What do you get out of this? I keep asking you and you never respond. You intentionally leave out the QB change and make no note of the fact that we were fucking mudholing the same team that "WVU and KSU lost to... by narrower margins." So again, I ask: what do you get out of this? Do you get enjoyment out of this shit? Does constantly playing Debbie Downer and misrepresenting statistics turn you on? I just don't understand how someone can have 10,000 posts about something that they so obviously love to hate.23 points

You look at Oklahoma State over there and it's just all about the tradition of that mullet wearing man who's now well past 40 not being able to beat OU just like we can't.16 points

My personal experience is different. Half my family has been staunchly religious and Republican forever. They rarely, if ever, voted blue, but they understood democracy, and that the country needed to be shared with those that didn’t believe as they do. They were typically good country, church-going folk. Willing to stop and help someone change a tire, or come together to aid someone in their town who was in crisis — regardless of their political or religious affiliation. Then 3 days before the 2016 election, I got included on a group email between them about the importance of the upcoming election. How everyone needed to get out and vote for Trump. That prompted some probing responses by other non-conservative family members and myself as to why. The responses were disturbing. People who I remember as in my original description were angry as fuck. They were talking about America falling apart, whites and Christian values being replaced and an impending civil war. One of them brought up the end times. With one exception, they have grown more radical in their beliefs. These people have been edging on the idea of an armed holy war against their fellow citizens for at least 5 years now. Every time I have to interact with them, it is apparent that they have grown more radical in their beliefs. I finally cut off contact between my kids and their grandmother after she refused to stop showing my kids videos of her pastor talking about the impending apocalypse and the evilness of everything not-Trump. There is no winking and nodding with them. They have been radicalized in their church listening to their pastor, in their car listening to right-wing agitators and at home watching first Fox News and now OAN and Newsmax. They carry propaganda machines in their pockets that they pull out for a hit whenever their apocalypse-high starts to wear off. I am glad your experience is different, but this part of my family was a normal mainstream part of the Republican voting block 6-10 years ago. Now I’m not sure they aren’t domestic terrorists in training. The Republican Party is complicit in this. At the very least, they have accepted the radicalization of white conservatives as a side effect of their Supreme Court power grab. And that’s giving them a benefit of the doubt they lost a long time ago.14 points

Well, if I'm reading that correctly, we can arrest and charge everyone who voted Republican in the 2020 Presidential Election.12 points

I really want to see a press conference that ends with Randolph Duke yelling “Kevin Eltife owes this football program an apology!” like Tom Hagen in Godfather II.12 points

FIF historical reference. It don't make a shit if you like every other ingredient in the recipe. The fact that you are willing to ingest -- and serve up for the rest of the country to ingest -- a recipe that includes naked racism and white supremacy, is fucking abhorrent. You can talk up all the merits in the world of a beef stew recipe with ingredients of beef, carrots, onion, celery, garlic, flour, salt, and pepper.......but when you get to the "oh, and it also has an ounce of strychnine in it," every sane and decent person says "nope, not gonna eat it, not gonna make anyone else eat it." But the GQP supporters say "oh, but we all just wink and smile when they add the strychnine! Don't ditch all those other tasty ingredients just because some idiots like to put strychnine in it!" Fuck. That. Shit. Some things are poison that absolutely, 100% ruin and disqualify the whole stewpot. Naked racism and white supremacy is one of those things. I'd also suggest that a strategy of making sure people can't vote is one of those ingredients. And I'm very comfortable concluding that "repeated open calls for violent insurrection against the US government" is a fucking bucket full of poison that's a complete disqualifier. Pick your poison. But don't deny that the entire pot is tainted.12 points

Steve Scalise, the number two Republican in the house, refused to acknowledge YESTERDAY that the election was fair. It really doesn't matter if every Republican believes in QAnon - their leadership is helping to foment insurrection. Jesus, Slorch, this isn't that hard.11 points

