  1. Okay, grab some popcorn and your beverage of choice. Hunter is a cop wannabe. He participated in the local youth police explorer group in high school. And then proceeded to impersonate a law enforcement officer multiple times. He was charged and did some kind of plea to a lesser charge and because he was 17 years old, if he kept his nose clean he would be eligible to have the charges expunged. His election was last year and the councilman he challenged had been on the council for 10-12 years. That councilman voted yes on the first city mask mandate. Pepper ran against that and played up the whole “We need new blood! Vote out the establishment!” message. Not long before the election, someone alerted the local paper to check out his Facebook history - particularly his posts on BLM protests and his posts about running them over with a front loader and then using a gun to finish the job. We have a Black police chief. And it’s well known that the police HATE him for his antics in impersonating law enforcement. So, Pepper came out and publicly accused the Black police chief of of being a “BLM sleeper agent” and leaking the tip about his shitty Facebook posts. The combination of “NO MASK! MUH FREEDOM!” and the vote out the old farts attitude and being anti-BLM and going after the “woke” police chief made him irresistible to the local MAGA morons. Only 980 people voted. And now that he’s on the council, he claim to fame? Constantly going after the only Black councilman. I can’t say anything about his current hospital stay. Let’s just say, hypothetically, a teenage councilman tried to big shot his way into special treatment. Hypothetically, lots of people that work there may be doing something like -

  4. Well fortunately for you and me it has nothing to do with us. Her parents voted for it. People who don't give a shit about how hateful policies affect other people because it doesn't affect them personally need those things to affect them personally. If her parents wanted her to visit then they could not vote for the policies she hates. Everyone has a different line where politics will affect family relationships. Penelope's is somewhere on this side of forcing teenage incestuous rape victims to carry their pregnancies to term.

  5. I'm not sure how any ex-Horn can dislike Brian Jones. He is still a 100% Longhorn homer, but it doesn't blind him. I look forward to every interview he does on Austin local radio, and I love watching him on TV.

  9. You covered pretty much everything except one aspect. That aspect is that rich, sinister corporate power doesn't want us to know about the effectiveness of the alternative remedy that is Ivermectin. Because if there's one thing the Republican Party hates, it's big corporate power running amok. The GOP has always hated it when massive corporations corner markets and stifle competition and operate in ways that are lavishly beneficial to the few to the detriment of the many. They hate domineering financial power and have always done everything they can to curtail corporations from running wild. Because the Republican Party, as we all know, always wants what's best for the little guy. And they've never taken money from the evil and seductive power of Big Pharma. Only the communist democrats get that money. Never them. So in this instance, pharmaceutical companies are bullying the small mom and pop shop who makes Ivermectin -- a tiny, little wholesome company that is new and just trying to make their way by providing a product that helps all of us. Ivermectin is made by a tiny, little outfit called Merck. They're a new kid on the block trying to navigate through the unfair, monopolistic powers of the old guard. Merck has only been around since 1890. They only make about 51 to $53 billion dollars a year. And when I say they're a wholesome local group, technically they're a multinational pharmaceutical company dominating global markets. But let's not get bogged down in the details. Big pharma is trying to destroy Merck, who is ... well, also big pharma, but let's not quibble over semantics.

  12. Brian Jones was allowed to wear #60 when he was at UT, and was apparently the only Longhorn looking to fight Miami at some dinner before the Cotton Bowl in 91. He earned the right to call out shit if he wants. Damn him for being right this time. Lol

  14. This long ago transcended “voting differently than I do.” Embracing a cult of purposeful cruelty and infliction of pain on “the other” is inexcusable. It’s not a political party - it’s an anti-democratic fascist movement that champions white supremacy and actively tried to overthrow our government and has declared its intention to keep doing so. Someday, perhaps some Trumpkins will realize how far they went, and what it cost them. I’m sure there were some beloved parents and grandparents whose decent kids cut ties with them because they supported those national socialists who just wanted to make Germany great again, too. Fuck em. Fuck em all. We’ve cut ties with my FIL, a racist Trumpkin. And our entire family is better for it.

