Who wants a national championship when you can get $150 a month delivered to you in a Whataburger bag by a guy who looks like he just escaped from a mental institution?62 points

It's a funny post, but it also reminds me of something else absurd - what the fuck does Georgia get to claim as it pertains to championships across sports, including football? They haven't won a CFB title in 41 years and I think that's the only legitimate one. They have 2 Heisman winners, one from the 40's. Their other programs, at least the money ones, are largely trash as well. Lot of similarities between ATM and Georgia when it comes to actual hardware. When people start reaching for shit like "there's been a lot of positivity" and "this is not about the final score" regarding recruiting and visits, it's ... not so good. I wasn't necessarily thinking that ATM's class was going to fall apart or anything, but with takes like those above from people covering the program, I'm starting to wonder. That's pure spin from them, and they're leveraging the most redass recruits to get there, even. Fisher was telling guys out on his ranch this summer that they already had commitments from Nolan Smith, Brenan Thompson, Dindy, and a bunch of others. He was doing this as a way of arguing for inevitable momentum to the class, that they were going to finish #1 or #2 in the rankings, that they were going to beat Bama and they were going to the playoffs. They've been pointing towards this recruiting weekend as THE weekend since last spring. If Alabama does fully embarrass these guys this weekend, especially if Texas beats OU on the same day, man, we might overdose on this board.19 points

This doesn't make any sense on a number of levels. First, there were never 72 volumes of the Dragon Ball/DBZ manga. Nor have there been 72 volumes of Dragon Ball Super. (Also, they're called "volumes," not "editions.") Second, why is his head black but the rest of his body is chalk-ass white? That doesn't make any sense, and he's obviously not wearing a full body suit (you can see his tights under his Frieza-force armor below his waist). Third, who is he supposed to be and what planet is he supposed to be on? The coloring appears to reflect earth, but there were only two instances where Saiyans landed on earth in pods while wearing this old version of the Frieza force armor. First, Nappa and Vegeta (who arrived in East City; not in the middle of nowhere, where this pod is parked). So it can't be them. Second, the Radditz recon mission, but there is a second pod coming through the atmosphere in the background, so it can't be that mission. He's also obviously not supposed to be Vegeta, because that dude's tiny. That means he's almost certainly on Namek (although the color is fucked up) and is actually a member of the Ginyu Force and not a Saiyan at all. And that makes him a loser. With all that being said, this is a totally badass edit, and I will pay someone $$$ to make an NFT of one for me.11 points

My kids are all quite successful, and they were very clear that neither aggy nor BU were viable options if I were to pay tuition. It’s not about school rivalries. It’s that the culture of those schools is so depraved that I would not, under any circumstances, pay to have my children exposed to that culture or indoctrinated there.10 points

Lt. Frank Drebin: Hector Savage. From Detroit. Ex-boxer. His real name was Joey Chicago. Ed Hocken: Oh, yeah. He fought under the name of Kid Minneapolis. Nordberg: I saw Kid Minneapolis fight once. In Cincinnati. Lt. Frank Drebin: No you're thinking of Kid New York. He fought out of Philly. Ed Hocken: He was killed in the ring in Houston. By Tex Colorado. You know, the Arizona Assassin. Nordberg: Yeah, from Dakota. I don't remember it was North or South. Lt. Frank Drebin: North. South Dakota was his brother. From West Virginia. Ed Hocken: You sure know your boxing. Lt. Frank Drebin: All I know is never bet on the white guy.9 points

I nearly overdosed last weekend. It is all unraveling. Everything they've been peddling turns out to be sheep shit. 2020 was not a breakthrough for Texas A&M Football, it was a meltdown for the rest of their division. Jimbo's offense is not NFL training, it's a Stone Age relic that requires a restrained QB, good RBs, a great TE, and receivers who are content blocking and catching a pass or two a game. Their defense is not dominant, it's slow and average. And The 12th Grackel was the greatest takeaway for the aggy faithful that night. Will Rogers finally met an aggy last Saturday. Turns out, he didn't like him.9 points

Longhorns, kick ou's ass and make 'em like it. Not that it matters, but I posted after a Arky game that ya'll were underestimating your team, that after beating Rice and righting the ship ya'll would beat ou and all would be right with the world again. Hang 50 on them.8 points

Samples isn’t going anywhere. He bought Jerry Jones’ mansion on turtle creek and makes 37 million dollars a year. No one at SMU even knows he works there so he doesn’t bother showing up to work.8 points

Sitting in Denver International next to a sheep humper watching a texags podcast at the bar. Told him best beer is on me so he can get a head start on drowning his sorrows. He did not find it amusing and proceeded to tell me how badly we are going to fare in the SEC. I told him that’s an interesting thought coming from a fanbase that hasn’t competed for a conference championship since the Clinton administration. He stopped talking to me after that [emoji2369] TEXAS8 points

Winfield exiting this class is due to the staff feeling like they are raising the floor on WRs they're taking. -Thompson is in. -There is a building notion that Stewart is coming this way. -Preston's chances of landing in Austin are decent provided that: 1) the dumpster fire continues to burn in Baton Rouge, 2) he is willing to sign on SD1, and 3) Orgeron is still at LSU or his replacement is unclear or weak through the end of the year. -Hudson is going to land wherever Samples does, or something bigger will have to put on the table for Hudson. Either of those outcomes can come from the Texas end. There's growing consensus that whoever lands Samples has a reasonable expectation of closing whoever the fuck they want through a large swath of DFW. -There is also a very high likelihood that Texas is going to do whatever it can to take two impact WRs in the portal on top of wanting to take 4 difference makers, if they can get them, from the HS ranks. The man has a proven affinity for Westcott Eberts and everything that that ratfuck represents, so I'm going to take a shot and say that texifornia lacks a soft spot for ... Texas. Or at least Texas fans. He's all about the tough love for us. Texas needs at least 5 guys that fit what Sarkisian is looking for in addition to the guys they've got on campus that can do more than fog a mirror. Worthy and Whittington are the only guys on the roster that fit the bill right now. Moore is an interim fix at best, Omeire should be completely written off, Alexis is hurt and his outlook is unknown, Cain and Harrison appear to be big time jaggers. Estell, Woodard, Washington, and Dixon will all be moving on as grad transfers, simply graduates, or simply transfers barring something crazy. Why Dixon? No fucking clue what the story is there.8 points

Finally made it to Hurtado’s in Arlington. Was pretty damn good. Got the $40 sampler, got 3 meals out of it. Very good value. The sausage could have been a little better but not bad. Good brisket, very good spare ribs, good burnt ends. The elote and Mac N Cheese were good. Same with the Green beans. Buddy got the Banana pudding and it slammed too. Nice atmosphere.
