Only thing worse than posters other posters find to be annoying is posters who brag about posting and peer pressure others into ignoring them. It’s beta cuck behavior.

It’s a real shame he’s not gonna see this post.

How is everything you post so fucking stupid? I swear it takes a certain talent that I could never understand. Two of our three quarterbacks were the top QB in their class. Lacy had the second most passing yards in Alabama high school football history. Add a transfer to that and that's a good QB room. You vomit out so much shit on this board and you still don't ever manage to post something intelligent. Not even once. Astounding.

Weren't you told not to speak to me unless spoken to? How are words so hard to comprehend for your sloped skull and vacuous space where gray matter should exist?

Recruiting 2026 class: News and notes from Sark and staff on the road

News and notes from the Texas staff being on the road Thursday and Friday.

Wide receiver recruiting ...
Chris Jackson was by Panther Creek High Thursday to see 4-star++ Oregon verbal Jalen Lott. Texas and Lott have continued to have positive conversations this season. Steve Sarkisian and Jackson followed up by watching Lott play Friday night, as Texas begins the final push. OTF thinks it's at least 50-50 Lott ends up in Austin - as of today.

Texas offered Tennessee wide receiver/athlete commit Legend Bey (Forney, Texas/North Forney) Friday. The 5-10.5, 180-pounder made an official visit to Ohio State last weekend, and Texas is working to get him on campus November 22-23 for the Arkansas game, or the following weekend. Texas loves Bey as an athlete, period. The staff just wants him in the program.

This is not an either or with Lott and Bey. Texas would take both, to be clear.

Houston area DB update ...
Texas corners coach Mark Orphey offered Fort Bend Travis High Josiah Vilmael. The 6-1, 185-pound versatile N/CB with 10.65 100-meter speed backed off his Oklahoma State pledge after the firing of Mike Gundy.

Vilmael told OTF Saturday that he will make an OV to Texas in November, but is unsure of the dat yet. He currently has Houston Nov. 22-23 and Kansas State Nov. 29-30. He's already made in season OV's to Arizona, Baylor and Arizona State.

Texas now has two senior season offers out to defensive backs - Toray Davis and Vilmael.

Defensive line update ...
Steve Sarkisian and Chris Gilbert stopped by Richardson High to see if they could make any inroads with 4-star++ DL and USC pledge Jameion Winfield. This was a last shot attempt to get the 6-foot-3.5, 310-pound wrecking ball on campus prior to signing day the first Wednesday of December. Winfield and family had not been receptive to Kenny Baker and Gilbert to this point this season.

Speaking of Baker, he was in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana late in the week. Texas feels good about holding on to 4-star+ Vodney Cleveland (Birmingham, Ala./Parker) and 4-star Corey Wells (Petal, Miss./High). North Carolina has been attempting to make a big push with Cleveland. Ole Miss and Auburn the same with Wells.

Texas is also evaluating three junior college defensive linemen. And Texas is also evaluating two junior college EDGE's.

November 22-23 visitor list ...
5-star Richard Anderson, DL, New Orleans, La./Edna Karr - *LSU commit (maybe)
Texas was by Edna Karr Friday. A person very close to the recruitment is pushing the 6-3, 245-pounder to make the visit to Texas.

4-star+ Brysten Martinez, OT, Gonzales, La./East Ascension - *LSU commit
Texas had a very successful unofficial visit last weekend, and now are expected to receive and OV. Who and when LSU makes their hire looms large here.

4-star+ Dre Quinn, EDGE, Buford, Ga./High - Ohio State or Texas decision expected by the 6-4, 230-pounder. The Buckeyes may have the slight momentum edge currently.

3-star++ Toray Davis, DB, Boulder, Colo./Fairview - Washington very much in it after a recent OV. November 22-23 will be a first visit to Texas.

Saturday - Two new offers

The Longhorns made two new scholarship offers yesterday.

North Forney athlete Legend Bey, who has been committed to Tennessee since the summer, was offered by receivers coach Chris Jackson and head coach Steve Sarkisian yesterday.

Bey plays quarterback in high school but with 10.6-second 100-meter speed, he likely plays wide receiver in college.

He is one of the state’s most electric players. Texas did not offer earlier in the process because Bey initially wanted to play quarterback. But things appear to have changed.

Bey recently returned from a visit to Ohio State. We’ll see if Bey decides to visit the Longhorns before signing day.

The other offer went to a defensive back in Greater Houston. Josiah Vilmael from Richmond Travis, a 6-1, 185-pound speedster with four interceptions on the season, was offered by Texas yesterday. Vilmael is also considering Kansas State, Houston and others. He ran a 10.66-second 100-meter dash this spring.

Texas continues to evaluate additional prospects not just inside the state but across the country, including several prospects who have committed to other schools whose coaches have been fired or appear to be on the precipice of it.

**

Just a reminder, the Nov. 22 weekend will likely be a big one for the Longhorns, especially for uncommitted players or players who are committed elsewhere.

That’s when Texas will not only try to bring in Bey and Vilmael, but as many as four or five others similarly situated.

It’ll be the recruiting weekend for the late 2026 recruiting cycle.

**

Enjoy the bye weekend.

There's time, but I don't get what the staff is thinking. Our offensive line class has 2 legitimate players and we are looking at one guy who is committed to LSU who is a solid player but is a step down from Roseborough to be frank. We need him but we also need 1 additional difference maker for a solid 4 man class. It doesn't seem like we have nearly enough lines in the water. A bunch of transfers will help, but our coach doesn't like transfer offensive linemen and they are only a temporary fix to what has been and will continue to be a long-term problem.

1.  I think they are planning to grab some guys in the portal

2.  They don’t like what they are seeing for guards among the high school players that have shown interest.

Sure, some will leave and some will stay. That's how competitions works. Bell isn't a sure thing, and neither is Lacey, so again, we're back to square one. We need actual high-level guys to come in and take the job. Lacey was an unranked four-star,  but people are just pencilng him like he's just going to step in and light the world on fire. This is exactly why Sark needs rk find dudes who want competition. If they don't they're pussies. We can't keep going every other year with a new QB. It's just not sustainable for winning.

Why is this difficult to grasp?

Dude, stop.

youre wrong here (at least at this point). Maybe people leave (I’m not talking about Owen’s, he’s gone already)… but the QB room is fine.

more likely to have issues with coach calling plays unsuited to his personnel than we are to have players who don’t pan out.

Aight. I'll stop.

We should be shopping all 4 positions aside from RT imo.

Definitely. A contingency plan for Goosby, Hutson is gone, Campbell is gone, not sure if Cruz will ever play, but I also don't know his learning curve. Robertson seems, from his PFF grade to adequate, but we need a maulers. But even then, we don't know Chatman's return time line, so I think the staff should go for every position on the lo e, regardless.

The tough thing about the OL and the portal, is no matter how talented they are, getting them to gel is the hardest part. Even one guy can murder the line (see Stroh).