  17. https://patch.com/florida/southtampa/fauci-critic-hillsborough-county-gop-officials-dies-covid-19 "ER and ICU doctors are criminals and murderers," Kimball posted on his Facebook page. "They intubate everyone and stick them on a ventilator for no reason, just 'out of precaution' as the doctor told me — without consent from the family. Tampa General Hospital is evil." --- Prentice was a software engineer who developed and maintained the software that the Hillsborough County GOP began using a year ago to track donations. He was also responsible for submitting the organization's monthly electronic finance reports to the Federal Elections Commission. His death has left the GOP unable to access its donation accounts. In a letter to the elections commission Tuesday, party leaders said they are struggling to retrieve the account information that must be submitted to the commission by Sept. 20.

My dad is a one issue voter (Gun Rights) and my mom used to vote D, but has been a straight R voter since W. If they care to see me, they know where I am.

  26. Proud T-shirt fan here, but I'll tell you my story. Some background first: I'm from the RGV. Both of my parents went to Pan American University as it was known back then. My dad says he was a UT fan back then, but he was much more a Cowboys fan, so we grew up watching the Cowboys moreso than the Longhorns. My Mom's family however....puro Aggies. Yup, you read that right, all Maroon and White. My grandfather was a farmer and my uncle, wanting to follow in the family business, decided to go to A&M to pursue agriculture. While there, he walked onto the football team and was a member of that 12th man kickoff team of all walk-ons. He was on that cover of Sports Illustrated and everything. So, Mom's family, all Aggies. There are even baby pictures of me in A&M gear (vomit). I remember having a bumper sticker above my bedroom window that read "aTm Gig 'em Aggies!" and thinking every night as my elementary school self went to sleep: "What the fuck is Gig em and what in the everliving fuck is an Aggie?!" I was very confused. Anyway, as I got a little bit older and more interested in sports, I started watching games on my own. Cowboys, Spurs, Astros, Braves, whatever I could find. Scrolling through the channels on New Year's Day, I happen to come across none other than the 2003 Cotton Bowl Classic. Texas vs LSU. I knew enough at this time to know that both teams were good and it would probably be a fun game to watch. Rooting for my home state Longhorns, I couldn't get enough. 4 catches, 142 yards, and 2 Roy Williams touchdowns later, the burgeoning WR in me had a new favorite player, a new favorite team, and Burnt Orange blood running through these veins. Haven't worn Maroon since. A few years later, my older brother was accepted to and attended our state flagship. Went to my first game as a high school sophomore, where I begged my parents to get us tickets for the Alamo Bowl. Went to my first game at DKR as a high school senior on a school trip fully funded by UT (vs. Rice coincidentally) where, after the game, we had a "lock-in" in Gregory Gym. When it came my turn to go to college, although I was accepted to UT (and still have that acceptance letter), I stayed home to attend my parents alma mater, then known as UTPA (hey, I was still in the system and we didn't have a football team, so I could continue to root for whoever I damn well pleased). It was cheaper and I had a guaranteed path to a top Texas medical school through a pre-acceptance program at UTPA. Needless to say, I continued to bear my "T-shirt fan" status with pride. Didn't get a chance to make it back for a game pretty much throughout all of college and med school. Finally got back to a game when I drove up to LA when I was living in San Diego to watch us take on USC a few years ago. To this day, I try to make it back to town for at least one game with my family each year (pre-COVID). And now, my friends, now, you know the rest of the story. Hook Em 🤘🏽

  31. Not sure where to put this, but I figured I would put it here. So my kid plays volleyball. My wife thought it would be a good idea for them to watch the big girls play. So since UT is playing Rice here in Houston, she went to the coach and set it up so instead of practice they would go as a team to the game. She calls Rice and sets everything up. Goes into the coaches office and the coach tells her everyone looks like they are good to go except Susan(fake name), because her mom is an Aggy and refuses to allow her to attend a UT game.
