Denver Harris canceled his OV to A&M per 247. Down to Texas and Bama. Been trending that way for a while now.13 points

Yes, but do you have any idea how much they spent on tax attorneys and creative accountants to achieve paying no taxes? These are jobs creators.11 points

It’s been my understanding that masks’ primary benefit are to prevent the wearer from spreading the germs…not to keep the wearer from getting sick…since oh, about the first time I put one on. That’s why surgeons wear masks, to keep from spreading diseases to a vulnerable patient. If you are not a drooling moron you can see instantly why this is important and why people should wear one and how it helps you. Unfortunately, health authorities have to dumb that message down to “masks keep you safe” because so many people are actually got damn toddlers who are not cognitively capable of grasping anything beyond “immediate consequences to me.”10 points

They didn't lose the Shuttle Motion Base simulator, they just ran out of climate-controlled storage space.9 points

So ... when the Space Shuttle program wrapped up, there was a distribution of program artifacts to various museums across the country. Of course, aggy-being-aggy, they lobbied *HARD* to get something to show how connected they were to the space program. They were granted a pretty substantial allocation by being given the Shuttle Motion Base simulator (a full six-degree-of-freedom simulator used throughout the entire program). This was a BIG DEAL and had aggy actually done something with it, it would've been a fairly big feather in their Texum Bulldogs cap. However - the only way to describe what actually happened is "aggy". It was delivered to CS in 2012 and promptly sat in boxes gathering dust for almost a decade - for at least awhile in non-climate-controlled buildings. It even has an entry on aggypedia where they claimed "lack of funds", even though they had been required to show they had full funding for displaying this artifact before they were granted award of it. WELL! FINALLY! A group in Houston has raised private funds and saved this incredible piece of Shuttle crew training history and is in the process of having it returned it to Houston. The first shipment is being unboxed now (literally this week) and will be set up in the Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington AFB at some point in the near future (LSFM is about 15 minutes away from JSC). Had aggy not fucked it up so badly, this could've been a major attraction *YEARS* ago. Now, some old friends (including a number of volunteers who used to actually work daily with the simulators) are unboxing to see what damage has been done by aggy negligence.9 points

America 2021 doesn’t deserve a Fauci. I am dead serious. If you want to play Monday Morning QB, ok. If you want to say that in the face of a world historic pandemic he made some mistakes OK. If you want to say he was too naive with the Chinese and that he didn’t grasp how politicized their science is, Ok. You’re much dumber than him and less accomplished but fair enough, But if you’re out here pushing MALICIOUSNESS to this guy, then have a damn seat. Fauci is a product of an America where intent mattered, where we asked people to rake risks in service of a bigger ideal, where we believed we could find answers even as we made mistakes, and where we looked at the whole big messy world and said “we can make this better.” And even when we stepped on our own dicks, we at least tried. The pissants and sycophants attacking him are the products of an America where the only thing that matters is my next CC purchase and the right to tell my neighbor who looks different that I hate him. An America where the only freedom that matters is the freedom to be a dickhead. Where being an ignorant dickhead is the dream. /rantover8 points

Won't someone please think of the 600k dead americans businesses? Like human life, they are gone forever and nothing will never ever take their place. All of those mourning families business owners, greiving the loss of their loved ones artisan candle shops/tattoo shops/salons. If only we could have had someone like Dan Patrick in charge to keep those businesses humming along, keeping us from being temporarily inconvenienced at the minor expense of dead people who will be dead forever, never to return. Like my dear grandpa always said "I'd sooner die than not be able to get my hair cut at the local Cost Cutters and eat my Chili's baby back ribs IN the restaurant rather than taking them home. Give me dine-in or give me death". That was his creed.8 points

Im nobody. Ive been around for 20 years but havent tried to cultivate any kind of online character. I post if I have thoughts that I havent seen posted. I dont care if you remember that the same guy has thoughts in the Fort Worth thread or wherever else on here You are the worst poster on this site. You offer nothing but lame trolling attempts that sidetrack whichever thread the board is unlucky enough to have you follow. EG this current attempt to "gotcha" me about Jatavion Sanders playing time, like the 12 total tackles he accumulated his senior year negate the point that the dude has shown zero interest in playing defense or being the dominant pass rusher people here have projected him to be. Do you feel like your bringing real value to this discussion? No, you're just being a fucking cocksucker. Unless you're like actually mentally slow or something in which case I apologize for engaging you.8 points

If only we had had a leader, like an elected president who wasn’t a lying, incompetent narcissistic shitbag, we might not be having this conversation. This is like watching children who shit their pants and smeared it on their faces complain about someone farting on the other side of the room. For gods sake, have some dignity. Or sanity, even!7 points

We also need to get to the bottom of why Dr. Fauci said things in his emails that he was also willing to say publicly in front of cameras.6 points

I'd like a massive federal investigation into Trump's historic and intentional mishandling of the virus once he and his people knew about it. If you want a tangential investigation into Fauci's decisions then go for it. The rage you Trumpkin's have against Fauci seems inverse to your absence of rage about Trump and his apologists.6 points

This is the defining statement on Herman. I've paid attention to football longer than I would like to admit, and I've never seen a coach who was at war against their own success more than Tom.6 points

Maryland 247 mod "Source confirms there is no way around the 25-signee limit when it comes to adding another player (Alabama transfer Keilan Robinson). Unless he wants to walk-on, he's not coming. Too bad, because he's a talent and Locks recruited him to Bama."6 points

I do want to take a second to thank Donkey for being a (most of the time) good faith poster. He actually advances some conversations in here, unlike the majority of right wing trolls and/or morons on this site. It’s not that hard when you argue in good faith.6 points

