Can we add a "most ignored" category? I think it would be funny if you're in the top 10% of ignored users instead of a "tree fiddy" label you get something like "loser" or "spreader of misinformation" or some shit. people should be warned18 points

Let's look at this a little bit more objectively... A group of people used force to climb fences designed to warn them and keep them out of a secured facility. When this group encountered barricades manned by security personnel, staffed there in order to keep them out of this secured facility, they attacked the barricades and the security staff who were there to enforce the security of the secure building. The group then bypassed the officials in place to enforce the security of the secured building with violent means, use of brute force, and makeshift weapons. This group then physically breaks the doors and windows designed to keep uninvited people out, through physical force and use of tools (an enhancement in normal breaking and entering cases, and moreso in home invasion cases, as well as bank jobs and heists...) and gain access to the secured facility. The group also then act in a physically threatening manner to staff charged with the security, and make vocal threats to the staff inside the secured facility. The group consists several physical assaults and batteries of said security staff, as well as commit felony murder (a charge that makes everyone involved a murderer) Some of the group then accesses an area that is secured within the secured facility (enhanced security) and then proceeds to assault that portion of the building, threatening both verbally, and physically the protectees of the secured facility and also assaulting and causing physical harm to the staff of the secured facility, and then FINALLY one of the officers in charge of the security of the facility discharged one round into one of the people that passed all of those warnings, barriers, staff, in multiple layers of concentric security, and kills one of the group that is spearheading the attack on his protectees... I'm fairly certain you can all see the conclusion coming... but this person spearheading the break into YET ANOTHER layer of security gets shot ans killed, and we are to somehow think that person is a martyr? And we are to somehow think that this person was not guilty of several incidences of crimes that a reasonable person could, and probably should kill that person, and they're a martyr? I mean, let's just break this down into the objective facts. From what I've learned from this board over the decade I've been in it is that any Texan would've killed as many as he could've and rightfully so. It's not even in the same stratosphere as the BLM protests, riots, break-ins, whatever you want to call those acts of riotous vandalism that they did on empty, vacated, places of business. Fuck that dumb cunt. They'd have all been subject to death in righteously shot in most states by any home or business owner, and 100% subject to legal shooting in any other armed secured building in any state. Fucking complete idiotic privilege in full force. In fact, most of them would be facing life in any other state case in which the state prosecuted this group, and possible capital punishment in a number of states.16 points

The Athletic - Texas high school coaches get real on recruiting: College coaches they trust, Horns vs. Aggies and who’s invading the state it's long but an interesting read for sure. Texas bits: tl;dr: Everyone loves Chris (Gilbert) /// tl;dr: Tom Herman is a massive asshole "With the new staff at Texas, I don’t know that there’s a huge difference (between A&M and Texas). With the last staff, there was an arrogance. When Tom Herman came in the office, I gave him a prospect sheet and he sat down and he’s got his legs crossed like he’s running stuff. Then he leaves and the same prospect sheet is still sitting there. He just left it there, didn’t even take it with him. Stuff like that pissed me off." full:13 points

And it’s not just that they’re traitors, their cause for said treason is completely illusory. When the South seceded, we could at least understand why they did it. It was completely monstrous, morally reprehensible, yada yada yada, but at least it was something real. Slavery was a real thing and they had justifiable fears that it, as a legally covered institution, was coming to an end if they remained in the US. This shit? It was never real. None of it. This shit was about a stolen election that was never stolen, a conspiracy between parties that never conspired with each other, a crime family that committed no crime…and somehow Hugo fucking Chavez was dragged into this. It was all a matter of make believe and pretend. And they had been told it…for two fucking months they had been told it. But they ignored the actual evidence and rotted their feeble brains with Fox News, OAN, Newsmax, Trump’s embarrassing, language mangling pressers, et al and convinced themselves to believe that the election was rigged. Lawsuit after lawsuit was tossed on grounds of ridiculousness, and they still believed it. Why? Because to people like Ashli Babbitt, hanging onto the belief is more important than accepting the reality. There’s nothing admirable about that, which means there’s nothing admirable about her even being there. As to her getting killed? Yeah I know that’s not what the virgin ears here want to hear, but play stupid games, win stupid prizes.12 points

