Tom Penders from the third row, stands up with a handle of vodka in one hand and a desert eagle in the other. He looks down at both, lifts up the Stolichnaya for one last swig, then lifts the gun to Barnes and Shaka as they shake hands and shoots them both in the head, only to turn the gun on himself next. Beard walks out on the court looking up at the student section with a tear in his eyes and simply says....

"Thanks for coming."

I'm going to need more context on Beard's ability to survive a 50-cal round to the head. And yes, out of everything listed, that's what I need clarity on.

Feel like Penders is a .44 guy.

To me he's like the con man who started dating your sister, moved in with her and her kid, got her to ignore the kid, got her to start using again, pilfered her bank account, and then ran his mouth about how she wasn't shit as the police finally escorted him out six years later. so we see things a tad bit differently in this case.

Sounds familiar. Except she's still with him and went from 2 degrees from UT to supporting his broke ass and his 3 previous kids and his pet snake in the garage and his failed slot machine repair business and yeah Trump is gonna fix it all next year when JFK Jr shows back up.

Not me though. I'm full Beard.

There's gotta be a Ted Lasso reference in here too somewhere.

We got fucking booze, guns, fireworks, basketball, Qanon, Monkeys, Cat Killers, vodka, all that shit-yo!

The game this morning gonna be Lit as Fuck!

I think Kentucky or Arizona will get the #1 seed over KU.

The taking heads all seem to think that whoever wins the big 12 (regular season I assume but maybe the tourney serves as a tiebreaker if teams are bunched up) will get a 1 seed on the strength of the conference even with likely more losses than other 1 seed contenders, based on the strength of the conference and likelihood of a slew of good wins to counter the losses.  At least that’s what was presented during the Texas/ku game.

I guess that could change if the entire top of the conference loses 3-4 more, but that seemed to be baked in already.

Both Arizona and Kentucky have higher kenpom rankings with Kentucky having an impressive head to head win against KU. Even though Big 12 is traditionally a strong league but the league lost the SEC-B12 challenge this year and none of the league's best teams are standing out from the pack. I just don't see KU getting the nod over those other teams.

Fair. Especially the head to head if it comes down to ku and uk. I guess you are either assuming Kansas wins the league or are opining on if they do and/or the current mock seeding, but it’s entirely possible that Baylor, Texas tech, or Texas ends up higher seeded than Kansas after these next 2 weeks of games.
and I really think they want to reward the conference’s best team. At least that’s the message that’s been put out there for most of the season.

The idea is that the B12 winner would get a 1 seed as a matter of principle. They wouldn't need to be ahead of all the 2s and 3s in the ratings.

I'm not sure if that's how it would work but that's the argument.

Texas easiest game left may be at West Virginia unless tcu lays another egg against the Horns in Austin.

The game this Tuesday in Norman is HUGE !!!

With that tough schedule left, anyone worried Texas might win only 1 out of their remaining 6 games ??

I'm sure lots of Surly folks will disagree, but I won't be surprised if Texas ends up as a #7 or #8 Seed in the NCAA Tournament...

Guess you're expecting 2-4 for the next 6 games ztejas??  😋

I’m expecting 3, but 2 or 4 wouldn’t surprise me either. Beat TCU, win at least 1 road game between WV/OU/KU, best Tech at home and see what happens at home versus Baylor.

We are way better at home and Tech shoots worse on the road. Also don’t think KU hits 600% of their shots again. That was ridiculous

A lot of games that could go either way -- I would be happy with 2-4 over the next six games especially if Texas BEATS tech...

If McCullar is indeed done, I think Texas wins at home

Crazy day yesterday -- that key Baylor player that hurt his knee looks done for season.

Really hope it's just a short term injury for McCullar... hopefully back soon right @Brian Fantana ??

Maybe...

I'm not worried about predicting 6 games at once. Let's take it game by game because I think they're all winnable. When the dust settles I'm guessing we'll have been on the right side of a few of them.

Rumor was a broken foot but apparently x-rays were negative and it's just a sprain. Who knows how long that means he's out, probably out at least for Baylor on Wednesday.

Maybe just 7-10 days so he misses game against Texas on Feb 19th ?? 😋

No offense but your basketball hot takes have been pretty consistently terrible (and wildly incorrect). I'm pretty certain you were the poster calling us a bubble team like 2 weeks ago which was insane.

Maybe just stick to twitter spamming here or taking the boat out on Lake Travis? Just kidding.

After getting run out of the gym by Baylor, the 'horns dropped in KenPom from #14 to . . . #14.  Oh no!

We are also 15th in NET.  Rest of the schedule:

@ OU - #36
Texas Tech - #12
TCU - #54
@ WV - #70
Baylor - #4
@ KU - #8

4-2 to finish would give us another 3 more Q1 wins and another Q2 win.  Currently 9-7 in Q1 and Q2 wins so we'd end the regular season 13-9 in that metric.

I’ll root hard for 3-3 because that either means we tcb against tcu, ou, and wv, or we knock off at least 1 of tech, baylor or ku.  Anything above that is gravy.

Anywhere from 2-4 to 4-2 wouldn't shock me.  I think we beat TCU and Tech and split the OU/WV road games at a minimum.  Baylor is a bad matchup, period, and Beard has a poor record against Drew.  KU - who knows.  We really had no problems scoring on them.

I expect 2-4 result for Horns over next 6 games, and be would happy with 3-3 or better.  Baylor is a bad matchup for Texas, KU will probably not lose a 4th game in a row to the Horns, and a split on the road vs blOU/wv seems likely.

4-2 would be fantastic. I'd be happy with 3-3. 2-4 would be disappointing.

that would be a 6-3 finishing kick to the toughest schedule in college hoops which would be spectacular.

I think that’s extremely doable

Pulled out a tough road win tonite.

Two more wins and we’re good.

Three more and we’re golden.

Texas is already golden. Two more wins against any of these teams and they're getting a top 6ish seed. Some of ya'll really underestimate how shitty the bubble is.

A 7-11 Big 12 team is making the tournament this year.

Edit: I assume you're talking about the bubble but I guess you could be talking about something else.
