Alright.  We've all had time to digest the series now...some of us more than a few times.  What are your nitpicks of the Andor.  I know most are going to say the space "rock, paper scissors" guys, but there was a purpose to that.  The only one I can really think of is the aliens that catch Andor and Melshi in their nets but then just let them go...and then even give them a ride to another planet.  But that is really about it.  Everything else was greatness.

They missed a real opportunity to send Perrin on a pointless side mission to Canto Bight

Yeah, marooned on Yavin was my only nitpick but that was more because it slowed down where I wanted him to be which was to kill the Imperials and protect Brasso, Wilmon, and Bix.

Agree with the rock, paper scissors guys and their purpose but the execution could have been better. I’ll say this show has the luxury of being great on practically every level that the small faults or nitpicks don’t hinder the experience. I guess we could say a fault of the series is what we didn’t get to see from the talented people working on this show because of the need to squeeze it from 5 seasons to only 2 seasons. For as long as I live, I’ll will be wishing we got to see the original horror/Alien like idea of how K-2 and Cassian met. It’s unfortunate the episode had to be scratched for budget reasons but at least we go this epic scene.

ehhhh... I enjoyed Bad Batch a lot, but I don't feel it's a must-watch show the way I do with Rebels or Clone Wars.

Agreed.  It's good for hard core gotta watch it all guys...but not needed.

It makes my head hurt that there are diehard Star Wars fans who have no idea who Ahsoka Tano is.

This is crazy to me...even if you didn't watch Clone Wars it's impossible to miss her completely with social media and such.

I don't know what this really means and where this ranks it in overall viewership but coming in #1 on the finale episodes is pretty good.

And in other news, Tony Gilroy finally is getting the funding he needs to make his next project called Behemoth with Oscar Isaac.

Really is crazy how similar it is

And in the light of Gov Newsom's "You are next!" comments earlier this week, the similarities are even more apt.

What's in the California substrate?

Ahsoka and Thrawn were the best characters in Star Wars before Andor happened.

Both are in Rebels. And the portrayal of Thrawn is perfect there.

The Thrawn books in both legends and Disney canon are pretty good.

well yeah, you got a nebula winning author writing em

Almost all of Zahn's other series are great, too. (Blackcollar is merely okay)

I don’t know if I can get into cartoons.

I'll die fighting on this hill. The last 2 episodes of Clone Wars is the BEST Star Wars content ever put out, including Andor. It was the PERFECT culmination to the entire Clone Wars series. The light saber duel between Ahsoka and Maul shows what a light saber duel should be. Jedi shit is lost in live action; it's clunky and clumsy. The ending with the shot of the helment and the ship hits you in the feels.

The final part of Twilight of the Apprentice(Rebels) is the Gold Standard to me.  Ahsoka and Vader getting some semblance of "closure". Kanan getting his scars.  Ezran finally seeing everything.

But yeah, I think the final 2 episodes of CW was as close to perfection as you could get.

The penultimate episode of Clone Wars, Shattered, is perfection. For as much as everyone talks about the tension and build up in the Gorman Revolution episode in Andor S2, those 3 minutes of zero dialogue with just Kiner's score playing in Shattered are amazing! Just captures everything perfectly, outstanding storytelling.

Those last episodes of CW are the best SW content since ESB. I say that as a huge fan of Andor and Rogue 1.

One little subtle detail lost in a lot of greatness. Nemick gave his manifesto to Vel to give to Cassian. The fact that Partagaz and Lagret are sitting in the ISB boardroom listening to it means Cassa is the one who made sure it got out to the masses.

I thought the ISB got it from Rael's gallery?

Even if they did the chain of custody went through Cassian. Hell he left it in Niamos and picked it up it up along with everything else when he went back after the escape from Narkina. There’s a part in that recovery scene where he accidentally opens it and it starts playing.

Partagaz said during his final scene that the recording is everywhere, even if they're only getting bits and pieces of it

Yeah I thought the rebellion had started playing it in clips to start little fires.

Kinda like Ezra’s hacked broadcast from the empires telecommunication systems on Lothal.(which Tarkin then has destroyed to kill the broadcast).

Put these out across the galaxy

My only nitpick is not getting to see The Ghost landing as Cassian was walking off the landing pad in Yavin.

In the timeline, they're off with Mon near Dantooine. When Rogue One starts, they're on Yavin. You can see it in Rogue One.

I just watched the first episode of Clone Wars and I just don’t think I can do it. That was awful.

I feel like you do. It wasn't for me so I've only watched certain episodes. I did not feel that at all with Rebels. Give it a shot. It's way more OT feeling.

That happened to me the first time I tried to start it. It is a bit of an adjustment, but it does get better, otherwise there wouldn't be so many people recommending it.

Maybe it’s nostalgia for yall? It looks like it came out 17 years ago. I really just think Andor broke Star Wars for me. I don’t want to watch anything  that isn’t “real”. I may give Rebels a try or go back and read which CW episodes are truly can’t miss. I don’t know.

I mean it is old, but quality is quality. And at least for me, it’s another interesting thread in the fabric of SW.

IMO, the tragedy of Anakin’s fall is more powerful from the perspective on Mandalore than what we see in ROTS. Fuckin’ Maul, once again, tells the Jedi exactly what’s going to happen. Ahsoka refuses to believe it until she feels it happen and has the “oh fuck” realization immediately followed by Order 66. I understand Maul’s wanting to piss on Palpatine’s plan to flip Anakin, but he should’ve been smarter to think he could defeat Anakin and Kenobi by himself (when he couldn’t beat Kenobi alone previously and then got beat by Ahsoka). He might more effectively fucked Palpatine by dropping a dime on him to the Jedi sooner, get his revenge on the sith, and still run his pirate game in the Outer Rim. *All this shit you’d know what I was talking about if you’d stoop to “watching a cartoon”*

The first couple seasons of clone wars is a kids show, but there's some real juice there. I'll find a skip list and post it, because there's definitely some stuff better off without lol. But the series brings SO MUCH depth to Anakin's characterization and fall to the dark side during the literal years of war during the Clone Wars.

And honestly, if you don't wanna watch it all you can skip to the last 4 episodes of season 7, which start right at the beginning of ROTS and runs in a parallel timeline THROUGH order 66. There's definitely some spoilers jumping that far ahead, but the animation and production quality would be right at home on the silver screen