I'm back in Texas, which means I'm back with this pair of Partscasters I documented building on the old site several years ago. Dougo's favorites! The Strat is OK, but that Telecaster is really something else. Nice feeling neck, bigsby, and the 51NoCaster pickups sound fantastic Im always tempted to take it home with me, but then I'm always so happy to have it when I'm here - at home I'd likely have a Gretsch in my hands instead. Ive probably written a 8 or 9 riffs/songs on it when here and I think i just came up with another this morning. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk6 points

It's funny that posters continue to argue if a position group doesn't have an established all-conference level player at 3rd & 4th on the depth chart that means depth is a huge problem. And it can be fixed by simply adding a big time transfer who's happy to come and be the "in case of emergency" 3rd stringer.6 points

i appreciate your response here...i understand the point you're making and in a way i agree with you. i often - i mean really often - look at my friends that are extremely religious and i envy them greatly, as they do not seem to have a care in the world. i mean, i'm sure they do...but they are definitely not engaged by the monumental happenings in the world that impact others' lives so significantly. just to keep it here... voter suppression, police militarization and use of force, mass shootings, etc... they are aware of these things, but, as you say, those are things 'of this world' and that's a shame, let's say a prayer about it, pour another glass of wine and do the next chapter in our bible study... i just think that's a copout. i find it 'simple minded', not in being stupid or uneducated, just in not engaging deeply about the human condition and being motivated to respond, etc. everybody's mind works differently...and i actually have these friends because there was a period in my life when i tried, for years, to get my mind in that state. church, bible study, small groups, etc...for many years...i envied the simplicity and ease with which some people looked at life. i wanted that badly. but i finally realized i was the odd one out in these settings, i wasnt 'getting' it, i just couldn't relate to the vast majority of the people i encountered...i wanted to, so badly...but i constantly felt like an interloper. the only way i can really state it is...i found the majority 'simple minded' (again, i am not saying they were stupid). i've often described it as someone just floating through life, la-de-da. and i envy that to this day. i fully acknowledge i would probably be a much 'happier' person if i could just get there...and when my heart is breaking over a terrible injustice, when i am moved to tears by empathy for others...yes, i still often think 'my god i wish i could just coast through this life and not care so much!' i really do. but it is not me. i have this brain that engages in critical thinking and deep thought, that reacts emotionally to vast events well beyond my circles of control, power, and influence. i could, if i were so inclined, even say God made me this way. following that...he's the one that put us all here. it seems quite the waste to just look beyond the human experience to only focus on what's next. i guess i'm saying i envy you your ability to not be bothered or 'not care less' about others thoughts or feelings bc it makes you happier, but that is just anathema to me.6 points

I love the fact that A&M is experiencing their 3rd renaissance under Dumbo after RC and Johnny Football and are still considered equal to our "no longer relevant" football team that hasn't done anything aside from win a Sugar Bowl in over a decade. Aggy will always be aggy no matter how hard Finebaum sucks them off.6 points

Dude, this: "Fauci wrote: "Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection." "The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you." Is exactly what I fucking said. Masks have more potential to protect others from the wearer than protecting the wearer from others. Fauci was saying that masks don't provide great protection for the wearer. And it is entirely consistent with the messaging he did early. He told people that most masks weren't great at protecting them (the wearer). That was and is the truth. What he should have said at the time is that masks may protect others if your sick. But, again, in February and March, we didn't have enough masks for our medical professionals, so he was avoiding encouraging people to buy them. Once we had enough masks, the messaging started to change. It wasn't perfect, but it was the evil plot that you've portrayed.6 points

Ok, I’m gonna try this: You’re being lied to. I am completely in favor of a massive investigation into COVID, where it came from and how we screwed up. Yeah, even to look into lab origin. But you are being peddled a bunch of NewsMax Cinematic Universe horseshit on this narrative of “Fauci was funneling money to CHINA to make a VIRUS that ESCAPED and then tired to COVERUP.” I am sorry, there’s no other way to say it to you. Serious question, did you have any idea what ACE2 receptors were till Fox News started pushing this story? Had you even seen the acronym? I sure as shit didn’t. Maybe, just maybe, the partisan media isn’t the place to debate what research was and wasn’t good.5 points

I still get ragey when thinking about how little we ran quick run plays up the A and B gaps against OU in 2019. We didn’t make them pay for all their stunts until RoJo busted that 50 yarder in the second half and even then we hardly ever went back to it. Just complete and utter stupidity form Herman and Hand especially considering KSU had already modeled the game plan for us weeks before.5 points

LBJ’s politics should be mocked though, in the same way that so much of what he does should be mocked (and I think I’m probably about equal to you in being a Lebron defender). He does so much good for the community (just like he’s so amazing at basketball) but the hypocrisy on the China thing was beyond absurd. He gets to say whatever he wants (intentionally) regardless of if it costs the league money, but he berated Morey for more or less thoughtlessly/unintentionally doing the same. His hypocrisy bugs people and causes them/allows them to ignore all the vast good he does, just like the drama of it all associates with his play on the court causes people to overlook how amazing he is. I think it’s stupid people can’t see past that and consider- he’s a pretty decent human and an incredible player that has some traits that really grate (but then again who doesn’t), but it is what it is and people really don’t like hypocrisy. I think Lebron is 10 times the human that MJ is, but he’s so Millenial and that just drives the Xers nuts. I like millennials and think they are great while continuously rolling my eyes at them when they go overboard. I think the guys heart is in the right place he’s just really self absorbed about what he’s into and can’t see beyond that. Jordon was essentially a sociopath programmed to embarrass and destroy. People dig that more than hypocrisy or whining even though it’s way uglier.5 points
