Hopefully we'll see a game similar to the 1991 Cotton Bowl.  I'd love to see the 4Q crowd shots of a three quarters empty stadium. 100,000+ Aggies who overpaid to see their team get shellacked.

Hmm, as a white boy who worked every summer on my uncle's cotton farms chopping (hoeing) cotton, cultivating, spraying johnson grass, prepping the stripper, etc., I always laugh when people want to talk about racial overtones connected to cotton.

There was no racial privilege when it came to working the cotton fields I had to work.  People who have turned cotton farming into a race thing are just morons, in my humble, calloused hands opinion.

The hell kind of farm you working on?  😁

Have they reviewed what Jackie Sheriill and Arceee were paying WR in the 80s and early 90s? I’ll grant that they pretty much ran the ball left and right back then.

I hope they paid the mother-father more than Jimbo.  All other positions are walk on (12th man hurda hurda).  They'll fuck this up just like they always do.

My denist is aggy.  Good dude.  His wife (no pics), also aggy, is our vet.  Anyway, on my first visit, he said he didn't usually work on Longhorn teeth.  I told him it was more difficult because . . . more teeth.

Today, I didn't mention beating them like a drum. I just feigned interest in their playoff prospects.  Told him Miami was a lock and tOSU was totally beatable if things tipped their way.

They're totally losing to Miami.

They do. We’ve talked about this.

It’s funny to hear them bitch about our game this year, makes me smile.

i was at the MSU-Aggie game 10 years or so ago with Aggie friends who invited us.  It was obvious they were piping in crowd noise when MSU was on offense.  MSU was winning pretty big midway through the 4th, the crowd was filing out and the stands were 1/2 full at best yet it sounded like DKR on T+1

Not sure where rules currently stand but at that time it was illegal to crank noise through the PA to disrupt the opposing offense.  Just typical low rent cheating by Aggie to disguise the noise as “crowd noise”

Well unless you're like 175 years old, of course there's no racial privilege NOW about working in a cotton field
But it has historical racial connections

Just out of curiosity, are you implying that no whites picked cotton 175 years ago? Also, fuck picking cotton. We did it for fun one time. I mean, I’d do it if I had to in order to make money or eat.

Y’all realize this is the highest peak the coaster has ever reached, right?  We’re at the precipice. The first few cars are facing down into the abyss, waiting for the center of gravity to pass the apex at approx. 1:00 pm Saturday.

No, poor whites picked cotton too.  And overwhelmingly supported the Civil War too.

I wonder why.

That shit looks fucking miserable. I don’t remember it snowing in 2000.

I had to drive from Beaumont to Paris that night. My car ended up in a ditch about 20 miles from my destination.

Can’t hear Paris, Texas without thinking about Natassya Kinski.

As somebody who grew up in, has spent most of his life in the Golden Triangle, and is back here now

fuck Beaumont. It’s fucking flat and boring. 87 chemical plants. Mosquitos the size of Cessnas. It’s in an arc that has some of the worst weather year round in the US.

if it weren’t for Family, 1701 BBQ, and Redbirds BBQ there would be NOTHING of worth here.

I went to the SMU-Miami game this year.  UM had a sizeable crowd.

And to a person, they reminded me of NFL goon fans.

A few rows in front of me was this guy.  Yes, you are seeing that correctly...he's wearing UM wide receiver gloves.  He was, without a doubt, one of the most absurd fans I think I've ever encountered.  50 something years old and he was acting like a dumbass teenager the whole game.  Total douche, gloves and all.  And yet, I hope he is Collie Station tomorrow, and I hope his team obliterates aggy.

Aggy will be out of the stands by the Q4 , they are going to get rolled.

I wonder if the Blacks working the cotton fields were working their family's farm by choice with expectation the work would end. Did your uncle have the option of raping or beating or killing you or whatever whim swept him up at the moment?

Did your cornball, sanctimoniously calloused hands look like this?

Fuck you for making the comparison and for being obtuse enough to think that cotton's connection to racism is the absurd notion that white people never physically picked cotton.

I doubt that the throwing of cotton at a football game is particularly offensive to Black persons, but that's not for me to determine. If it is, I wouldn't do it. If I suspected it was, I wouldn't do it.

Your uncle should have sat you on his knee to explain that needlessly offending people is a bad thing perpetrated by dickheads.

I look forward to your future findings about the many silly notions of racism.

Do you know Chet Weber? I think his dad had a construction company in Beaumont during the 1960s.
Chet attended St. Edward’s in Austin before transferring to UT in 1966.

Get out of here with your sanctimonious bullshit and missing my point entirely.

The point is...cotton should not be automatically associated with racism, and it's absurd that that's what it has become.  Guess what...just as many tobacco plantations had slave labor, but why don't we automatically associate tobacco with racism?

It's not my fault you are too stupid to understand the point I was making.

No motherfucker, you can fuck right off...especially with this comment:

"Your uncle should have sat you on his knee to explain that needlessly offending people is a bad thing perpetrated by dickheads."

We didn't have time to offend people.  We we were working our asses off in the field sunup to sundown.  Sorry if your pampered life sheltered you from what real, hard-working farming people have to do to survive so you can sit back and accuse us all of being racists.

Seriously, you have no fucking clue.
