Nico won’t draft a white boy. He’s gonna swap with the Spurs.

AD wants to play the 4. Flagg is a 4. AD is going to have to go to the 5 and Gafford is going to need to be traded.

And AD doesn’t want to play the 5. I’m telling you the Mavs may not take Flagg.

Poor Utah and Washington - each moved down 4 spots.  Just brutal luck.

For Charlotte, Washington, Utah, and NOLA, there's always the 2026 draft.  And if Dallas is smart, they'll trade AD for what they can, tell Kyrie to forget about 25-26, and tank to get into the lottery again.

Three potential franchise players though Dybantsa is clearly the #1 right now.

1 AJ Dybantsa SF – BYU – HT: 6-9 – WT: 201 – WING: 6-9 – C’25 – BYU lands an elite prospect in Dybantsa, one of the best high school players of the past decade. The big wing can do it all on the court and is one of the favorites to go no.1 in the 2026 NBA Draft. Elite 25
2 Darryn Peterson SG – Kansas – HT: 6-5 – WT: 195 – WING: 6-10 1/2 – C’25 – Peterson is a quick, wiry combo guard who can do it all on the court. He excels with the ball in his hands and can get into the lane at will. Plays both ends and attacks the glass well. Has a real chance to rise into the top spot. Elite 25
3 Cameron Boozer PF – Duke – HT: 6-9 – WT: 215 – WING: NA – C’25 – Cameron is a truly special prospect and is one of the top prospects in all of high school basketball. He’s incredibly efficient at scoring the rock, making it look easy. Elite 25 Michael Beasley, Jayson Tatum

The NBA deserves to be called out for this travesty. More rigged than a Larry Donaghy called game. Get rid of the fucking Lottery. Worst records should match the draft order like the NFL.

If he doesn't draft Flagg he should be drawn and quartered in Dealey Plaza.

FUCK THE SPURS. Rockets fans had to suffer watching the worst team in the NBA for 3 straight seasons to never win the Lottery and miss out on the best player of each of these drafts yet the Spurs are gifted a ridiculous bounty by Silver.

Twitter embeds are back. Sweet

So the Rockets should tank for the next Hakeem?

By the way, Flagg and his family were NOT happy when the Mavs were announced.

I get that Dallas isn't exactly riding high as a franchise right now, but there are like a half dozen much worse places to be that he was far more likely to land at. Ain't no one wants to be a Wizard.

The power imbalance between the East and West is already bad and now it's insane.  The Texas teams and OKC are all better than any team in the East over the next few years.  Minny and Denver aren't in terrible spots, either.

Lakers are quite a way back.

I had wondered that.  Kyrie isn't supposed to be back next year and even if he does come back, it'll be late.  AD will miss time like clockwork and with his and Kyrie's ages and injury histories, you have to wonder how much time they really have left.

I suspect if OKC does't win a title this year or next, they'll be all over that 26 draft.  I don't think they make a move this year regardless of what happens.

Also if I’m Flagg I’d be elated.  Mavs will contend if everyone is healthy.  F

Kyrie is likely out all of next season and this is Anthony Davis we're talking about.

They can’t contend right now without some kind of creator until Kyrie gets back, assuming we even see him next year and he’s the same. Front court is pretty loaded now though so there is certainly a move or two to be made

Kyrie can (and probably will) opt out in a few weeks in search of more money. Does Nico back up the Brinks truck for the only Maverick who can create his own shot to pair with, potentially, the best frontcourt in the league?

Yep.

Very clear that the Mavs were told they’d win the Lotto if they traded Luka to the Lakers.

Maybe the Bucks can turn the Giannis sweepstakes into a bidding war among the Spurs, Rockets, and perhaps OKC as well.

If I'm Milwaukee, I'd want Castlel, salary filler, the #2 pick, and the ATL picks from the Spurs.

From the Rockets, give me Sengun, Eason, salary filler, the Suns pick this year and the 2027 picks.

OKC would need to give me Chet, Wiggins, and the 2028 Dallas pick.
