Respectfully, I think your notion of some decent core of GOPs who would love to abandon Trump and return to what GOPs used to be is a romantic delusion. Hell, I even had it myself for quite awhile. The GOP is rotten to the core. Liz Cheney isn't welcome. Think about that. The elected GOPs are okay with Jan 6, Trump, and stifling any attempt to investigate or apply standards to official behavior. Cheney's politics are hardly devoid of hate engine aspects, yet she's too soft. I despise the Dems for knuckling under over the Iraq invasion. That's the kind of disgusting politics you're describing. This Trump business is a whole new animal. You don't destroy your country for political expedience and get a pass until your better side can surface. They are destroying the country. The leadership knows what they're doing and who they serve. Their part of the electorate vote against their interests thinking they're the ones actually saving the country. They're wrong, and it's an objective observation. You write well and are clearly no dummy. If you're a Trumpist, you hide it brilliantly. I just feel like you've been asleep for the the last seven years and woke up unable to digest this totally unpredicted world. It really is as bad as it looks. Responsibility for the rot is not shared equally between the two political sides. One side dedicates itself to wickedness for gain and cruelty for entertainment. It's bad, man. Really bad.22 points

It's honestly absurd how far you guys can go, and how fast, based on virtually no information. 1) The $9.95ers don't exactly have their fingers on the pulse of what's really happening. There are a few who actually do, and they're not going to push anything specific out there because Sarkisian doesn't want it out there and no one besides dipshits like Chip Brown and Geoff Tuboflard want to burn the staff or the boosters who may or may not be relaying info in real time. 2) Ewers should barely be on campus at this point. I know we'd all like for him to have covered himself in glory already, but that has rarely ever been asked of what amounts to a true freshman. Sarkisian's offense isn't exactly basic, so some of this shit takes time. 3) Whoever is relaying that the guy isn't studying the playbook is full of shit. No one involved with the program is saying the guy is having maturity issues. He is young though. 4) While I know texasstrong12 doesn't think Card is a Show Team Hero, plenty of other people think he is. He looks great in the locker room and he can memorize plays like a motherfucker. The only problem for him is when he vaguely hears footsteps, he loses his shit. He knows he isn't get hit in drills. None of this is a secret to anyone. There is a reason you're not seeing numerous on or off the record quotes from players ardently supporting the notion of Card being named the starter.21 points

The charade is up. Neyor needs to crawl over to the UTPD and fess up to his boot problem. It was wrong to pressure Agiye into being the fall guy when it was Neyor who deserved a knee-capping at the hands of the criminal justice system. I am beginning to question the strength of his moral fiber. IMO, he should offer to serve a voluntary one-year suspension in return for reinstating Agiye, effective immediately. Someone please start the petition.17 points

I would like to go on record stating that I for one am not angry, hurt, and greatly embarrassed by it. Rather, I am gleeful, happy, and greatly amused by the events stated.15 points

2022 Fall Camp: Limpin' Bobby: We expect to hear from Steve Sarkisian today after practice. Sark will likely address the injury status of multiple players. One thing he is certain to say is that the next man on the depth chart needs to step up. Because as bad as any injury is, the games must go on. Teams can focus on the past, which they can not control, or they can look to the future and what they can. This Texas team needs to focus on the future. What’s more, they need a quarterback to assert himself as a true No. 1. They need the defensive line to work together and create pressure and the offensive line to gel. Those things, not injuries, need to be the focus of the team and staff as we head into the last two weeks of fall camp. ** Longhorn great Steve Worster passed away on Saturday. One of his backfield mates with the Horns during the 1969 national championship run was Ted Koy. I reached out to Koy on Sunday to send my condolences. Koy wrote something in response that sent chills down my spine. “He gave his best every play,” Koy wrote. Why did it give me chills? If you think about it, is there a better one-line tribute any teammate, any friend, could ever give to another? Steve Worster gave his best every play. RIP.12 points

I can already tell you exactly how the OB scrimmage report will go this upcoming Saturday. -Overall, sources felt this was a cleaner scrimmage than last week. There was a big emphasis on (insert coaching cliche here) -The one turnover of the day belonged to Quinn Ewers (probably against D’Shawn Jamison, but they will say sources felt that both QB’s performed better than last week. Ewers had the play of the day (insert play here). -(Insert some quote about Maalik Murphy physically looking like Jesus) -Will say something about how Bijan barely played by Brooks and Blue had some nice runs. -OL had some good moments but still searching for consistently. They will mention Karic or Jones getting beat and follow it up by mentioning that Kelvin Banks turned water into Gatorade on the sidelines -This bullet point is reserved for when they suck off Tucker-Dorsey -Will say that Overshown had some flash plays and that Ovie had a sack -This bullet point will be for a random backup who had a nice play. Probably J’Mond Tapp, Ethan Burke or Terrance Brooks if I had to guess.12 points

Neither guy looked awful in the spring game. Both made good throws with a few mistakes sprinkled in. If anything, Ewers was probably slightly better. Not sure what spring game you watched.11 points

I agree. Trump didn't just randomly grab up an armful of documents and run out the door. He had a purpose. His every action is self-serving. I think the Saudi money to Kushner and Flynn's earlier attempt to get nuclear secrets to Saudi Arabia is highly suggestive of a deal attractive to Trump. Two billion dollars dwarfs even his mega-effort to drain the MAGA idiots of their last greasy quarter. The intellligence about Macron suggests some sinister plan of revenge against the French president for his disdain of Trump and crushing the Donald's hand before Donald could crush Macron's. Trump is nothing if not petty. Trump is a Russian asset through either kompromat or debt or both. No more needs to be written. He stole with a purpose. He's arrogant and dumb enough to think he can outsmart federal investigators and prosecutors. I am not closed to the idea that his fucking around may indeed lead to finding out.11 points

Card will start against ULM. He’ll play the first half, go 7/12 for 150 yards and 2 TDs. Ewers will play the second half, go 7/10 for 150 yards, a TD and INT. We win 42-13. Card starts against Bama. Goes 3/12 in the first half for 45 yards and 2 turnovers, we’re down 17-3. Ewers comes in, goes 12/18 with 180 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT against the prevent and we lose 38-24. Ewers starts the rest of his career.11 points

KRAMER What did you want to see me about, Mr. Leland? LELAND Kramer, I’ve been reviewing your work. Quite frankly, it stinks. KRAMER Well, I ah.. been havin’ trouble at home and uh.. I mean, ah, you know, I’ll work harder, nights, weekends, whatever it takes. LELAND No, no, I don’t think that’s going to, do it, uh. These reports you handed in. It’s almost as if you have no business training at all. I don’t know what this is supposed to be! KRAMER Well, I’m uh, just–tryin’ to get ahead. LELAND Well, I’m sorry. There’s just no way that we could keep you on. KRAMER I don’t even really work here! LELAND That’s what makes this so difficult.10 points

This. I hate the line of thinking that this was a trial balloon to see how the magats will react. Who gives a fuck what they think or do when the rule of law is followed!? If DOJ does the right thing and we get more Babbits as a result, then that's a win.10 points

Sark really should have gotten a receiver from the portal that wasn’t going to tear his ACL. Clearly a coaching error.10 points