He should blame the defense, call on CDC to fire him and say that Casey played like shit and should do better next time than 388 5TD's and no turnovers.10 points

Wife: I cleared out the vines in the backyard by your wood pile. Me: There’s a reason that I haven’t touched it. That’s poison ivy. Wife: No it isn’t, I know what poison ivy looks like. Me: OK 2 days later:9 points

If you go to the Tex/OU with the expectation of getting concessions during the game you're a dumbass. You get to your seat and stay there yelling your ass off until halftime. Then you can get up up and stretch your legs. If you absolutely can't get through a football game without nachos and an $11 beer, you get a pass out at halftime. You get back to your seat before halftime is over and stay there yelling your ass off until the EOT is played. They shouldn't even sell concessions in the Cotton Bowl. If you can't make it through a football game without stuffing your face or guzzling beer you should just stay home with your fat ass on your couch and watch it on tv. It took me all of 5 minutes to get into the stadium because I planned ahead and got there early. Some of you people should just take a folding chair into the snack section of WalMart and stream the game on your phone there.9 points

This was posted by TFLoss on Hornsports. OrangeBloods caught up with OL Jaylen Early of Duncanville this weekend, and he mentioned he'd take an official visit to Texas if the staff wants to bring him in since he has one remaining.9 points

No reason she lost her life? The reason is that you encouraged her to go there in the first place. YOU are responsible for her death, you lying piece of shit.9 points

Disgusting. And PS - she got “justice”. That’s why she’s dead.9 points

Funny. While sitting there during the game for the 47th time, I was thinking of what a perfect stadium it is. Love the Cotton Bowl. In fact, I miss when they had those metal chairback seats and your knees would bang against the row in front of you. The Texas/ou game should not be comfortable. The crowds, pissing troughs, small seats, inconvenient location are all apart of the charm. Embrace it.9 points

yeah, I'm forcing everyone back to light, dark mode will be available in approximately 5 minutes. Sorry for the fuck up guys I am doing some compliance stuff for california and GDPR since we have decent euro traffic now and I don't want to get fucked. Wasn't expecting a simple change to bork the entire site and theme even after I removed the change. It's fixed now.8 points

complete and utter horseshit. ou qb fumbled the ball deep in their own territory on a scoring drive and it was never reviewed. abc rules expert even confirmed it. pretty critical moment in the game in the fourth quarter as well.8 points

And yet somehow, as NAIU alluded, anti-CRT rhetoric becomes more and more entrenched in GOP messaging. If most white Republicans truly find that to be abhorrent, than why does GOP leadership continue to stoke the CRT panic within its base? The party platform is what it is, and it seems clear this will continue to gain importance as we head into midterms and the '24 election cycles. Modern day political parties are a strange amalgamation of single issue voters. For the GOP, you'll find Bible bangers, gun nuts, prolifers, anti-immigration nuts, people in fear of socialism, etc... Lots of single issue voters that find justification in the entirety of the party platform as long as it protects their devotion to an individual cause. The "I care about low taxes" or "It's my constitutional right to own 37 AR-15's" people better pay attention to all the other evil shit being interwoven into their party's platform. You vote for all of it. You own all of it.8 points

I don't have a problem with him being disciplined or fired over his comments. What I have a problem with is that it took 10 years to do something about it. Whomever at the NFL saw these emails and didn't think any discipline needed to happen and allowed him to be associated with the NFL thru MNF and then as a coach - well they should burn too.7 points

Lol complaining about concessions at a football game is like complaing about sides at a bbq joint. Who fucking cares? its pretty fucking easy. Ive done it 17 straight years. Start to enter the stadium at least 20-25 min before kickoff. If you want concessions, get there even earlier. Its not that fucking hard. Or ya know… you could buy water or beer or food at the fucking fair and eat and drink before. i fucking love that the stadium is built into the ground and there arent “ramps” to go up to get to upper deck seating. Time from inside the gate to my seat was less than 3 min good god some of you are women7 points