You really can’t have any half measures here. They could topple the government but they have to go all out. The moment there is a back down it breaks, the government rounds everyone up and it’s a firing squad. Our founding fathers understood this well. We all stand together or hang apart. that was a 33/33/33 type of thing which I assume isn’t too far off from where they are. If the people that want change are resolute they will get it. If not they will be disappeared soon. God bless them and good luck. Mans natural state of longing Is for liberty.11 points

I have good news. My brother did get vaccinated. Of course, he only got the J&J shot. And he got it because my mom finally found her voice to tell him that it was important to her that he get it. She has been letting everyone walk all over her. Because she forced the issue, my dad is now making sure all the people that work for him are vaccinated as well. I like to think the pep talk I had with her, saying it is her house too, and if she doesn't want unvaccinated people in her house, she has EVERY right to demand they be vaccinated, even if my dad is unwilling to force the issue, worked. Looks like she found her backbone. To be fair, my mom is the nicest person on the planet. Even if she HATES someone, she won't speak ill of them. But that also means, she rarely takes up for herself. I am probably the only person she will, but I am willing to goad her into it. She needs to learn to be more assertive. Maybe at just under 71, that lesson has hit home.10 points

The vast majority of the now # whatever wave we are now seeing in an outpatient setting are unvaccinated and mostly youngerish (< 60) people. The vaccinated breakthrough cases on those fully vaccinated tend to be mild and are usually a result of some young unvaccinated person significantly exposing the vaccinated person (same house, long car trip, summer camp, etc.). We have yet to see a reinfection in an immunocompetent person who has both been infected previously and subsequently immunized. Still not seeing second infections at a significant rate which is odd since supposedly the vaccine gives better immunity. Just anecdotal experience but our outpatient trends tend to preceded and reflect the official numbers.9 points

I’ve seen nothing to indicate IBRX’s science doesn’t work. I’m all in, have been all in, and shall remain all in. In two years when the stock is north of $100/shr, we’ll select a bar in Austin and have it closed one evening for a Surly private party with an open bar. Tab’s on me. If It hits earlier, we party earlier. I remain bullish on UUUU & AMYZF as well. When AMYZF goes north of $15/shr, same thing applies. When UUUU goes north of $50, again, drinks are on me. I believe those PT’s can be had. Holding 27,800 shares of IBRX @ $9.77, 25,000 shares of UUUU @ $5.28, & 150,000 shares of AMYZF @ .85.8 points

In those places you listed, media usually had somebody to hide behind, but nobody has anybody to hide behind here. Plus, in some of those circumstances, both sides saw the media as a very useful tool. Here, the non-state media is a threat to the government. They arrested a popular YouTube personality live on the air while she was giving an interview to some European station. They beat the shit out of an AP photographer in broad daylight. More importantly, it was easy to get into those places for the most part. You can't easily get into Cuba these days, and this happened so fast that only folks who were already there, are there . Most of the world's media outlets probably had no presence there, because of the other 11 months out of the year, it's fairly boring news-wise. CNN has somebody there, but he's definitely being very careful what he says. He's normally providing content for the CNN Spanish-language stuff, not reporting on a potential revolution.7 points

Ketch isn't shy about the money he's made, at least from what I recall. Orangeblood's pull is all the off topic stuff. Even there most ardent defenders admit the content sucks. Ketch drives click bait by being a liberal in a sea of conservatives. He's good at making money.7 points

I cannot believe that a single person could struggle with this. Ten men before Trump lost re-election bids, and not once was there a full on riot/insurrection attempt by partisans of the losing side during the lame duck period. Why? Probably had something to do with the fact that neither John Adams, nor his son, nor Van Buren, Cleveland, Harrison, Taft, Hoover, Ford, Carter, nor Bush called the results "fake news." They didn't allege that the votes were rigged in favor of the opponent, they didn't refuse to concede defeat, and they didn't invite thousands of protesters to the front of the White House for purposes of marching on the capitol during the reading of the fucking electoral results. That formula of not doing any of those things seemed to work in terms of peaceful transition, but when you're dealing with someone that has a massive inferiority complex and an incurable case of narcissistic personality disorder, awful things can happen...especially if your electoral base happens to constitute hyper-religious nuts, paranoid conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, and the dumbest among the electorate.7 points
