You guys don't seem to get the Klopp/Pep sandbagging stuff with the media. Both guys do it. That said, in no world should Liverpool starting Milner in the back get a win against The T-1000.

They are coaches, they all do it. Just expect us to say something when they sound ridiculous doing so.

wonder if there will be same criticism of Klopp from Liverpool fans for not starting TAA that Southgate got.

that being said, Liverpool got the clean sheet and win with Milner at RB - so hard to say the strategy didnt work.

Gerrard never struck me as a player who would make a good manager after he hung up his boots. Incredibly talented, obviously, but his game was all action and impulse, and he could be incredibly frustrating at times.

He had some success at Rangers but the SPL is probably about his level. Villa was always going to be a big task, with a very talented squad and European ambitions. It'll be interesting to see what his next move is and if/when he manages again.

I wish i understood NBC's TV/ Peacock selection strategy. The two top PL teams are on Peacock this week.

Maybe they are thinking competitive games?

Sat 11 AM slot - I mean Everton-Palace or City-Brighton, I pick City, because watching Haaland score a double hat trick is going to be sweet. But that's also going to be over by the mid point of the first half. Everton-Palace will be the tighter game.

Sun 9 AM slot - Leeds United States of America, because duh. Of the remaining 3, hard call. Wolves-Leicester and Villa-Brentford potentially are competitive, but might also be clunker boring games. Arsenal likely blows the doors off So'ton.

EPL refs are so fucking bad. City should have had a pk and their goal should have been called back for a foul. I guess it evens out, but it's awful to watch.

That looked 50/50 and shoulder to shoulder. I don’t see a clear foul there.

Liverpool kind of fucked those of us in the relegation battle this morning.

what a weird team this year. They kind of remind me of the aggies this year. Every time you think they are left for dead, they beat Bournemouth by 9 and clean sheet City. Every time you think they’ve turned the corner and are back on track, they shit the bed. Bizarre roller coaster, especially with their best player hurt.
