper who takes my info-- he's a neighbor who I occasionally see and talk to walking the dogs. .He says "You are free to go Mr. Drifter. I'll be in contact." As I'm driving off, I see their car getting tossed. Just thought I'd share6 points

Many think Ash is a bad hire not due to his qualifications instead because it is a comfort hire for our coach and allows him to not grow into being a successful manager / CEO. Herman has shown he is a bad manger in my view for the following reasons: 1) He took over offensive game planning in year one and did it for two more years even though he did not want too instead of addressing the issue Many first time managers fail since their first reaction to problems is to take it over all themselves. Why? They are a great worker bee but lack people management problem solving skills. 2) Good managers figure out what problems exist and what resources are needed to solve them and go get what is needed Herman could sense there was a people skills problem on offense but was to busy doing the work instead of finding the right folks to solve his deficiency 3) Good managers immerse themselves enough in what their staff is doing to understand if tasks are being done well but not enough to micro manage Orlando was having major problems and I suspect he was telling Tom how he would solve them but Tom did not immerse himself enough to know if he was being snowed or the person just had no idea how to address the atrocities that were occurring. 4) Good managers are pro-active Herman has shown to be reactive he is only switching staff once he lost. Hell Meh should have been gone the week after the Oklahoma game. So Herman may only be reactive once he is forced to be reactive which is even worse. This is the most worrisome of them all. Reactive folks rarely become proactive folks. Ash is a way for Herman to fall back into his routine. Tom basically will say to himself, I know the guy therefore I can trust the guy and I do not have to immerse myself in understanding what he is doing right and what he is doing wrong. Maybe CDC is helping Tom keep his eye on the ball because CDC sure comes across as a guy that knows how to delegate and challenge his staff to bring him solutions. P.S. I am sure that folks that have to hire good managers and lead them will probably recognize even more issues and maybe some bullshit in my observations but these are my $0.02.6 points

You asked what the arguments are. I gave you some. Not really interested in debating them individually with you... just pointing out that there are plenty of things someone who wanted to sell the program could say. Some whiny fan on the internet is seeing things only through an emotional lens is going to poke holes regardless. It’s on this site every day. While it’s somewhat understandable, constantly spewing negativity like all is lost isn’t helping.6 points

I've taken kids, youth, dads, old men, girls and even a gentleman that was deaf. However, today was the first time I've ever had a person that was wheelchair bound. Luckily I could pull the Rhino right up to the water and they loaded him in a jon boat. Totted him over to what we call the small blind where they got him out of the boat and into a chair right up against the front rail. This gentleman is a cousin of a couple of boys that help with brushing up the blinds that get to come out in exchange for their work and that their dad isn't into hunting. Since the first work day this year they have asked several times if it would be okay to bring their cousin out to hunt while he was in town for Christmas. They were certainly pumped about getting to show the place off that they put work into. I was worried that with the full moon there weren't going to be a lot of ducks, which there weren't as many as I hope. Luckily there were enough for consistent action and they ended up with 23.5 points

Literally no one protesting in front of the WH, but I suppose their new fence out front does a lot to deter dissent. That said, it says a lot about our country that no one is protesting while a president is actively being impeached. Couldn’t do the same at the WH without capitol police running me off, but there was another opportunity down the street.4 points

Well, you seem sad, so just to provide you with some arguments that someone who doesn’t give up so easily might use: It makes no sense to disregard the non-football selling points, those are part of the decision. This list would be way longer... This staff is entering the 4th year, stats and draft history beyond that is irrelevant. No person has even had the opportunity to be recruited by Herman’s staff, developed for 4 years, and drafted. Mack Browns last years left the program with insufficient talent and then we had two coaching changes in 4 years and who knows how many coordinator changes. Chuck Strong was the worst coach in school history. None of those factors tell us anything about how this staff can develop players. Yancy McKnight is showing physical development results, which are measurable. Texas will always be a big name program, which provides ample opportunities to showcase your talent. The road to a national title is theoretically easier from the Big 12. The program is stocked with highly rated recruiting classes, so there is talent around you. You won’t have to do it all yourself and iron sharpens iron. However, some positions are thin, there are opportunities for playing time. Texas has the resources to hire the best coaches and resources to promote your development. you can be part of the legacy team that helps the program turn the corner state pride and help us show that Texas HS football has the best players In 2018, we won the Sugar Bowl. This year we’ve been plagued by injuries. The program is generally on an upward trend. We feel our coaching can be improved, so we’re making changes at coordinators and some position coaches to go hire the best. sure some programs are already functioning at a higher level, but they can only play so many people at once. Smaller schools don’t maximize your exposure4 points

Dearest mother — These are truly trying times. So many horses have perished at the hands of our enemy that the men have decided to vanquish their starvation by consuming them. Mother, horse meat is not appetizing whilst slathered only in Squirrel Oil. Tarnashions! If only someone had the resolve to assist our culinary dilemma. I hear tell the men of the A1 regimen are feverishly working to assist our taste buds, but I fear it will be too late. I look forward to better days on the farm. — Andrew4 points

10yo is going to 6th grade/junior high next year. Wife makes comment that it's going to be a pain in the ass to go to lunch with the kids because 9yo will still be in elementary school. I let her know she shouldn't be going to junior high with the kid in junior as people will make fun of him. She argues and argues about kids aren't mean, they wouldn't do that, other mothers go there, etc. etc. Fast forward to this week and she's talking to a neighbor who has a kid at the junior high. Asks about going to lunch to see her kid. Neighbor laughs at wife and says "I wouldn't ever go to eat with them, they'd be made fun of by all of the other kids forever if I did that" Why the fuck do women believe a stranger over their husband? What really drives me nuts is when it's something I have more knowledge than the average person like setting up a website or fixing a computer. Her: The homeless guy said my computer is probably running slow because I have a virus! Me: No, it's because you have 100 tabs open in chrome and it's using all the memory on your laptop. get laptop, show task manager, show her she's using all the memory. Her: That can't be it. Can you scan for viruses? me: ok I go reboot computer and hand it back her: OMG it's so much faster, did you find a virus? me: uh, yeah4 points

For me, it's the climax in Unforgiven. The dialogue, the gun play, the deliberate buildup, and so much tension. Unlike most shootouts, I truly had no idea who would remain standing. "I was building a house."4 points
